We have lived on Buffalo Mountain for over 30 years. It was affectionally named Billy Goat Mountain in the past due to the extremely large herd of billy goats that populated the mountain stopping traffic and causing traffic to slow down just to get a look a them. Our girls thought that they owned them as pets especially since the goats would venture into the yard and eat the landscaping...we let them think that because they often provided entertainment for them. After many years, the goats have died off but the memory of the goats lives on here on the mountain. We love to ride the trails and look forward to hunting season every year.

Buffalo Mountain Trailhead provides direct access to the most historic trail system in southern WV! It offers the most single track trails for ATVs and Dirt Bikes. From this trailhead that is next to us, you have access to the four towns of Matewan, Delbarton, Gilbert and Williamson. Each of these towns offer gas, restaurants and more.

Fire Pits, Corn Hole, Vintage Arcade, Giant Jenga...lots of other fun games. We also provide the first batch of fire wood free and a Smores Kit to enjoy by the campfire. We also have a photographer who can take your groups picture in true Hatfield-McCoy style complete with moonshine jugs, hats, beards etc. to preserve your Appalachian experience! Feudin', Four Wheelin' and Fun! Our goal is to cater to every need or want and make your vacation a memorable one. Trail riders love the close proximity to the trailhead and we live right next door to our cabins so we are always available to assist you during your stay.
