Galveston Stay

Condo was clean and comfortable. The only complaint is that the primary bedroom bed was lumpy and uncomfortable.

Enjoyable

This property was exactly as we had hoped. It was clean and quiet! The beach was closer than we expected. The pool and hot tub were a must with the windy week we visited. Hope to be back again!

Nice well-equipped unit

Had a really nice stay at this unit 1002. It is over the grass and palm tree area not the pool which is good. Fabulous ocean views. Always enjoy staying the The Galvestonian. Friendly staff and well maintained! Eat at Katie’s Seafood place. Outstanding seafood and the Chef’s special is always great. Also, great property management. Kept us informed.

Nice Getaway

Very relaxing and peaceful. The unit was clean and quiet. Checkin was easy and they responded quickly to any problems or complaints. We will return.

Love the Galvestonian !

We always enjoy our stay at the galvestonian, it is a beautiful property and the pool and beach are amazing. This unit 1002 was nice and clean, we did miss not having a washer and dryer in the unit, but other than that it was great.

It was really nice with a wonderful view of the ocean. Everything was really nice one minor issue was no small bar soap provided. Minor issue but property was beautiful.

Great Condo on 10th floor

Our unit was very clean and nicely decorated. I would suggest to the owners to stock kitchen with salt and pepper, coffee filters and extra trash bags. Other than that it’s perfect!

Nice Condo, Great Views, Super Location

Enjoyed the stay in Galveston. Condo was comfortable and mostly as advertised. No window coverings on master b/r or living area since all the windows and doors were replaced recently. Had some problems with electrical outlets which was reported to property manager. Otherwise, had a nice stay.

A Great Stay At The Galvestonian

My family makes the pilgrimage to Galveston Island every year and we always stay at the Galvestonian. This year we stayed in room 1002 offered by Ryson Vacation Rentals and we could not have had a better time. First off, I requested an early checkin time and they personally texted me when the room was ready. Also, on our departure, we accidentally left one of our phones and they texted us about finding such phone and we were able to go back and get it. What a great group to rent from and work with. My hat is off to the company Ryson Vacation Rentals.

The only issue I can see is the visitor policy should be more prominently explained as they are not allowed on the property except in the room. Otherwise just fine.

Great visit

Property was as described but amenities in kitchen were dated. Beautiful complex, views, etc. Renting through VRBO was easy. Property management company process was long and there was a lot of communication about "rules" and long list of guidelines. Separate contract process and should payment were odd.

Beautiful, but…

The mattress in the master bedroom was the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on. I ended up sleeping on the twin mattress in the spare bedroom with my 5 year old. My husband ended up sleeping on the mattress and left with sore legs,neck, and hips!

Great location, mediocre condo

The location of the condo was great, away from crowds and great beach access. Unfortunately, the condo and property had no washer/dryers for guest (which was indicated in original listing) and the reason we chose this property. We also found out when we arrived that the property did not provide any pool/beach towels (which we would have brought ourselves if we had known). Condo unit was a bit dated. A toilet seat was broken off and the hair dryer was broken in the 2nd bedroom. The location, privacy and beach access is excellent and the Galvestonian staff were great, but the condo unit itself could use some improvements. We would definitely consider staying at the Galvestonian in the future, but prefer a more undated condo w/ a washer and dryer.

Beautiful Waterfront Condo in quiet area

I did a lot of research on a condo in Galveston. I did not want to stay in the "SeaWall" area which is where restaurants, hotels, etc are located. In the SeaWall area you have to walk across 5 lanes of traffic to get to the beach. Also it is very noisy. This condo is in the "beachtown" area where you can take an elevator down, walk outside and the beach is right there. The condo was super clean and spacious. The only downside is the condo does not have a washer & dryer and the condo complex only lets residents (not temporary guests) use their onsite washer & dryers. Other than that it was perfect. The complex is beautiful and I will keep an eye out for the possibility of buying a unit.

Would Not Recommend this condo for families.

We stay at The Galvestonian every year and this is by far the one property I would never recommend. It has cracks all in the floor and there are no blinds in the master bedroom or in the living room. So why I understand they don’t want to obscure the view it is extremely bright with nothing to block out the sun… And when you have a two year old staying in a pack and play with you it is less than ideal for a family vacation! We had issues with the toilet seat and reported it to Ryson vacation rental along with the fan in the master suite and they said they would fix it and they did nothing. If you go through Ryson you don’t get your room cleaned and no extra towels. There’s also no mesh on the guard rails like most units and my son could fit through. The amenities in this condo are also very sparse unlike the others that are updated. I would never book another vacation through Ryson. The owners need to advertise this condo is not ideal for families with small children and please get some shades!

Great unit with great view

We had a small glitch during checkin and called the property manager’s help desk. The agent was friendly and helpful. The issue was quickly resolved and we were given a later checkout time at no charge for the inconvenience. The front desk staff was super friendly throughout our stay. The unit was immaculate and just as pictured in the listing. The ocean view was great and all appliances and electronics were modern and worked without problems. We recommend this rental without reservations.

Beautiful and quiet location

Lovely 2br condo right on the water on the quiet part of the island. Beautiful sunrise each morning and a walk on the beach was a great way to start each day! Check-in process was a breeze and the property mgmnt folks (Ryson) were great when we asked about a later check-out due to our departure flight being delayed. The only nit is the lack of convenience amenities like bathroom soap (small bars), shampoo (none), etc. However, would certainly stay there again! Thanks!
