This is the ultimate beach house. With two upper decks for lounging and the beach just a short walk away, this is sure to be a prime location for beach lovers.
The living room is decorated with warm, sandy tones and pops of color, making it inviting and mimicking the sandy coastline outside. Enjoy relaxing in the living room while reading a good book or watching a favorite movie on the flat screen TV. When everyone gets hungry, take advantage of the kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a bar island for prep. Or, enjoy dining out at a local restaurant. This home also has a washer/dryer for your convenience, so there’s no need to take sandy clothes home with you.

At night, take your pick of the four bedrooms to get a restful night’s sleep. The primary bedroom features private access to the back deck and an ensuite bathroom with a standalone shower and bathtub.

Great locationand access to beaches!!!!But...Not handicap accessible even though pictures show a lift. Vacasa had quick response but owner poor response back to them on lift access. Our family could not climb stairs and we were embarrassed on not being to entertain him in the comfort of the house. We stayed in the breezeway the entire time while waiting for owner response. Would not have booked this property if it was listed as not handicap accessible.Many pots, pans, cutlery and dishes left with food debris when we went to use them. Deck chairs not comfortable or easy to get out of. Looks like this had been mentioned on previous reviews. Many of the chairs with missing screws or arm rests lifted. No outdoor tables for entertainment.Outdoor lights breaker was tripped when we arrived and it took long time to find appropriate breaker box. It is located in pantry if you happen to arrive at night and no lights. Missing the reuseable coffee filter basket for Ninja coffee maker.Drawers in kitchen will pull completely out. Not sure if they are broken, but will likely end up if you are not careful.2nd master shower had a makeshift repair done which didnt stand up and showr flooring cracked. We did let Vacasa know this.Once again, this was a great location, but dont bother if you have handicap family.

Water leak

Upon arrival, we discovered there had been a water leak. There were soft spots on the floor between the kitchen counter with sink and the refrigerator. Also another soft spot on the floor entering the laundry room. The soft spots were from the water leak. We contacted Vacasa to complain and submitted images. They had someone locally managing property in the area contact us who stated yes there was a water leak, but it’s not a problem. This individual told us the house is structurally sound. I told him there are soft spots in the floor and I expected someone to contact me about that. This same individual was not responsible for our location and said he would have someone contact us. I never received another phone call. There was a box of additional LVP flooring in the laundry room and one box in a closet. We had to place two planks covering the spot spot in the kitchen and cardboard over the spot entering the laundry room to ensure no one’s leg went through the soft spots in the floor. Someone from Vacasa could have at least offered late check out at no cost. The very least that could’ve been done is someone informing us before we arrived.

Great home and location

Really great location. Very friendly neighbors. Bayside beach out back is wonderful and not a far walk to get to gulf side beach. Management was very responsive when we needed to alert them of an issue. Would happily stay there again!

Beach house on the Bay

The beach house was absolutely beautiful — truly a hidden gem! It had all the essentials we needed, including a toaster oven, crockpot, and blender. Each bathroom was thoughtfully stocked with a hair dryer, and there were plenty of towels provided. My family especially loved having access to both the bay side and the beach toys, grill, and cornhole board. It made our stay even more fun and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Family/Friend beach trip.

We have been battling cancer with our youngest daughter for over a year. She is in remission and doing great. We wanted to do something together as a family and take our oldest daughter for a beach trip, that’s all she asked for when asked to give her “blood”. She was her sisters bone marrow transplant donor. Our youngest was not able to go just yet with so much sun. But this house and beach access was exactly what we needed. We would love to do it again next year when our youngest can get out and about again. Beautiful and clean house! The lift did not work, which would be our only want for bags. But the stairs were good for some much needed exercise 😂 will definitely try and go back.

Coulda been great ...

If you see all the previous posts, some from two years ago, the same issues persist. The location of this fairly new home is perfection - we enjoy the sound over gulf front and this is right on the sound with a little path to the shore. However, so many things are in disrepair. From previous posts, most of the TP holders and towel bars have fallen off and walls are damaged. Cabinet drawers are broken. Lacking things like WINE OPENER(this is a beach vacation) and other essentials. There is a lack of chairs and outdoor furniture. Bed linens are slim. Most importantly, the window blinds in 3 of the 4 bedrooms have fallen off and are put into the closets - so everyone one the road, the neighbors, and the shore can see right into your bedroom. Really, this is a cute house in a wonderful location. They need to put a day's work into maintenance and it would be 5 stars. We are all paying more for these rentals now plus HUGE fees - the owners and managers need to deliver better.

Perfect Location

We have stayed at this beautiful beach house twice. It is tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Cleanliness is important to us and this place definitely meets expectations. We love the quiet bay with the option of walking across the street to the gulf side beach. The views are gorgeous. We would stay here again, we miss it already.

Beautiful house, perfect location

The photos don’t do this home justice! I have always been on the ocean side of the island and was a bit hesitant to stay on the bayside. However, it was absolutely perfect for a getaway with my two dogs. It was very quiet and had plenty of space for my dogs to walk around and smell. The best part of the house is the view. When sitting in the kitchen, you can look left and see the ocean and right, the bay. The kitchen was well appointed as I enjoy cooking, and do so for the full week. There wasn’t a pan or utensil I was lacking. If you are considering this property, stop thinking and book it!

Lovely, peaceful, private

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved the bayside access from the home. It was like having a private beach to walk on throughout the day. And the waves are just across the road (if waves are what you want). The house itself was open, bright, and beautiful. I enjoyed my stay immensely!

Overall good stay!

Overall happy. There are several minimal repairs that would not be hard to fix that needs to be addressed.. the toilet paper holders have fell off in two of the three bathrooms. One drawer in the kitchen and one in the guest bathroom are broken not just off tracks but broken and very aggravating to use. The house is not very elderly friendly. As most beach houses, there are two flights of steep stairs. There is an elevator that would be nice to use but it is private use only. The front door hinges were loose and very hard for our children and elderly parents to open. Needs a bigger dinner table. Also needs better deck seating. Having a hot water shower downstairs was a major plus. It was also great that the parking area was paved. It gave a great place for the kids to play and cook out, etc. We have never rented bayside and was worried about accessing the beach but quickly realized that the bay side private beach area was a major plus with young children! Especially when there were yellow & red flags. Overall, we were happy and would come back. We were very pleased with our fellow beach side renters who allowed us to set up beside them daily. If there were better seating arrangements in and outside I would rate 5 stars!

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly GOOD…. The location of this property is its best feature. You basically have your own private beach. We had the occasional neighbor who walked by and there were several boats fishing early in the morning or in the late afternoon. My suggestion would be to bring floats and some rope to anchor them to the shore and float the day away. If you want to be on the Gulf-front it is directly across the street. There was a parking pass in the house, but those spots filled up pretty early in the morning. Paid public parking is a short drive from the house. The main master was very spacious and the mattress got high reviews. The other bedrooms were adequate for a beach vacation. The mattresses were not the same quality as the master bedroom but were sufficient. The pantry was very large and we didn’t have to fight to find places to store food for the week. The washer and dryer were used throughout the week and we didn’t have any problems. There were plenty of dish towels and bath towels to use. The parking for 2 cars was great. BAD……. The house has no address marked on it and was a little tricky to find not only by us, but Amazon and the local pizza delivery. The ice machine in the freezer never made a full bin of ice the whole time we were there. You will definitely want to grab ice before you get there. The house says that it sleeps 10 comfortably, but the kitchen nor the rest of the house is set-up for 10 people. There were only 3 coffee cups and 7 glasses to use so we constantly had to wash cups. There are 10 very fragile wine glasses, but not sure those would be safe to give to a child. There are 4 bars stools at the counter and a square table with 4 chairs…so not comfortable for 10 to dine together. The seating near the tv will not comfortably seat 10 people either. Outside seating was slim to none. There is an area outside where the grill is located and would have been a perfect spot to enjoy the food you cooked, but there isn’t a table or chairs. On the deck upstairs there were only a few chairs to start with and several were broken. There were two small table and one was broken. The stairs are quite steep and there should be a gate at the top. This is a safety issue for small children. There was also no way to keep dogs from running down the stairs. UGLY…… This house was listed as having an elevator. There was an elevator but it didn’t work. The listing has now been updated and the amenity of the elevator has been removed. It was listed under parking/ access and safety/accessibility. There was no effort on the part of the rental company to inform those who rented before this removed. When you get to the house there is nothing on the elevator telling you not to use it. We booked this home because of the elevator. There was no attempt from the company to resolve the issue. Not all of the beds have mattress pads on them. There are items in the kitchen that won’t last long because that did not buy quality. The two bathrooms that are not in the main master need better shower curtains and rugs. The shower curtain in one of the bathroom didn’t even have all of the rings and only one had a liner. The rugs are not replaced or cleaned in between stays and were wet. As another review stated the towel bar and toilet paper holder are not properly attached to the walls. Someone made an attempt to put them back, but they continued to fall off the walls. The rental company was also told in another review that there was patio furniture that was broken. There was no attempt to fix the cha...

Loved the house!

We loved the house! It was the perfect set up for our family. We loved the location as well. There were 2 towel bars that need to be fixed. The toilet paper holders in 2 bathrooms are lopsided. Nothing that really bothered our stay. Our only suggestions are maybe a small vacuum to get the sand off the floors and rug. And a gate at the top of the back stairs to keep babies and pets contained. The master bedroom shower could use a shelf to put shampoo, soap, etc. Just small details that we noted. It's a great house though!

Great Bayside home

The house is beautiful, large enough for all 9 of us and tons of blankets! A stand alone ice maker would be a great addition! The pantry was huge and washer and dryer did amazing! Short walk to beach access across the street!

Family Time in Dauphin Island 2022

Our family enjoyed our stay in Dauphin Island. The house layout was great for our family. The beds were soft, there were plenty of towels, best of both worlds (great bay view and just across the street from the ocean), open concept, functional kitchen, nicely designed laundry and large pantry combo in kitchen, 2 miles to Dauphin Island main hub, etc. There are a few things to consider: 1. The listing says elevator (more of a lift). We used it at check in to lift luggage to main floor which was awesome. It later didn't work for groceries. I communicated so the property knew there was an issue. After some communication, we were told the elevator wasn't for renters use. No big deal, we understand liability but listing shouldn't say "elevator". It does have one but you aren't allowed to use it. 2. Some Deck furniture was broken. The house was new so I'm sure there was some price cutting that needed to happen with the higher prices. 3. Some fixtures had fallen off. Towel holders and toilet paper racks were attached with small screws into the drywall so several had fallen out. It appeared a novice contractor or owner's DIY to save money. We still give this house a 5 Star and we enjoyed our time. It's a brand new home with great views that needs some minor finishing touches (a few drywall screws, remove "elevator" which is misleading and get more commercial deck furniture.

Quiet weekend away

A relatively last minute trip left us with only a few options, but this house and the property management team were fantastic. We arrived late on a Thursday and noted that the WiFi wasn't working. The property management said they would come take a look the next day. Lo and behold, the house was so new that the router had not yet been installed but they got a crew out that same day and we had Internet just after lunch on Friday. Our dogs loved the deck and all of the rooms are incredibly spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets. My only recommendation is for there to be more rugs and curtains. Sounds travels really easily through the house and early risers disturbed the sleepers-in just walking through the house. I highly recommend the property and location. It was perfect for a quick weekend away.

Beautiful property, excellent location but…

The dwelling was fabulous and new. All the basics were all there. Now the construction debris was a hazard and the management was not really concerned. after 2 calls and no return call, finally the actual property caretaker was reached and gave just enough effort for concern. On the construction debris was multiple pounds of loose nails, screw and metal cuttings in the sand . The caretaker did attempt to remove the obvious and left a rolling magnet for our future use. In which we removed more multiple pounds of this debris in the sand in and around the dwelling. The private beach was nice , as long as you did not adventure into the water , where multiple mounds of concrete laid below the surface. Overall, this is easily fixable but will call for extreme concern from management to protect their guest from nuisance negligence in safety. I do recommend for all to experience the beauty of this property , just to be aware of the hidden dangers. - Best Regards
