Enjoy the comforts of home, more privacy than a hotel, at half the cost of hotels in Sitka! This is a cozy child friendly studio apartment, located near town. There is a full kitchen in the apartment, as well as a comfortably proportioned bathroom. We offer extra items you may need in a lending room that is located in the shared onsite laundry room. You may borrow and return items before your departure. Items include beach towels and blankets, cooler, bikes, carseat, high chair, etc.

Simple apartment. It had everything we needed. Convenient location next to Mountain Harbor brewery and close to the Historical Park Totem Trail and the Raptor center. We borrowed the bikes and rode up to some hiking trails.They have laundry facility too but it was the start if our 3 week trip so not needed yet. Candace was helpful. Overall our stay was good.

We enjoyed our stay, property was just what we needed...a place to sleep, shower and minimal cooking for a few days. Bed is against the wall on one side and squeaked when you rolled over, but that was the only downside to our stay. Overall we would give it an excellent rating.

The property is great for a Sitka stay. The location is really nice because it gets you off the main drag but is still plenty walkable to stuff in town via a pass-through at the National Park. Coffee is great, system is easy. Laundry is quick and convenient. Having a loner-can of bear spray is helpful and the bike rental system is nice if your ambitions extend beyond a mile-or-so walk into town.Food options include the brewery, a coffee stand and pizza express a minute or two away. More robust options can be found within a mile on a pretty pleasant walk.

The apartment was clean, comfortable, well maintained, and well appointed. The host was very responsive and super helpful. I strongly recommend this spot!

Sitka Base Camp

Super convenient location to go up or down island. We used car rental option and had three great extra days in Sitka. Nothing fancy but excellent welcome, communication and local insights.

Host and housekeeper were both very accommodating and helpful to get us acclimated to the area. Definitely, highly recommended!

Basic but comfortable

If you just need a clean comfortable room for a night and prefer somewhere quiet near the forest rather than in the centre of town this would be a good choice. It’s just a bed, kitchen and bathroom but there are laundry facilities on site.

Studio apartment was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is a very bright light across from the unit (L) on a storage facility that interrupted sleeping even with black out drapes. Laundry detergent was not provided.

Everything we needed for our Sitka stay. Just a short walk to two food trucks, a pizza place located inside a brewery, and a gas station convenience store. Easy walk to town through the Sitka National Historic Park; the trail wanders through lush temperate rainforest. If you are scent-sensitive, please note that a plugin air freshener is used in the apartment.

I really loved this rental! The neighbors were a little noisy at times, but that was no fault of the host. Some guests might find it a bit far from town, but I thought the location near the national park was perfect. The bed was very cozy, especially when relaxing with some TV after a long day. Also great food options just steps away and a convenience store.

The unit was neatly tucked between a brewery and storage shed. The floodlight of the storage shed shown through the only window’s curtains and was bright during Sitka’s dark hours. The unit was cozy and had most the comforts needed for our short stay and was conveniently located very near the Sitka National Park’s trail into town. Very nice!!

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

The properties at 1209 Sawmill Creek Road in Sitka, AK are pretty centrally located without being locked in the downtown bustle of the cruise ship tourism chaos. It is a peaceful location with wonderful brewery and pizza restaurant a stones throw away!
