We also love the area as there is so much to do all year round. The fire pit, with the natural boulders and lovely trees, sits up high at the back of the property, enhancing the views. It has been an absolute joy to not only host, but to appreciate the amazing experience that they had during an epic snow during the 2025 New Year weekend up on Beech Mountain! Guest shared their amazing pictures and videos! They were wonderful as guests!

We are delighted that you had such a wonderful time in the home, and welcome you to return. We believe you will find the extensive remodeling and redecorating that has taken place since your visit to be impressive.

Since your stay the home has undergone extensive remodeling and redecorating under new ownership, and they have take great care to provide regular maintenance as well. The gravel roads do provide excellent traction during the snowy season, and are common up on Beech Mountain where nearly half of homes are on gravel roads. We have been pleased that the town does provide regular grading and maintenance of these roads. The dust is limited by the frequent light rains on Beech Mountain with the exception of dry months. With the home sitting up high, the gravel dust has limited impact upon the home but we do provide covers for the deck furniture and grill.

Since your stay, the home has underdone an extensive remodeling and redecorating under new ownership, with new appliances, decor, linens, furniture, paint, roof, and so much more. The home now has central A/C as well.

Beech Mountain has many gravel roads, and the limited traffic and frequent rains result in minimal dust. Since the home sits up high and back up off the road, any dust that might be briefly generated from an occassional passing car is limited in impact. Our goal is that all our Guests have a 5 star experience and as Hosts we endearvor to exceed the expectations of all our Guests and are delighted that this has thus far been the experience of other Guests who rated the home as a 5 star experience. During and before Guest's stay, Host personally provided immediate and frequent information/assistance. Host provided mid-stay cleaning at no cost and no fee was charged for her dog during her stay. Our housekeeping staff provided luggage assistance at Guest request. Host delivered to her a coffee grinder because the Keurig was not of her preference. The fireplaces are turned off in the summer when temperatures require use of the air conditioning at times because outside temperatures can approach 80 degrees, and this was unfortunately disappointing to Guest who expressed that she had hoped to use the fireplace regardless of the fact that the time of her stay was mid-summer. Overall, Host believes that much effort was put forth to please this Guest in every manner, and Host was surprised by this review, because Host was fully engaged during Guest stay in an attempt to make Guest happy.

We are delighted that you had a wonderful time with friends. The fire pit has been a favorite of all our guests. We have tried to make the home both comfortable and appealing to guests, with a "cabin in the mountains" feel, and appreciate your kind comments and appreciate that you enjoyed these details.

Guest took wonderful care of the home, and we welcome his family back. The home is comfortable for up to 8 guests. The ski resort is very close as well as are local restaurants and Fred's mercantile.
