This was an awesome stay in a very peaceful and quiet location. Spacious and comfy. There was also little black squirrel we named leinenkugel and we swear we had seen him jet skiing in the early morning.

Great location on the lake in a nice community. Wonderful outside seating area. There is room for lots of guests here. It's a recommend.

The property was perfect for six women for a weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the modern kitchen as we cooked most of our meals “at home”. The six top high top dining room table allowed us to puzzle and play games as the weather, unfortunately, did not cooperate so that we were unable to take advantage of the water toys. The house was very clean and the beds were comfy. WiFi worked well as did the AC. Lovely weekend.

The home was located in a gated community. This was nice but also presented challenges. We wanted to access the back gate and that wasn’t possible. The house was well appointed but there was a musty smell. It seemed like things hadn’t been used in some time as the paddleboat was filled with water. We enjoyed the peace and quiet but would have appreciated some furniture down on the dock.

We truly enjoyed this property for the weekend stay while we were attending a family funeral and wanted 'together' time with our adult kids. It was a PERFECT relaxing setting. We enjoyed the large dining area and enjoyed having meals together - and plenty of room for everyone!!! The setting was very quiet and sleep was plentiful!

The property was beautiful and clean. Bedrooms on the first level were spacious and beds very comfortable (mattresses were supportive/firm). There were room AC units (on top of central air) for very comfortable sleeping. The deck and side porch were lovely to sit on & there is a dock with easy lake access (the lake was so clear!). Communication with the host was outstanding! Peaceful community with a lovely walking path and so many amenities!! Easy drive into Fredericksburg, so much history to explore near by! Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay

The house was perfect for multiple families. All the rooms have king beds. The clubhouse beach and being right on the water was perfect with young kids. Owner was easy to reach and checked in with us. We would definitely stay again!

We were there to celebrate my best friends end of life. The party at the boat club was excellent. Our whole gathering was very beautiful. The rental was exactly what we needed at the time. Thank you for extending your hospitality.

Lake Front

We were attending an event at Lake of the Woods VA and this house was perfectly located to everything. We really enjoyed kayaking on the lake.

Amazing Place

Amazing place! We jave 4 small girls and my family lives in the area so for a place to stay at that had everything toddlers need, as well as teens as the grow older....beds galore...you are supposed to be outside here, so be outisde and enjoy the natural buty

Enjoyable second stay!

Our family of 13 enjoyed our second stay in "Paradise Found." It's in such a picturesque setting in a cove area of the lake. Quiet and peaceful. The house is as pictured. Nothing fancy but clean and spacious and just what we needed. We made a couple of suggestions to the owner, who graciously responded. If we don't rent her other larger home next year for an annual event in Culpeper, we hope to stay in Paradise Found again! It feels like home away from home!

Overall very good

My group of guys stayed for a golf weekend, the area was great, and the courses nearby were fun. The house was nice and the beds were comfy. The neighborhood was well appointed, and had some really nice amenities (like super awesome pickle ball and tennis courts and a nice walking trail) We did have a few electrical issues that caused some issues with the wifi and TV, but we were able to work through it. If you are arriving at night, bring a flashlight as it is very dark and can be hard to find the lockbox with the keys. Patricia was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had.

Fantastic place to unwind

My partner and I do not often have the opportunity to "get away" due to conflicting schedules, however we were lucky enough to book a short stay on this property and I couldn't have been happier with our choice. The house was clean and spacious and the owners provided tons of amenities like towels, sheets, and kitchen tools which meant I didn't have to pack anything other than my personal belongings. We even received a goodie basket with snacks and coffee pods.The owner was very prompt in responding to my messages before and during our stay and the neighbors were friendly. We enjoyed exploring the beaches in the neighborhood and hanging out on the dock and watching nature. It was very therapeutic. If you are looking for a place to unplug, this is a fantatic spot.

I have never encountered a property in this condition. While there were genuine positives, the maintenance issues were too significant to overlook. THE CONCERNS From the moment we arrived, the signs of neglect were visible. The entrances were covered in cobwebs, the outdoor deck including the furniture was visibly dirty, and the leaves in the back were not cleaned up. With a group that included kids, my concern about ticks was immediate. Inside wasn't much better. The first-floor bathroom had tiny moisture bugs on the floor and along the bathtub walls, a loose toilet seat, and a shower drain so clogged the water rose to my ankles. The same moisture bugs were present on the kitchen floor. Upstairs, the ceiling fan in the bedroom had cobwebs. Most alarming: I found a loose utility knife blade - sharp side facing outward - at the base of the bunk bed. WHAT WORKED The host was responsive when contacted, though resolution took time. The house itself was a great size for our party of 9. The ACs worked well, appliances were clean and functional, beds were comfortable, and linens were fresh. Umbrellas and folding chairs were a nice touch. The location was ideal for our trip. BOTTOM LINE Either standards have slipped or inspections aren't being conducted before guest arrivals. A property this size deserves proper pre-stay walkthroughs, especially when expecting families with children.

Came up from Chesapeake for a womens vsga tournament and the house was amazing. We had a great time staying here. The host was very responsive to our needs and we thoroughly enjoyed staying here.

Perfect lakefront getaway! Large comfy rooms and beds. Wonderful having washing machine and dryer in the basement. Very lovely home! Highly recommend!!

Patricia was an excellent host. Communications were prompt and detailed. Smooth check in and checkout. Lake access right behind the house and an abundance of lake gear available in the house made our trip even more memorable. King size beds in all rooms a big plus. The lake community and the amenities added even more value to the stay. We will be back !!!

Our stay at Paradise was lovely. Had no idea that we would be so close to so much Civil War history sites. A pleasant surprise as I expected to delve into Revolutionary War era sites. The only problem with the entire area, in general, was I 95--north or south...didn't matter.... traffic!Our home was very comfortable and the host, Patricia, was an amazing communicator. You had any questions and she was right away getting back with an answer.The convenience to the local grocery store was nice. My husband and SIL got to play golf and my grand daughter enjoyed the lake. She didn't feel very welcomed at the pool so the rules there could have been better posted.I would highly recommend the home and area to anyone who enjoys history, golf and a lake life.

Excellent stay!

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay in this clean home nestled in the trees on the lake. The 2 bedrooms downstairs are very spacious, and the 2 rooms upstairs were perfect for kids to crash in! The kitchen was very well stocked. The water out of the refrigerator was great. The bathrooms were also well stocked with toilet paper, towels, wash cloths, and even some shower soaps. The only trouble we had getting there was that our GPS took us to the back gate the first night, which did not have a guard shack. Therefore, we did not have access to get through. We then discovered what GPS had done and found our way to the front gate which had the guard shack. We were able to get checked in properly and drive through the gate. So, be sure GPS does not take you to the back gate! We definitely plan to go back and enjoy "Paradise Found" again!

Perfect Wedding Weekend Stay

When my partner and I first saw this location, we were in love with it. We had trouble booking through another platform at first but Tricia was extremely responsive and helped us book easily after some complications. Communication was impeccable and it made our wedding weekend go so much smoother. Overall, the property is beautiful, the view is beautiful, and I could not recommend booking this place more. We are hoping to book again in the future.
