Cornfields and Cane - Retreat and relax on beautiful Cane River Lake.

Watch the sun rise over the cornfield while you enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch. Beautiful sunsets in the evenings overlooking the lake never disappoint.

Bringing your boat? There is a public boat launch a quarter of a mile down the road. Take a 30 minute leisurely boat ride to Front Street and enjoy the festivities.

If you are driving into town, we are 8 miles to Front street.

The indoor kitchen is fully stocked. The griddle in the outdoor kitchen is out of commission, however there is a charcoal grill for your use.

WiFi is available and you may use streaming apps to watch television, however cable tv is not offered.

The home provides ample room to bring the family. There’s nothing fancy here, but peacefulness is found in the simplicity of our home and the tranquility of the water.

Swimming is allowed at your own risk. Kayaks are on site along with life jackets. Kayaks can be used at your own risk.

Security cameras are on site capturing entrance gates, pontoon boat, boat dock, and rear entrance of the house.

Beautiful home. Beautifully decorated and gorgeous views of the river from the large back porch. This was our second stay will stay again if opportunity presents itself.

This was the perfect place for our girls' getaway weekend. Having coffee on the back porch in the morning was a highlight of our stay. This place has everything you need and is a short drive from downtown and all the shops. I would definitely go back.

This was a great place to stay for the State Cross Country meet! It was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We would definitely stay here again.

This is our 2nd time staying here for a fishing tournament in the area. The property feels like home, is clean, has great cell service, lots of tv streaming options in both the living room and master bedroom. Kitchen is stocked with dinnerware and cookware. Beds are comfortable. A/C works well and there are fans in each room. Washer and dryer works great. Plenty of porch space to enjoy in the front and back and a nice wharf. Property is fenced in with a gate to keep people out of the property or pets inside it. It is so peaceful here and completely quiet at night. Easy access to downtown Natchitoches. The host replies quickly to any questions and is a blessing to rent from. Will definitely stay here if we are in the area again. Highly recommend!!

Great stay

Really enjoyed our stay at Cornfields and Cane in Natchitoches The host Miss Nicole made sure we had everything we needed. I would greatly recommend this stay.

The property was gorgeous and had everything we needed. The bed, sofas, and indoor and outdoor chairs were all comfortable and inviting. The water pressure in the master bathroom shower was so good I wanted to get the same setup at home.The backyard is beautiful, with great views and all the amenities you need for entertaining. The front and back yards are fully fenced, which gave us peace of mind for the dogs. There are nice stairs leading down to the dock area. The terrain in the back is moderately steep at some points, so keep that in mind if you or your dogs have mobility issues and like to roam in the grass.We would definitely stay there again, and next time we would love to take the kayaks out on the water and explore the area.

Relaxation on the river

This property was perfect for an extended family weekend getaway. We had everything we needed for a fun, comfortable stay. The back patio is awesome! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
