Family Wedding

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dune Gates was a great place for 3 generations of family. We were in the area for a wedding. We had beautiful weather and found time to take the short walk to the beach several times.

Outstanding property for our three generation family gathering. We loved the middle open floor for eating, games, and talking. The bedrooms and bathrooms were super clean.The location was great: short walk to the lake and convenient for trips to the park, downtown, and hiking trails. We have stayed at this house a couple times and it is perfect for our family of 8.

Wonderful long weekend at this beautiful home with short walk to the GORGEOUS beach area! Lake Michigan views off in the distance too... Had a wonderful time. Beach chairs for use and lots of fun things to do close by including the Zoo, Casino, great restaurants plus huge outlet mall. Bring your own coffee...creamer...shampoo etc as it had none of those. WOULD stay there again! I thought pricing was great too for this house and I have travelled alot!

Beautiful home with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Nicely decorated, plenty of bedrooms with comfy beds, 3 bathrooms , multiple lounging areas, tables/counters for eating and playing games, stocked with all necessary supplies, even beach chairs and toys! Easy walk to beach at nearby public access, or if you want to rough it, a path right by the house. GREAT communication from management company too. PLUS dog friendly!!!

Fantastic property

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this fantastic property. We loved the proximity to the lake and the private feel. This house met all our needs for a group of 9.

Amazing beach home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was awesome about this beach home! Location is perfectly situated with a private path to the beach. The house was very nicely renovated and had all necessary amenities plus more. They had beach chairs to use and a beach wagon to carry things if needed. Outdoor shower with hot and cold water was perfect. Balconies overlooking a wooded area with birds and deer with Lake Michigan in the background made for perfect nights. House was very clean and very well kept for a rental. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful home and very spacious and homey with incredible views of the lake and short walk to beach . Well decorated and owner shares a lot to do around the home and where to eat and shop Cute decor and we absolutely loved our stay thank you

Hidden Sandgate Beach House

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Accommodations were modern and spacious. You will have to be able to walk stairs if you stay here. Lucky for us we see stairs as an opportunity. Everyone that stayed with us loved the place. The hike to the beach is easy if your in moderate shape. Seniors may see it as a task. Parking is at a premium only 3 spots. We had to have family park out on the street. Luckily the neighbors were nice. The grill is apartment sized and was difficult to cook for the family but we got it done. The house could use a once over... paint, cleaning etc. The average person will not notice but that is how I make a living. Water pressure in the showers is inadequate it simply does not give enough water or pressure. Over all the place was popular with everyone that stayed with us. The mini split air conditioners are ice cold. You will enjoy your stay if you pick this one.

The beaches were beautiful but quiet, and the house offered the perfect location to rest and enjoy the quiet. The house was clean, comfortable, and close to the beach. I would highly recommend it to anyone vacationing near the Indiana Dunes.

Downgraded last minute, no discount Offered

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Less than five days before our arrival time we were told that the cabin was not available because it needed maintenance. A different cabin was offered for the first three days of the five day reservation. The replacement cabin was similar in size but was not on the beachfront. An apartment with a refrigerator was available for the six hours between checkout time and check-in time on the moving day between cabins, but there was no parking available and we had to move twice on that day. This ate up one day of the five day vacation and request for some kind of discount were refused. Also the check-in time was almost an hour late because the cleaning crew was still there long after 4 PM

Lots of room so that everyone could be together on the main floor and yet have privacy or alone time in the bedroom spaces. We played several family games and card games, sometimes 3 different ones going on at the same time, in the common area. 3 showers were helpful, as well as the rinse off shower outside! Very clean, very well stocked, nice balcony areas, and just steps from the beach! We are in our 70s, and our children and their spouses (40s), and our grandchildren ( 11 and 14), all had a wonderful time together! Great memories!

Wonderful Stay — Just Bring Your Own Kitchen Basics

The size of the home and its layout were perfect for our family, providing plenty of space to spread out and enjoy. The location cannot be beat—so convenient and truly at the heart of everything. At its core, the home is lovely and very comfortable, making it a great choice for a family getaway.A few notes for future renters (and perhaps suggestions for the owners): while the kitchen is stocked with cookware, items like cooking oil, non-stick spray, and aluminum foil are not provided. Not a deal-breaker by any means, but helpful to know when planning meals.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

The house was beautiful and the location to the beach and awesome Lake Michigan was excellent. We enjoyed spectacular beach days and wonderful evenings in the open common space of the house, while also enjoying views of The Lake from the balconies. Small hiccup with the air cond unit leaking on main floor throughout our stay. Fortunately the a/c was working, but we did have a constant leak into a plastic bin that required watching and emptying. The management was responsive to our needs (hair dryer, coffee pot), but was not able to get A/C unit repaired. Otherwise, the house was perfect in every way.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Gorgeous home, not a bad distance/walk to the beach. The beach was amazing, soft sand and very spacious. We were a bit disappointed with the lack of shower gel/soap, shampoo, conditioner and number of towels. For this price other rentals, specifically in Florida on the beach, have had that included. Did seem a bit pricey for the distance to the beach and the lack of a water view. The main living space and master were gorgeous and provided ample seating for our party of 11. The room for the kids was great too. The other two bedrooms which we used for adults were a bit cramped. The one in the basement was small and the one on the top floor the bed was pushed up against a slanted ceiling. The a/c system worked great and there are a ton of windows to open. Wish there was more outdoor seating or a firepit to accommodate our group in one space.

We had all our kids and their spouses join us for the week. The house is fantastic, and anytime we had a question the host was right on top of it.We like the property so much we are working to secure a date for next summer already.I couldn’t recommend this location more!
