Few places would ever afford you the opportunity to wake up to a view like this! This 1BR Cottage & 2APT combo overlooks Taunton Bay. You will have your own private beach next to the Sullivan Bridge. Sit on the deck and drink your morning coffee while watching the local lobster fishermen haul their traps. Enjoy the easy Route 1 access and take a 22 mile drive to Bar Harbor or Acadia National Park, 22 miles to Schoodic Point, 10 miles to Ellsworth, or 41 miles to Hollywood Casino in Bangor. This property is very unique & has a lot to offer for multiple families who want to vacation together.

Beautiful location! Great for group travel!

The view from the house is beautiful as are the tidal falls just across the bay. We had all of the beauty and benefits of ocean front property at an affordable price. The property is unique in that it’s a former bar/restaurant, so that added an element of interest, but also a great eating set up for a group with 8 kids as we had. If there were any downsides to it, it would be the noise from the nearby highway in the mornings. There are some noise machines provided, but I would recommend either earplugs or more noise machines if this would be an issue for you. Also, this is about 40 minutes from most attractions in Acadia, so if your main purpose is to visit the park, just plan for driving every day. This property was perfect for a trip with friends as we had one apartment and they had the other. We loved our time in Maine!

Cool place to stay

We had a wonderful stay! The views of f the Bay are beautiful! We were able to watch lobster boats and seals playing. The atmosphere is awesome and authentic. It’s like a maritime museum in itself. We could get to anything within 30 minutes. Lots of great restaurants and shops. If I had to give any criticism, the downstairs bedrooms are very small, the outside traffic is loud ( but sound machines are supplied and really do help) and it gets warm in the bedrooms even though ceiling fans are there. Overall, we highly recommend this property! It’s great for large family vacations. With separate apartments upstairs and downstairs and the cottage just outside, we were able to be together but separate. We loved our stay!
