Location is everything! Steps away from the beautiful Crystal River to start your adventure of floating, tubing or kayaking. Only 3 miles away from Hartman's Creek State park for swimming, hiking and biking. Or if you'd rather, just minutes away from the Beautiful 22 spring fed lakes famously known as the Chain o' Lakes. Great restaurants and shops! Take a paddle boat tour, rent a boat or bring your own! We have plenty of room for trailer parking.
Truly a gem for your next get-away. Crystal River views galore with the added bonus of the relaxing sounds of the waterfall from any room! Your own private frontage right across the street.
Cozy 3 bedroom 2 bathroom restored home complete with master spa bathroom and reclaimed wood floor from the 1850's!
Enjoy the river sounds from the sprawling back yard with a fire pit great for star gazing. Have a cup of coffee and watch the river go by from the rocking chairs on the front porch, and make family memories from the amazing screened porch.
As soon as you arrive you will know why the original settlers chose this location to start a village back in the 1850's. Stroll the quiet streets to admire the other historical buildings, or bike for miles on the Rustic Roads.

We had a great stay. This was a wonderful property for our family vacation. The screen porch was a plus as was the lawn area across the road by the river. A garage is an extra and great for storing things like strollers. Our family has history in Rural so this was a meaningful stay.

The house was on the smaller side but cute and clean. Two full baths was a plus. The screened in porch was a big bonus for expanding the living area. Outside of home is in need of some TLC. Very nice lot across the street had river access with table and chairs. A solid 4 out of 5 stars. I would go back again.

Quiet spot with very little traffic, yet close enough to enjoy all the Chain O' Lakes has to offer. Just sitting on the porch was relaxing

Nice home in rural quiet setting

Our family enjoyed staying in this lovely old home. Very comfortable and great location for getting to all the area has to offer.

Pet friendly is very important to bring my little dogs with us. Fresh flowers on coffee table I really liked that. Also the orchid. The Picturesque little town of Rural is beautiful. Crystal river access for kayaks is close across the street at portage area. The table by the river is a nice touch. The firepit area , grill and outside dining is good. The screened porch was awesome. Felt like home. Supplies were a plenty in cabinets. Towels are soft, beds were comfy, it was quiet. Garage had room for kayaks, bikes and mobility scooter. Went for walks everyday. Close to town and restaurants. The only problem we had was both bathrooms were downstairs so if you have anyone that can’t do stairs they need to sleep on sleeper couch. Needs new mattress on that for sure. I would recommend this home for a pleasant relaxing stay

Hyatt House

We had a wonderful time in this charming home across from the Crystal River. We were 4 adults and 4 children, and we were very comfortable. We look forward to staying here again.

Quaint, historic and relaxing!

My family enjoyed a wonderful stay at this gem in Rural. We loved playing and floating in the Crystal River, biking to the Red Mill, biking around Rural and endless hours reading on both of the immaculate porches. We loved our stay and can’t wait to stay again.

Family stay in Waupaca

We enjoyed our stay in the Waupaca area in the historic district of Rural. It is a nice quiet neighborhood in which you can enjoy privacy. Thank you for hosting us, it was a great setting!!

Great spot in a quiet neighborhood

We had a nice time at this lovely quiet property. The big screened in patio was a great spot to gather at the end of the day and play games or share meals. Close to the chain o lakes!

Excellent place to stay in historic area

Rented for family reunion. Very clean, recently renovated. Nice touches everywhere. Enjoyed spacious screened porch for dining and grill for food preparation and fire ring for after dinner s’mores with kids. Would highly recommend and plan to stay again in future

Family vacation

It’s a very nice house plenty of room for a family of seven. A nice two car garage which you can use close to the chain of lakes plenty a room in the backyard for games and a nice fire pit and all the restaurants that we ate at had good food.

Great place for a relaxing getaway!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is beautifully decorated and it is in the most charming area for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the front porch and the screen porch. My boys spent most of their time exploring the river across the street. We also enjoyed kayaking the Crystal River. We would love to come back again!

Loved it!

Only stayed one night but we all wished we had more time to enjoy tubing and kayaking on the river. Great location with public access to the river only steps away from the house but far enough too that we still had privacy. Loved the screened in porch and sound of the small waterfall that was just across the road.

Good Place

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. Quant, small historic village. House is on creek. Nicely remodeled. Big screened porch for sitting and eating. Great backyard with big grill and firepit.

Rural house Waupaca

Lovely property, beautifully decorated - very inviting. We really enjoyed the screened in porch and fireplace on cool nights. Loved the Spa shower and jetted bath - very relaxing. The location is perfect for kayaking - we enjoyed kayaking the upper chain and then 1 mile of the Crystal river ending right at the Hyatt House. Nice neighborhood for walking.

Girls weekend

Absolutely darling cottage in historic Rural. Everything was beautiful. We enjoyed morning coffee, dinner, drinks and lots of laughs on the screened in porch. Spent some time down at the river and lots of walks around the quiet neighborhood. The perfect nest for our reunion of 6.
