Beautiful stay! We loved the screened in porch and back deck. Condo was nicely laid out and had everything we needed. Cannot say enough about Tortuga properties. Our minor issues and questions were responded to immediately! We hope to be back soon and would stay there again!

If you are looking for a no frills, cost effective property with great access to the beach and Safety Harbor Club, this is the place for you. It has been well loved but did the job with only a few hiccups. Most of the issues were only cosmetic (broken bathroom fixtures, pictures off the wall below where they were hanging), but the mites on the stove and coffee maker and a funky odor were the pinch points for me. I am sure the high humidity environment was the source of the smell, but after washing my clothes multiple times, sadly, it came back with us. I should have said something upon arrival but we simply wanted to enjoy our vacation. Upon returning home, I brought these issues to their attention, and they were responsive.

We very much appreciate reviews and we can only assist if we are informed of any issues promptly and obviously during the stay. The only thing you sent to us at property mgmt was that you were enjoying your stay for sure and that you "wanted to mention there was a picture off the wall (needed one adhesive command strip) and the upstairs TP dispenser was broken (on the floor you were not using) but that neither issue has detracted from our experience of staying here". Following complete check out of this stay - you privately messaged mentioning explicitly "instead of writing a public review" - that you saw mites and had experienced a musty smell. We promptly investigated and found no bug issue and/or any musty or strong smell. You then asked for a 2 night refund of a 7 night stay. Since unfounded we advised you to go thru VRBOs credit evaluation process for further assistance where they ask for documentation and have percentages for credit issues etc. That did not happen, Then came this review on our highly rated homeowners vacation rental.

Bed was very comfortable, it was nice to have everything in the kitchen that we needed along with beach towels and chairs. We could have brought more water with us if we had known how awful it tasted:) The golf cart was a challenge to have to lift seat and turn on every time we used it . Overall would stay there again!

So Much Fun!

We had an amazing stay at Barefoot Bliss. The property was exactly as advertized and was clean and well appointed. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. Communication with the property manager was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Perfect for the family!

Barefoot Bliss was fantastic! Rare instance of better in person than online. They had everything and more than we needed for our young kids. It’s such a perfect location and the shared amenities (pool, gazebos, private beach access, etc) were great!

Absolute Bliss!

Barefoot Bliss was a great place for our first time on the island. It had all the amenities we could have asked for! The kitchen was well supplied, the bedrooms were all comfortable. We enjoyed the use of the kayak, fishing equipment, and golf cart. The property managers were very responsive and great at answering all of our questions. We will definitely be visiting the island again!

North Captiva Family Trip

Clean property but older and in need of some updating. It was a very relaxing place. We pretty much had the beaches to ourselves. Not having a grocery store was big negative and there are only two restaurants on the island now, one requiring reservations.

Great condo

This condo came with everything we needed. From a kayak, to beach chairs, tent, and unbrellas, goggles, snorkel gear, coolers, bags, beach toys, tons of towels. The kitchen suppliers were in the best shape of anywhere we habe stayed. The golf cart was perfect and out kids loved it. The condo was in great

Wonderful place to stay!

This was our first time staying on North Captiva and it was amazing. The house was beautiful and I loved that we had a washer and dryer onsite. The kids loved to get up in the morning and walk over to the docks and see the dolphins. We rented fishing poles from Boats N Fun and brought the kids to different areas arond the island and caught a variety of fish. It was a wonderful time. Will definitely go back. Property Management was wonderful both while booking and once we arrived. Very friendly all around!

Shellers Delight

Great location on island. Immediate response from property management about anything. Supplies- directions- recommendations- whatever is needed. Abundance of beach supplies. Beautiful beach decor throughout. Very comfortable sleeping and lounging areas. A perfect week!!

Kitchen was well equipped for our needs, with a screened in porch (with ceiling fsn) overlooking water and a large open back porch with comfortable loungers and a round table/chair/umbrella off the main bedroom. Loved that Tortuga Properties purchased and put away all the cold/frozen items I requested and responded quickly to any questions or concerns. I appreciated receiving directions and recommendations for airport/boat transportation in pdf form. Both modes of transportation were early or on time. It is a beautiful island and relaxation was why we were there, both in the pool area or beaches. Ice is available and located at the Safety Harbor Pool for anyone staying in Safety Harbor. The pool had quite a few tables, chairs and lounge chairs. You could sit in shade ir sun; with restrooms. Had lunch (and ice cream) at both Mangoes and Main Stay; cost for a fish taco or burger/fries ran around 15 and was very good. It was just fun to see the clarity of the ocean and see manatees at the docks, starfish and dolphins daily. Unique experience.

Paradise!

This condo was perfect for our family of 5. It was clean and had everything we needed for the week. Very well stocked with supplies and plenty of towels! My kids loved using the kayak! So many beach toys and chairs! This condo is well maintained and comfortable. The beach access was close and mostly empty the entire length of our stay! The pool at the clubhouse was great and my kids made use of the pickle ball court. We highly recommend staying here! The property manager made themselves available if we needed anything. Great stay and we look forward to another visit!

The best vacation ever!

As a very busy family of 4, we found a piece of paradise here that helped us all reconnect and unwind. We absolutely loved the solitude and rustic, unrefined nature of this island. We enjoyed boat charters and fishing and eating our catch! Can't get any fresher than that! Saw so much wildlife; dolphins, turtles, manatees and even a shark! Collected more shells than we could bring home! The house had the perfect amount of space that we all had privacy and connection. Everything was so comfortable. The golf cart was a nice addition to help explore the island. This vacation was the best ever as we had no stress and nothing to worry about. Can't wait to return in (hopefully) the near future!

Great week at NCI

Condo was great, had everything we needed, and listing was accurate. Property mgmt was there at the dock to greet us, and responsive to requests during our stay. Wish the kitchen were a little larger, that is about the only thing. If your with a group, plan to have one person in the kitchen at a time. That said, it did not stop us from cooking some great (and fresh) seafood. If your a planner, you can order seafood in advance and have a grocery service pick it up and deliver to Island Girls Ferry. We got some from Barnhill Seafood, and also place an order though Boats-n-Fun. Both were excellent!

Almost perfect

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Property management was wonderful, very attentive, addressed all needs. Great location and the actual townhome’s interior was in excellent condition. I was apprehensive before arriving because of the condition of other properties after the last hurricane, This townhome was great! My only surprise was one of the bedrooms upstairs. Listing has a picture of this room with two twin beds. I needed that room for one of my teens. The room is small with a sloped ceiling (VERY sloped). It was quite uncomfortable up there. There is no room to walk without bending over. Anyone slightly claustrophobic would have a difficult time. There is a small bedroom on the ground floor next to the garage with a twin bed as another option. However, it is very warm down there and there is no TV. The tiny room on top does have a TV. The other two large bedrooms are fantastic! So, if your family only needs two bedrooms, then this would be the PERFECT house. If you need three bedrooms, then don’t expect all rooms to be equal in size and comfort. Everything else was so great in the house including location and property managers that I would still return. At least now I know what to expect. My suggestion would be to please add a TV and a portable AC to the ground floor bedroom/laundry room to compensate for the tiny room upstairs. OVERALL, RENTING AT BAREFOOT BLISS WAS AWESOME :) Loved it!!

Townhouse was amazing. All amenities were as described. This location is perfect. Amy has everything lined up and hassle free. We experienced no issues during our stay. Highly recommend this townhome and North Captiva is breathtaking. If you haven’t been there yet get moving .

Great rental

Absolutely loved our stay, wonderful townhouse, very spacious and clean, perfect for a couple, or a family. Location was perfect, ferry was just a walk away. Assistance with our vacation, prior, during and at the end was outstanding, I would book this again !!!
