Upon entering this polished retreat, you'll immediately be greeted by the bright and open layout. The interior color palette seamlessly ties earthy browns, fresh whites, and cozy greys together, along with pops of vibrant yellow, to create a bright and inviting atmosphere that will instantly put you at ease and in a vacation state of mind. Outside, you'll find a covered open-air deck that provides the perfect space to enjoy breakfast or dinner al fresco and take in mountain or woodland views depending on the season. In the morning, enjoy your coffee on the back deck while you feel the fresh breeze and listen to the sound of birds and wind rustling through the trees.

After coffee, take the time to curl up on the couch with a good book, or take a late morning bath in the soaking tub while sipping a fresh mimosa. When you're ready, it is just a 20-minute stroll along the paved Flat Creek Greenway or a 3-minute drive into "The Little Town that Rocks," Black Mountain. Known as the "Front Porch of Western North Carolina," you'll spot the iconic red rocking chairs throughout this treasured small town that stand as your reminder to slow down, pull up a chair, and relax. Filled with novelty shops, art galleries, and boutiques, you can easily spend the entire day shopping for local goodies to help you remember your time in the mountains.

As your morning coffee begins to wear off, stop into the Dripolator Coffeehouse for house-roasted coffee and locally-made pastries. Just next door you'll find the Swannanoa Valley Museum and the Black Mountain Center for the Arts. SVM explores the general history of the Swannanoa Valley, and BMCA offers public exhibits, concerts, theatre, and a myriad of classes for all ages. Their upper floor gallery offers vibrant and diverse exhibits from regional artists and those who have some connection to the area and are free to the public throughout the week. After exploring regional history and art, walk a few doors down to enjoy delicious pub fare at The Trailhead, or pop into any of the many locally-owned restaurants and shops along Cherry Street in downtown Black Mountain.

For avid hikers, Montreat is a short 15-minute walk or a 2-minute drive away from Wendell's Ridge. Lookout Mountain is a great trail that's just under a mile long and offers stunning panoramic mountain views. Please note: This house is dog-friendly with a $100.00 non-refundable fee per dog (maximum of two). Sorry, this home is not cat-friendly due to common allergies. There are a total of 5 exterior cameras (1 at the driveway, 1 at the garage, 1 at the front door, 1 above the lower level egress door, and 1 on the south side), and the homeowner confirms the number of pets brought to the home via these exterior cameras. Please park in the gravel area ONLY (not in the mulch or dirt areas).
