Welcome to Heavensent, our beloved family tiny home nestled in the woods, with a lake view of the beautiful Tracy City right on top of Monteagle Mountain.

The Retreat at Water’s Edge is a tiny-home community 20 minutes from The University of the South, better known as Sewanee. A short trip to Chattanooga or Nashville, close to lots of lookouts, great restaurants, hiking trails, caverns, and Jack Daniel’s Distillery—Tennessee at its best!

Heavensent was super clean with all the accommodations you need for a wonderful weekend by beautiful lake. We loved hanging out by the porch and firepit. The neighborhood is quaint and close to restaurants and The University of the South. I highly recommend Heavensent Tiny Home!

Heavensent was just that, Heaven sent. I feel that the listing is very accurate. We loved the location. The area is very quiet and peaceful. It’s a great place for a reset, it does have a TV and WiFi just in case you can’t fully break away from life. Trails are nearby so we enjoyed some outdoor activity while there. I can’t say anything negative about it and would definitely stay here again.

Awesome tiny home

Stayed one night to go to a concert at the caverns. The home was quaint and comfortable. She even decorated for Christmas. It was a great place. I’d love to go back when we can stay longer.

Cute and cozy stay

We really enjoyed our stay! Our daughter came with us and loved sleeping in the bunk bed. Very clean and cozy cabin and we enjoyed using the fishing poles and bubbles for kids provided!

Short and Sweet

Heavensent was great convenient location for our 3 day trip. Everything was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the whole neighborhood atmosphere.

Relaxing Oasis

It was beautiful and just as described. The perfect place for us to get away for our anniversary as we hit a few different places. Although it was a short stay this time we would certainly entertain returning to stay a few more nights.

Great location!

Cute house! Perfect for 3 and wonderful location! Needs a good deep cleaning to clear spider webs, dust and scuff marks throughout. But those are very minor. Would definitely recommend and hope to rent it again!

Such a cute tiny house community!

The property was among many tiny houses with several communal amenities including playground, games, and fire pits. The periphery itself had lots of room outside, a slide, a fire pit, and grill. Such a cute tiny house with everything you could need!! Would absolutely stay again!

Exactly as described

Very clean. I think this place must be pretty new. Several new homes still under construction in the development. Looks exactly like the pictures. Would definitely stay here again.

We will be back!

We are active seniors 63&66 and loved our stay at Heavensent. The driveway is easy to get in and out of. Some driveways there are very sloped this one was great. We had bikes to unload and luggage. Bed definitely needed to be firmer and larger for sure. Looked and felt like a double bed. Definitely need a keurig coffee maker. These are the only two things we found that could be improved upon. Cabin was spotless. Very safe there and close to lots of things to do. Other small touches were wonderful and made a great impression for us. Has everything you need. Lots of little extra special things to make it feel like home. Overall we would definitely stay again. Hopefully the mattress will have been replaced by then.

Cozy Little Space

As I said cozy, a bit small for us, but we enjoyed the surroundings, and the decks. I wouldn't recommend this property or many others in Retreat compound to seniors, unless you have great mobility, this area is very hilly, including the approach to this and other units, large loose stones can cause a fall. The shower tub in this unit is dangerous, very big step in/out height, and a bit slippery around drain, which was in the center!! There was hand hold either. As I said precarious! It's a shame, no thought was put into safety, so I don't recommend this unit.

Just what we wanted

We had the most relaxing weekend. The house is beautifully situated with wonderful views. We enjoyed the fire pit and we enjoyed the convenience of being near The Caverns concert venue and the state park offed a great day of hiking.

Graduation Weekend

Perfect Weekend Getaway

This tiny house was adorable. We stayed in on Friday night to grill and chill by the outdoor firepit. We had EVERYTHING we needed to enjoy our weekend. Very detail oriented. Can't wait to visit again!

Small town stay

Had a two day stay for a show at The Caverns. About a 15-20 min drive from the venue. The tiny home was clean and accurately described on VRBO. Used the washer / dryer. Worked perfectly. Cute and quiet rental community on a lake. Tracy City is a one horse town with an old bakery and a grocery. One small complaint - float on the shower bounced from hot to cold while in use. Probably an easy fix. Would stay here again for sure!!
