- Did not meet our expectations compared to what we felt was presented in post- Acceptably clean, but some wear and tear damage on walls and trim. - Some lights were out, light covers missing, etc.- Bed sheets were clean, but some bed spreads had some old, light stains of some kind (but bed spreads appeared washed)- Some chair cushions had light stains- Front door jamb and lock was damaged which caused us a security concern, but lock was functional and did work- Screen door was bent and did slide but would not close fully at top leaving a large gap.- Front steps railing left side had some rot and was wobbly- Our guests did not end up staying there, primary because of concerns with the front door jamb and lock, but again, while damaged, the lock was working.- Because no one stayed there, we requested a refund for a cleaning fee, but the host was not receptive to this discussion.

Perfect for our tournament weekend!

We were in Vancouver to play in a tennis tournament. The condo was just perfect for our home base and to relax in the evening. It was quiet and clean centrally located for all the places we needed to be.

Race Weekend Oasis

Everything was as described, and the photos barely did it justice. The balance between city access and privacy was priceless. It was the perfect place to unwind between Motocross Races throughout the week. We loved staying here & hope to return in the future. Julie is an excellent hostess with prompt responses whenever communicating. It was a very pleasant trip and all-around experience!

It is a secluded duplex in a calm neighborhood. Very quiet during the night.However, the washing machine and dryer were not in great condition... the washing machine was held together with a ratchet strap and the lint case from the dryer was missing. When we got there the towels in the main bathroom we were using smelled moldy, which we washed to get rid of.

Great Host!

My family and I were out here for a trip planning the build of our new home and this home was perfect for our needs. We found the home to be quiet and nice and the host was even able to help accommodate us when we had some change of plans. She was very friendly and quick to respond. I had a few tips for making the home more child-friendly (stoppers in the tub) and the owner was quick to solve the issue. Great home!

As a home base to only sleep and eat some cereal for breakfast – it was fine. Anything more, not great.BIG ISSUE: Host was non-responsive to my messages over the course of the stay until check-out day when she messaged asking for a good review.Pros:•Host was responsive immediately after booking and 2 days prior when I requested check-in info.•Decent sized bedrooms – King, Queen, and Queen twin futon. Comfortable beds.Cons:•No bathroom on the lowest level so anyone in that lower bedroom needs to go up two flights of stairs to get to a bathroom.•Scary electrical throughout the home. If the A/C units are running, ceiling lights and lamps flicker or strobe. oOnly one outlet in the entire house could handle a hair dryer (in the kitchen).•There’s a few pots and pans in the kitchen but they are in BAD shape. No covers for the frying pans.•Cleanliness – Dead bugs around the edges. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Carpet needs a shampoo. Bathrooms were mediocre clean… the showerhead was pretty gross. oFood was left in the freezer.oNo dish cloths or dish towels in the kitchen.oOutside dumpster was over-flowing when we arrived. •A/C –portable A/C units that do a decent job of cooling. No drain hoses connected… had to drag to the bathtub to drain it. These are not light units.•Walkability – The unit is towards the end of a dead end road. However, the road is narrow, on a steep hill, and no sidewalks.

Property

Need to make known how many steps are involed to get in. We were not made aware there were 8 steps to get up to landing, and another 7 steps to get to main floor. Another 14 steps to go up stairs. The driveway was a very steep, short and dangerous. To get off the sidewalk, with the driverways being so short and steep, almost went though the garage door. Just sheer drape on master bedroom with neighbors a stone throw away and make the room a little darker in the morning.

Vancouver stay

The townhouse was a great space for our two-week stay in Vancouver for a course. Two spacious bedrooms with separate bathrooms and a lovely kitchen and living area with plenty of space to work from home, and even another bedroom downstairs for guests. Parking included was great! Our biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of the home - when we arrived, one of the toilets was not flushed, the garbage was overflowing and not taken to the curb, and there were ants in the kitchen. The sheets were stained with black streaks (mascara?) and some of my clothing came out of the wash with that on it, too. No soap in shower and no extra paper towels, so we had to purchase some of our own supplies that were listed as included. The host was responsive about the garbage being taken out but not about a request for the cleaning fee back. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in the townhouse and it was a great size and location for our trip needs, just wish the cleanliness and accuracy of description were more for the price!

Great place to stay!

Town house is as advertised. Beds were comfy, lots of towels, etc. Suggested owner put in a TV upstairs in master bedroom and some more lighting in the living room. House was conveniently located and owner left lots of tourist information. Quiet neighborhood. Thermostat went out and owner had someone there to repair it in less than an hour! Lots of stairs but we knew that and wanted the exercise. Would use this townhouse again!
