You’re planning one of those special family get-togethers that all will talk about and remember happily for years. You need a private and safe place where multiple generations of your family can gather - perhaps to celebrate a special occasion - a landmark birthday or anniversary. Your large family requires a property roomy enough that family members can both gather together and also find privacy. Your family requires a location that offers recreational opportunities both on property and in interesting nearby locations.

Crawford on Adams Family Compund was designed with our family traditions in mind.
This 2+ acre family estate compound in the small Lake Michigan beach town of Glenn, Michigan is your answer. The Crawford on Adams Main House has 8 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms. The adjacent former Caretaker Cottage has 2 more bedrooms with full bath and 2 Guest Cabins each have their own ensuite bathrooms. The estate compound accommodates up to 30 guest across four adjacent buildings all of which were renovated in 2022 to a very high standard, giving your family modern, comfortable and attractive surroundings.

COOKING & DINING: This vast amount of private space will give your family group the room you need to dine, play and explore together, creating new family memories. For family meals the dining room and connected kitchen island offers enough table space for all dine together, both indoors and on the outdoor deck. When you cook, the large Main House kitchen has a double stove top, two ovens, two sinks, two dishwashers and two refrigerators providing you with more than enough room for the family to cook and bake together. All the cookware, cutlery, plates and glasses you’re likely to need are here for you too. We provide two gas grills on the deck and an extra tank of propane in the case you run out.

OUTDOOR RECREATION: Everyone, but especially the kids, can have fun together even on rainy days in the attached indoor pool and hot tub. Over two acres of private grounds offer a lots of private space for outdoor games, relaxing and sunbathing. In addition we offer an outdoor firepit and firewood with seating, a swingset and outdoor games for kids and adults.

VIRUS CONCERNS: We recognize that all parents and grandparents are concerned about doing everything they can to protect the health of their families. We feel the same way and do everything we can to give you confidence that your family’s health is protected at North Haven Family Retreat. Here are the details. First, the house is thoroughly cleaned by our housekeeping staff. Then, upon your arrival, you will find that we have provided commercially laundered bed linens for your family, including freshly laundered sheets, blankets and two freshly laundered cases for each bed pillow. And we provide a large supply of wipes for you in the case that you chose to do additional sanitizing.

At your option, the house offers optional Orkin VitalClean third party professional sanitation service prior to check-in. Orkin's trained technicians wipe down all high-touch surfaces followed by a misting application using specialized equipment and its EPA "List N" disinfectant which is both effective against viruses including COVID-19 and also carries the EPA's lowest toxicity rating (Category IV), defined as “practically non-toxic and not an irritant. HEATED INDOOR POOL: The heated indoor poolhouse is attached to the house and insures great family fun rain or shine. The heated pool is 32' x 16' and 4.5' at it's deepest point. In addition there is an 8 person hot tub available for adult use also inside the poolhouse. Large windows and six skylights make the pool and surrounding recreation room a bright and airy space. There is also plenty of poolside seating.

LAKE MICHIGAN BEACHES & WATERFRONT PARKS: Lake Michigan beaches and waterfront parks are abundant and very close by. A ten minute drive to the South takes you to the famous South Beach and South Haven Lighthouse. Ten minutes to the North takes you to Oval Beach Saugatuck, ranked nationally among the top 10 US beaches. And the 400 acre VanBuren State park is just 12 miles away and features beautiful waterfront sand dunes.

PRIVATE OUTDOOR COMPOUND - A tree lined driveway leads you in to this very private and fenced 2.5 acre parcel. A large patio is located directly off the pool providing a perfect place for grilling, outdoor dining and fireside gatherings.

CANCELLATION & TRAVEL PROTECTION POLICIES: We do not offer refunds for cancelled reservations. Our cancellation policy needs to be this strict because most families book their gatherings 5 to 7 months in advance. As such even 60 days notice often does not allow for a comparable rebooking. Therefore we strongly recommend that you purchase VRBO's Travel Protection policy. We will even reimburse you for half the cost of that policy if unused at check out. In addition, if you do have to cancel for any reason, we will use our best effort to rebook your dates with another family to recover any uninsured loss of your investment.
