Located just one mile from the shores of Hernando Beach, this gorgeous, new-build home is a sure bet for your coastal getaway. Serving as a fabulous home base, this property features a bright and sunny interior with wood flooring, vaulted ceilings, and new furnishings. Enjoy the coastal breeze on the large screened deck. Underneath the home, you will find a gas grill, outdoor kitchen, boat parking, outdoor shower, and a convenient fish cleaning station.

The sparkling kitchen is equipped with all you need to create your favorite meals, including a full suite of stainless steel appliances and a four-person island. After beach days, cozy up for movie night in the living area.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Spring Break- Family of 6

Fantastic property in great location. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Screened porch was perfect. Beds were extremely comfortable. Well stocked with all the essentials. We rented a golf cart from the Beach Shack and had a great time on the island.

Cajun Retreat

This property was great during our recent stay on Dauphin Island! It was clean and well maintained. We loved that the property had an air fryer for our leftovers! Only recommendation would be to bring your own toilet paper :)

Best little arbnb

What a great stay

We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful island home. The home is clean, cool and had everything we needed to for our short trip. We highly recommend this home and we will definitely book this Island home again.

2nd stay

We rented here a second time becuase we loved it so much when we here last year. We love the covered porch area. The beds are comfortable and home is close to the public beach. Great place to stay and plenty room for a family.

Great house-great time!

The house was so adorable and clean! Perfect layout for me, my mother and my daughter and her friend. The girls had the upstairs to themselves as teenagers tend to enjoy 😉The beds were comfortable and the outdoor deck/screened in porch was wonderful. And having the large driveway provided extra space for outdoor games.

Vacation dreams

This home is perfect!! Nice bedrooms. Kitchen is stocked with anything you could need. And located in the middle of the island give a bit more privacy, and makes for the perfect centrally located spot on the island.

Nice home in a nice location

The house was just right for our group. It had nice sleeping arrangements for a family of 5 (including 3 adult children). The kitchen appliances are very nice (we fixed most meals in the house) and we really came to appreciate the location as we drove around the island.

Dauphin Island Getaway

It's a lovely house. We are old...80+, would like reading lights by the beds, reading lights in the living room, a chair in the bedrooms to use while putting on shoes. The BBQ Grill was as old as we are.

The sweetest coastal getaway!

Alabama aquarium, some AMAZING island food, and a movie night on the beach. 🌙🎥🌊 I can honestly not believe that I have never been here before or at the very least have never heard more about this place! Daulphin Island far exceeded all of my expectations. This quiet little island town has the most friendly people, the cutest coastal atmosphere, and BY FAR some of the most delicious food I’ve ever eaten! Cheeseburger pizza, yup it’s delicious! This place is definitely the perfect family getaway spot. The screened in porch wa a perfect for coffee early in the morning and relaxing in the evening. Close to everything it didn’t even feel like we had to drive to the beach! Fantastic house that felt just like home for our family! Can’t wait to return!

Mostly good

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The only issuse we had were one night the alarm went off and the code was unable to reset it. Also, if you are traveling with a dog there are lots of ticks on the island.(not the property owners fault). All in all the stay was a success. The home is centrally located on the island so it was walking distant to the local store, bakery,etc. I will definitely stay again

Cute Place to stay

This is cute home to rent and has everything you need. BUT we had termites everywhere and found out it was mating season at the time of the year we came. They were crawling all in the house especially upstairs and in our things, in the beds upstairs causing us to leave a day early. When we asked for help from the realty in charge they said turn lights off. It was horrible and when we turned an outside light off they came in a mad rush under the door. Not just a few but lots. Like I said the house was cute but the people taking care of it should do better when guest are having this kind of issue. We had friends staying in a different house on the island and they did not have the termite troubles we did. Pretty gross!

Gorgeous Home on a Hidden Gem

This was the possibly the cleanest and best equipped rental home I have stayed in, with clean and comfortable accommodations and a wonderful beach home aesthetic. The covered porch was perfect for relaxing rain or shine without winged insects bothering us, and the location is central to the whole island. We absolutely loved our stay; worst complaint about the home I could have is the sheets being a little scratchy. However, in our short stay a few issues with the maintenance caused unneeded hassle that prevents the review from being perfect. The wifi password and network name was wrong, the drain in the downstairs bath was very slow and had to be unclogged, etc. The management was mostly extremely responsive taking care of the problems (a positive in our book) but bad luck or otherwise it took many calls to get the drain unplugged and it took a few days to get it taken care of. Once we got it sorted everything was perfect, but just a straggling annoyance on a short trip that I can't not bring up.

Cajun Retreat

We traveled to Dauphin Island to visit our daughter and her family. This house was perfect for us. It was only a few blocks from her home. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and lots of games for entertainment on rainy days. Its location was perfect for watching the Mardi Gras Parade. The only thing missing from this house was a hairdryer, but our daughter had a spare. Our group enjoyed spending time on the porch. There are numerous places that are walkable from the Cajun Retreat - Lighthouse Bakery, Sea lab, Bird Sanctuary, Dinner's Ready, and just to name a few. We hope to return to the Cajun Retreat again.

The perfect place to stay

We loved the house! The screened in porch, perfectly painted kitchen that was stocked with everything you need, the open floor plan and large rooms. The location made it easy to walk anywhere we wanted to go. Hope to visit again soon!

Great vacation home!

This house was so perfect for our family! Plenty of space, indoor and outdoor! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Very well stocked for towels and extra linens as well. The house is in a great location. Short drives to the beach, and I love that parking passes for the beach we’re included. The description of the house does need to be updated though. It states 3 1/2 bath, but there is only 2 1/2. Not a big deal, just misleading. Would definitely rent here again if we come back to Dauphin Island!

Very nice vacation!

The Cajun Retreat was a great mix of beach and camping vibes. The home sits right off the main road that goes thru Dauphin Island. Trees surround the home and offer a sense of wilderness with beach access within miles from the home. Recommend renting a golf cart to cruise to the beaches, dinner, shop, and to tour the island.
