This newly built cabin is remote and secluded. It is built on the hillside and in the woods directly above the South Fork of the Red River. Its main feature is the spectacular view of See Rocks (a named arch in the Red River Gorge), which can be enjoyed from the deck and master bedroom balcony. The living space is open and inviting. The cabin is ideally situated 15 minutes from the Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge, and the hiking, climbing, and recreational attractions the area offers.

Unique to this property are our 5 miles of private hiking trails and the only mountain biking trails in the area. You can literally hike or bike from the cabin's front door.

The cabin now has high-speed fiber Internet, so streaming movies or live sports is no longer an issue! This is a new upgrade to our area.

Vista Cabin in Stanton

4 of us stayed at this cabin and loved it. If you are looking to get off the grid, this is your place. Not a soul in sight! Just trees and fresh air and spectacular view of the Daniel Boone National Forest. Cabin is just as described and had everything we needed in kitchen! Restaurants are 7-15 minutes away. Natural Bridge hiking was outstanding and close by. So many hiking options in the Gorge, hard to decide where to go. The Host of this property is very responsive, helpful and friendly. Would stay again!

Very private and clean! Our kids loved the balcony and the firepit! Very relaxing and easy to get to a lot of trails!

Peaceful and quiet

What a great cabin! It's spacious, comfortable, warm and inviting! This gem is secluded and quiet. A great place to relax and enjoy. Tom was a wonderful host! He was great at communicating and if you need recommendations, he has those too!! It was great to sit on the porch and watch the rain storm roll in. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. Thank you Tom, for sharing your home with us!!

Short Term Stay

We were there only briefly -- participating in the Jeep Jamboree. The cabin was clean, attractive, and a blessing to get to. Enjoyed getting out of Lex for a few days and the cabin was all it said it would be. Plan on returning some day for a longer stay! Communication was excellent from start to finish.

Weekend getaway

From beginning to end, nothing but a positive experience. The booking was smooth and I cannot say enough about how accessible and accommodating Tom was. Quickly answered all my questions and provided information about the area. The cabin itself was comfortable and felt like home. Sitting on the deck was quiet and serene; nothing but the sounds of nature to enjoy. We were a quick drive to multiple hiking sites (and were even able to hike around the property) so we experienced as much as we could in a weekend and decided it would be well worth another visit. Strongly recommend this cabin - you will not be disappointed.

Our second time staying

Great cabin in a remote location. The property owner has big plans for this area and brings a sense of conservation to his entrepreneurial efforts. Communication and cleanliness were key components to this property. Would stay a third time!

DBF Cabin

Our stay at the DBF cabin was spectacular. There were six of us and the cabin was plenty big enough. Had a little bump in the road at the beginning but it was handled. The location was great. There was a trail (as long as you wanted it to be) right on the property. The rooms were a great size and we enjoyed the fireplace. Tom was a great host and we will definitely be back.

Great Rental, Rough Road In

House is very nice. AC broke the night before our stay but the owner provided a standalone unit. He also offered to bring another if we needed it. Internet was pretty slow but streaming did work. DVD player only (no blu ray) so keep that in mind if you want to bring your own movies. Plenty of parking for 4 cars.

Outstanding in every way!

The cabin is absolutely beautiful with rustic feel but modern amenities. The view is unbelievable! Everything was spotless. All of the furniture was very comfortable including the beds! The owner was very responsive immediately, excellent host! We loved our stay and look forward to returning.

Perfect from start to finish

Tom was an excellent host, and was so easy to work with during the whole process. He had great local suggestions, followed up on questions very quickly and was beyond flexible. The kids loved exploring the creek area, the fire pit area and the super comfortable furniture. The home was beautifully decorated and so clean. Would definitely visit again, with or without kids! Forgot to mention - the home was located nicely in the middle of many local hot spots and climbing activities. It was only a short drive to many of our bucket list activities.

Weekend at the gorge

Place was great and close to all areas of the gorge. Everything was new and clean. Will come back again for next hiking adventure. Especially enjoyed the Banksy book.

Wonderful Weekend

We had a great time! The cabin was so clean and beautifully decorated. The views from the cabin were amazing! Location was easily accessible to hiking trails and local attractions. Tom was very attentive and responsive with any questions we had. We would highly recommend staying here and we look forward to visiting again!

Great girls weekend away

The first thought all three of us had when we first walked in was how new and clean the cabin smelled. The cabin's decor and cleanliness deserve a 10/5. The setting is gorgeous and it's a short drive to several hiking trails. Tom communicated clearly and quickly, and was great to work with. We loved our stay!

The South Fork Farm is a third-generation farm nestled in the mountains and situated along the South Fork of the Red River. The farm runs along a secondary road that is both private and yet close to all of the area activities of the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. This makes it a relaxing, non-touristy location to enjoy the outdoors.
