Love coming to Alpine a couple times a year, and this place was delightful. Charming unconventional layout in a quiet area, lovely outdoor seating. Its central location means it’s easy to walk all around town from it. Owner was responsive and made the check in process simple. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay!

We’ve stayed here a couple of times now and we enjoy it. The place is always kept up nice and it’s in a very convenient location. The host communicates effectively and is prompt at responding.

Quiet location with a nice, treed backyard and the front has a view of the golf course. 5 beds in 3 separate rooms, with a very large bathroom. Plenty of parking and less than a mile from the downtown area.

Amazing Property, Amazing Town

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, in Alpine. It is a wonderful place from where we can visit Big Bend State and National Parks. Excellent property and communication with our host made our stay memorable. We were with our full family (grand parents, parents, children) and we felt at home here.

West Texas getaway

Convenient location in Alpine with easy access to BBNP, the Davis Mountains and Marfa. Property was as described and shown in the VRBO online listing. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Stay at Prairie's Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at Prairie's Cottage and would definitely choose this guesthouse again. The location across the street from the park worked well for us. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We especially enjoyed the large widows with the "forest" view.

Home away from Home

We love to stay her to visit our son at SRSU. He plays football. So we make a lot of trips this way and this is our favorite place to stay.

Wonderful stay

Alpine is a charming town and a very safe neighborhood. Enjoyed the large park-like back yard. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer, more generous, accommodating host. Thanks Bob!

Golf and Big Bend Hiking

The property was excellent clean and had every convenience. It was close to the golf course and Big Bend National Park was an hour away We relaxed in the back yard with a fire and read and enjoyed the back yard The owner was an excellent host and showed us every courtesy I would come back again

Girls get away

The perfect location and comfort we needed. We enjoyed our home away from home . We loved seeing the deer on the golf course in the morning and the relaxing backyard in the evening. We will definitely return again

Memorable!!

My wife, son, and I took a mini vacation to West Texas to hike in the Davis Mountains and Big Bend National Park. We wanted to stay somewhat central to the two so we decided on Alpine and are so happy that we did. Mr. Stovell’s place was PERFECT for what we needed. We enjoyed our stay and made lasting memories. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area!

Relaxing Stay

Great property. Rental had everything we needed for our week long stay. Beds were comfortable. Spacious hot shower was welcome. Loved the indoor/outdoor feel of the living spaces… great for relaxing. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The host was friendly and available if needed. Well be back.
