Cozy beach house - 3 minute walk to beach - with everything you need to relax!

"A Wave Away"...from all your stress and worries. Enjoy this cozy beach house, 3 bedroom - 2 bathroom.

Everything you need to relax at the beach is included. Begin your morning and watch the sunrise over the ocean from the top deck. Ready to hit the beach? A short walk (~ 3 minutes) to the beach and we provide everything; beach chairs, beach canopy, beach towels, beach toys, ice chest and a wagon to help carry it all. Time to wash off the sand and salt, in addition to the 2 bathrooms there is also an outdoor shower. All you need to refresh is included in bathrooms; bath towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

We have your tech needs covered with; high-speed Wi-Fi, Roku/Smart TV's and alarm clocks with 20 white noise sounds. Beds, nightstands and end tables all equipped with built in power strips with USB ports and plugs.

Relax and unplug with some friendly competition and have a game night. Chess/Checker table, multiple board games, cards, Pac-man arcade game, outdoor jenga, corn hole and yard dice.

Kitchen is fully stocked with drinkware, dishes, utensils, pots/pans, mixing bowls, baking dishes and BBQ tools for the BBQ pit. Drinkware and dishes provided in both ceramic/glass and plastic. Keurig Duo coffee maker; single serve and 12 cup carafe drip coffee brew combo; we provide enough coffee to get you through 1 morning. Appliances; electric stove/oven, refrigerator with in-door water dispenser and ice maker in freezer, dishwasher, blender, hand mixer and toaster. Washer and dryer located in the garage.

King bedroom with bathroom: King bed, bathroom with dual sink vanity, jetted garden tub and separate shower. Queen bedroom: Queen bed. Bunk Bedroom: Queen over Queen bunkbed with full size trundle. Living room Queen Sofa Sleeper. Hall bathroom with walk in shower including dual shower heads on each side of shower.

House is within walking distance of 2 restaurant/bars, coffee shop and convenient store. A grocery store is just 1 mile away. Access to the Jamaica Beach community pool (small daily fee may be required) and park is available and is less than a 5 minute drive within the neighborhood.

Get ready to explore Galveston; just a quick 15-20 minute drive away. Take in the sights from the Seawall; shopping, dining and entertainment on The Historic Strand; aquarium, museum and golf course at Moody Gardens; water park adventure at Schlitterbahn; roller coaster rides, carnival games, dining and shopping at Pleasure Pier; and countless other adventures and restaurants throughout the island.

Staying at "A Wave Away" was a fantastic experience. Our kids declared that if we go back to Galveston this is the only place to stay ( we have gone three times in the last 8 years). We even had inclement weather and our host made sure that we were where is safe while we were out on the Seawall. We'll definitely use this location again when we go back.

This house was amazing! The host was friendly and easy to work with, the property is right where we love to be and the fact all 4 of my kiddos had their own bed was awesome! Will definitely be back!

Great Place

Great place to stay. Place was as advertised. Tisha was great host and kept us informed when something was going on in the neighborhood that affected us. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to my family and friends.

Loved our stay! I have so many good things to say! The host was amazing & so easy to work with. The house was very clean & the beds were comfy! Kitchen fully stocked & not to mention every item you need for a beach day! It made beaching with two toddlers as easy as you can make it LOL We will be back!

The Perfect Home Away From Home!

My husband found the ‘A Wave Away’ beach-house on VRBO, and the pictures were gorgeous! We booked with Tishia, and her courtesy and communication throughout the process were excellent. We ended up needing to postpone, and Tishia was super understanding and made that happen for us. Soon after that, Hurricane Beryl hit and we moved our dates again. Tishia kept in frequent contact about the status of the clean up, power outages, beach closures, etc and it greatly helped in our decision not to cancel altogether. We had great conversations and shared that this was our first family trip to the beach, and would be our daughter’s first time seeing the ocean. When we got to the house, we saw immediately it was even more beautiful in person. The home was immaculate, gorgeously decorated to suit the salt and sea, and there was an unexpected and very sweet surprise when we walked in. It just showed how much thought and care she puts into it. Everything we needed (and many things we never thought of) were in place and ready for use! Lots of space, games, pots and pans (bring your own groceries!), comfortable beds and plenty of bedding, laundry detergent, luxurious bathrooms-this house had it all! It truly felt like a “home away from home”. Our daughter’s favorite part of the house was the Pac-Man arcade game and the jacuzzi tub. We loved how close the beach was, and we really enjoyed sitting on the top deck for the view. We are eagerly looking forward to our next vacation at A Wave Away

Totally Amazing

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The owners put a lot of thought into this home making it a home away from home. The house has just about anything you could think of. Everything was of great quality regardless of it being a rental. This house is very well decorated and cozy. The property is in walking distance of the beach. And last but not least, Trish was very communicative with details of the upcoming trip. We were all in awe and will definitely be back. Thank you Trish for a delightful mini vacation!

Everything I expected for a relaxing visit!

This was my 1st time ever booking a trip! I was really hesitant at 1st but the host answered all my questions and she was fabulous! The place was so cute! Next time we book here, we are planning to bring our golf cart. My sister in law booked on the beach however, I actually thought this place was much nicer!

Our first tropical storm at the beach!

If you can find a vacancy at this remarkable property, take it! We stayed an entire week and didn’t want to leave. Guests included Mimi and Bob-Bob, our daughter and son-in-law and three grandchildren ages 5, 8 and 11 and our son and daughter-in-law that flew in from San Francisco. The amenities offered were too many to list. The third day of our stay a tropical storm showed its power. We had fun playing the games provided and Tisha kept us updated with info on the storm. We even went to town and saw a movie at the combo theater/bowling alley. I can’t say enough about the great property and wonderful host. We will definitely be back!

Galveston Vacation

We enjoyed our stay very much. House was wonderful. loved decor & all the extra little touches. The only thing is...didn't realize we had to pay to use the community pool. Wish we'd know ahead of time.

A Wave Away Worth The Stay

We came to Jamaica Beach to get away for a while and not be so close to Galveston. A Wave Away provided everything we needed from beach towels, wagons, outdoor games, chairs, and even a cool canopy! The host thought of every nuance to make the stay enjoyable… so enjoyable we decided to stay an extra day! The host accommodated us and was great with communication. Thank you, and we will be back!

fabulous weekend

Highly appreciated how well the ac worked. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, short walk to beach, had tons of amenities, ample parking for 5 cars, filled propane tanks to bbq, close to stores and coffee shop. Great communication with host, super easy check in. 10 out of 10. if they were any cons and im just nit picking, didnt have hdmi cable for nintendo system, and top bunkbed mattress was higher than railing, we didnt have anyone sleeping on there. Home away from home, could go on and on about how fabulous it was. Oh and my 13 yo son chose this beach because of the beautiful decor and i love how well the description of the place was written! with all that i didnt find any dust on them.will definitely stay again.

Beach time

We stay at “A wave away” house two years in a row and it has been awesome both time. The host is great and the house has everything you need for a day on the beach. The beds are very comfortable and we had 9 people and we never ran out of hot water for showers. The house is located close enough to the beach it’s an easy walk to the surf!! My grandbabies loving staying there, before we leave they have to tell the house bye bye we see you next summer. lol.

Best Beach House Ever!

Oh I have so much to say! Fabulous comes to mind. The owners were awesome. They met us there and we were able to pay them to unload all of our stuff upstairs for us. I had asked about a crock pot and Tisha supplied a brand new one for me! They have paid so much attention to every detail in the house. I am a chef so I was extra noticing of the little flamingos on the silver and the flamingo on the china and the cups match the color motif of the house. Very nice towels and super comfortable and beautiful beds and pillows. Although we brought everything we needed they did provide a ton of beach items to be used. Fun games, wagon, coolers, towels, chairs. Super nice washer and dryer! All the kitchen and bathroom necessities were provided as well. We had a huge storm roll through and the owners were texting me letting me know safety procedures just in case. The owners and the home were truly amazing.

Most Needed

The Location is great, easy to get to all the attractions of the island and walking distance to the beach. The house and property is large enough to accommodate 6- 8 adults The interior is beautiful, and the beds are FANTASTIC ! A great time was had by all!

Perfection

We stayed over Thanksgiving week and easily checked in- our host thoughtfully proved snacks, a note, and a fresh flower arrangement for our holiday weekend! The kitchen had everything one could need, enough coffee for our stay, and a combination koreg and drip coffeemaker. Bedrooms were roomy with a nice towel and washcloth stack for each guest. The bunk bed room was a hit with the teenagers with their private deck access. A plethora of games and puzzles were provided and used! A very short walk to beach, a good convenience store with to-go cafe options… we had everything needed. I would stay here again and again!!!!

More beautiful than I ever expected.

There were 7 of us including our 12 year old daughter. The video game kept her satisfied enough that we actually got to enjoy our weekend away. We came for the Lone Star Rally and were informed that we would be able to check in early if we wanted since there was no one booked the night before. We were able to do this with no extra charges. The house was equipped with everything we needed to live very comfortably during our visit. My daughter was playing with the digital lock on the front door and accidentally set off the alarm so i had to call the property owners to resolve that small hiccup. I didn't get an answer so i left a message and Trish called me back almost immediately. Even though she was on vacation in the Czech Republic, she and her husband couldn't have been nicer people. The rest of the weekend was wonderful without any needs that weren't met. The house, in itself will definitely bring us back again and again.

Exceeded my expectations!

My family really enjoyed our stay! The property was in great condition, very clean, and had more amenities and conveniences than expected. The reviews are all accurate - this is an extremely well run property. The owner was very responsive and accessing the property was a breeze. Being so close to the beach was awesome and I was impressed to see the owner provided all the beach gear we could’ve needed ( beach toys, chairs, coolers, wagon, yard games, boogie board). There were 4 adults and 2 kids in our group. Everyone had more than enough room, beds/linens were all comfortable, A/C worked very well, great showers, etc. In addition to taking advantage of the fully equipped kitchen, we all loved having Way West Grill & Pizzeria close by for dinner! This iss the best experience I’ve had with a rental. We will definitely be staying here when we come back for our next Galveston visit. Thank you!!

Relaxing trip!

I wanted to get all four of my grown kids/spouses and a new grand baby together to enjoy the end of our summer. It was perfect! Everyone had plenty of space, the kitchen was well equipped, perfect beach supplies (wagon chairs canopy and toys!) and plenty of fresh towels. The grill worked great too! We would definitely stay again! Short drive to beach. Quick drive to area pool! ($5 ea was reasonable) Highly recommend for a relaxing family getaway.

Wonderful house!

We absolutely loved staying at A Wave Away. It is an extremely well appointed house. Plenty of places for everyone to sleep comfortably. Beautiful kitchen with everything you need. So close to the beach! Easy to find, check in, and check out. Loved all the beach supplies in the garage. Tisha is a dream to work with. It was all just so wonderful. Thank you!!

Perfect beach house and location!

A Wave Away is the perfect little beach house and is just a few minutes walk to the beach. It is exactly as stated in the description and has everything you could ask for. The beach accessories were put to good use as were the board games. Tisha was a pleasure to work with and was quick to respond to any questions we had about the house or the area. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to return next year!
