Hosts were very responsive and friendly to communicate with. The space was perfect for all the families in our group and we'll cherish the time we shared making s'mores around the fire pit and making meals together in the kitchen.

We had such a wonderful stay! The home was beautiful, comfortable, and came equipped with everything we could possibly need. The complimentary s’mores were such a thoughtful touch and definitely appreciated by the whole family!We were able to celebrate my Nana’s 81st birthday, my aunt’s birthday, and my daughter’s 10th birthday all in one special weekend, and this will definitely be a birthday to remember. Having our entire family together in such a beautiful home made the celebration even more meaningful.Thank you so much for sharing your home with us and for helping make our family celebration so special. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend this home!

The hummingbird house was amazing. Our family really enjoyed the stay. A perfect place for multi generational families. Kids had their own spaces to hang out and play as well as spaces to fit all 9 of us together. We did bring some of our own gear, but the house also had plenty of amenities to use from boats and kayaks to fishing equipment. Beaches, pools and playgrounds were all close by we had plenty do do all week. The boat was incredibly responsive and helpful. Without a second thought, would book here again!

Fantastic stay!!!I can’t recommend this location enough! The property was beautiful, clean, well-appointed, and gracious. There was something (and some place) for everyone in our group, regardless of what they enjoyed. The location was conveniently located for several delightful outings (DC, Shenandoah, etc). Excellent communication with the host.

Everything was just so perfect, and the host was helpful at every turn. My family was in town for my dad's memorial service, and the house was just so peaceful and comfortable.

Awesome stay

Best stay I ever had... community was beautiful and friendly. Host was very attentive and updating on everything. Me and the children loved the house and will be booking again!!!

Great house for 2 families

We have 2 families, with 4 in each family. Great house to stay at. In under 2 hours, you can visit so many amazing places.House kept our adult kids occupied on the rainy days. They loved the basement game area, and hung out there every day. We also had a chance to use the kayaks, how fun.Would absolutely reserve this house again if in that area in the future. Thank you.

Relaxing, clean lake house

Our family’s Girls Weekend was a fun and relaxing time. The property was very clean, easy to check-in including with the Community’s security. The property owner communicated clear instructions and was very responsive to our messages. Great location to visit Fredericksburg and Central Virginia like Orange County. We did both. Highly recommend renting this property

Fabulous Cousins' Weekend

Each May, my gal cousins meet for a long weekend together to catch up on our lives and our families and enjoy activities together in an area that's reasonably commutable and offers activities of interest. This is our first stay in this area and in Hummingbird Lakehouse. The property is just as advertised and very comfortable and well stocked. The kitchen is wonderful with more than sufficient cookware and service ware for our group of six. We spent a lot of time over snacks & meals around the big square dining table. The sleeping arrangements were such that except for one case, each had her own sleeping quarters. Two of us shared the large master bedroom and all were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the deck and the small screened in porch. The water level was a little low for us to consider the kayaks as we're all of retirement age. We enjoyed walks in Lake of the Woods, an afternoon at Woodbrook Farm Vineyard, Sunday brunch at the Clubhouse, a trip to in downtown Fredericksburg, and a spring craft show in the community. The host is a very good communicator and made sure we had what we needed. I would certainly be happy to stay here again on a future Cousins' Weekend. Kudos to the host.

Such a well-appointed house! Beautiful stay!

My family/friend group of nine had the best time over Labor Weekend at the Hummingbird House. We had everything we needed in this home. It was one of the cleanest rental properties I've ever stayed in and we travel a lot! The property manager Janette was incredible in her communication, and we really appreciated all of the tips she provided us. Everything about our stay was "easy"...meaning we didn't have to question how to use anything, look for anything, etc. We especially enjoyed the pool table, kayaks, screened-in deck, outdoor lights, and expansive living area. The area is so nice and quiet and we all enjoyed the large swimming pool in the community which was about 8 minutes away by car. We got two free passes and the rest of us paid $7 per person to swim for a few hours which was worth it to us. One thing to note as this house is listed as "five bedrooms". The basement area is considered a bedroom because it has a pull-out sofa. This was perfect for our group but may not be suitable for other groups. We made great memories in this house and it was perfect for our mix of adults and four children. Thank you again!

Incredible host/hostess! Super fast response to any messages, great communication, and a beautiful place to vacation, hang out, or use for work space! Very clean, plenty of room for all our guests, and we had a blast watching football and having a pool tournament. Highly recommend!
