Jolly Roger | Pet Friendly, Porch, Near Pool!

Jolly Roger is located in the heart of much sought after Jamaica Beach on the west end of Galveston Island. This charming three bedroom two bath home will accommodate up to 7 guests and offers guests close proximity to the local community swimming pool (open in the summer) and the community boat launch. This home has been very well maintained and is updated throughout, giving guests the ideal vacation rental.

This home has an extra-large driveway (yes, you can park your boat in the driveway), walking distance to Jamaica Beach pool and park or a short golf cart ride to the beach (ask about our concierge services). Beyond the expanded concrete driveway is a screened-in porch at ground level, large outdoor shower and charcoal grill (to be used on ground level away from the house).

When guests enter the home they are greeted by a full-size kitchen with Corian kitchen counters, large refrigerator, oven, dishwasher and more than enough kitchen tools and supplies to prepare meals for the whole group. The living area features a large flat-screen television and two sofas. The living area is large enough to use one of the two twin roll-away beds that are tucked into the bedroom closets. The roll away beds move where you want them - if children like sleeping nearby or if they want more autonomy and want to sleep in the living area. No sleeper sofa in this property. The primary bedroom features a large storage closet with sliding barn doors and an all new primary bath with custom cabinetry. The primary bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan and television. The second bedroom features a queen bed and the third bedroom features a full-size futon that folds out.


JAMAICA BEACH

Jamaica Beach Texas is one of the most popular beaches and sought after neighborhoods when it comes to vacation rentals – what it lacks in size, it makes up for action during the summer months, holidays and event weekends! Jamaica Beach is far enough out to be away from the hustle and bustle of Seawall (8 miles), and but not too far away from most of the island attractions (10 miles from 61st Street). Jamaica Beach also has it’s own community pool and private marina and boat ramp, Regatta Basin, a community pavilion and playground.

All Ryson properties are non-smoking.

This home is pet-friendly. All pets must be registered, and pet fee ($100/pet) must be paid upfront. Outside the home, dogs must be leashed at all times, and owners are responsible for picking up after dogs. Please review Ryson’s 'Tips for Traveling with Pets' for additional information.

City Park Pool open from Memorial Day - Labor Day Tuesday - Sunday 12pm - 7pm with a $5.00/day charge.
No white trash bags allowed; all trash has to be in black trash bags. The City will issue citations.

This vacation home should accommodate up to 4 vehicles to be parked at the property. Carpooling is highly recommended. Vehicles should be parked in the driveway or designated parking space. At no time should any vehicle be parked on lawns, yards or dune. Many HOAs do not allow parking for trailers, RVs, boats, etc. Please contact Ryson with any questions.

Jamaica Beach is a residential neighborhood, and quiet hours are enforced between 10 pm and 7 am.

Even if listed as a provided amenities, Ryson is unable to guarantee specific cable package, network or channels or cable and internet signal quality and cable may not be available on all TVs. Oftentimes additional TVs are available for guests wanting to hook up their own game systems or streaming devices.

All reservations require a completed Ryson Rental Agreement, and the agreement holder must be at least 25 years of age to rent this property and provide a valid ID at check-in. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is at 10 am.


EXTENDED STAYS

Monthly rentals are considered in the off-season - Winter Texans, snowbirds, retirees, corporate stays, medical professionals, university students and plant workers are welcome. Extended stays or monthly rentals require a stay of 30+ nights, and these reservations are tax exempt. This is an immediate savings of 15%! Although most extended stay reservations are between the middle of November through February, extended stays may be considered anytime between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Extended stay reservations may not be placed online, but a Ryson Vacation Planner would love to answer any questions you may have and help you reserve your extended stay.

Dirty beds

The only issue we had is we felt it wasn't very clean, the 2 beds had sand on the sheets that wasn't from us. The bunk beds had dog hair all over it and we did not bring our dog. Felt like the sheets/bedding wasn't very clean.

Had a great time.

This house was clean. The 2 queen beds where comfortable. The futon was not. It was broken but the property manager replaced with an air mattress asap. This house is located on the Bay side not the beach side. It is located in a nice neighbor hood and getting to the beach is easy by car. There is a nice pool right down the street and you can fish off the dock. They have lots of sand toys for the kids. They have an extra refrigerator down stairs that was very handy. There are some miner repairs needed. The biggest issue we had was with the Kitchen. There are hardly any pots, pans, dishes, silver ware, cups and so on. The add said they had spices. Nope. We found one salt shaker way back in a cabinet. Over all we had a great time.

Overpriced for what you get

Just a rollaway and an air mattress in the 3rd bedroom. Rollaway was too uncomfortable to sleep on. Air mattress cover was soiled. One dish towel in the kitchen. BBQ grill is falling apart. Flooring in living area is coming up. All-together way too much money for the quality of the place. We've rented through VRBO many times. This was the most expensive, yet the cheapest-looking place we've encountered. We were very disappointed.

Did not meet expectations

I stayed at this beach house from May 31st and checking out June 5th. First of all the Outside was horrible, grass was not cut so we could not enjoy the outdoors. Also, the screen porch had a hole so we couldn't be in that area due to the mosquitoes. The area Outside was not organized or cleaned at all, it seemed like no one had been here in a while. The key for the dryer and washer was not given to us until the 2nd day. We also had to call maintenance because there was an unsafe table in the middle of the living room, a chair in the dining room that did not work and several of my family members waking up stuffy due to a dirty filter. Also NO water hose available. Lastly, my golf cart supposed to be delivered in the morning and I didn't get it until 1pm. All of this things are basic and should have not happened with all the money we paid.

Short review of property

Too small for 10 people...we just had 6 show and were well packed. Nice property. Only 1 roll of toilet paper. Nothing really provided. I thought maybe because of COVID
