We enjoyed our long weekend in Kingston for a festival at Hutton Brickyard. Bedrooms worked well for our small group and it was an easy walk into historic Kingston and waterfront. Thanks for having us.

Such a cozy place to stay with great communication with the hosts. Seamless check in and checkout. The property was clean and had everything we needed. It really felt like a cozy home rather than a weekend rental. Shops nearby, quiet neighborhood , and easy parking. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for everything!

Good location, but oversold and not suitable for older guestsWe stayed here this week with my parents, who are in their 80s. The listing describes the place as cozy, but in reality it felt more shabby than chic and question the value for money. The biggest concern was safety. The staircase isn't shown in the listing photos, so we weren't aware until we arrived that the bottom section has no banister or rail. There's nothing to hold on to, and the wooden stairs are very slippery. On top of that, the two-way light switches didn't work reliably: depending on how the switch was left, you often couldn't turn the light on from upstairs and had to make your way down in the dark to the switch at the bottom. Watching my 80-something parents tackle those stairs each day was genuinely worrying. For elderly guests or young families, this is a serious concern and should have been clearly highlighted in the listing.The shower tap was also very sensitive, so finding the right position for a comfortable temperature was a real challenge, and it was easy to end up too hot or too cold. The two bedrooms are joined by a Jack and Jill door, so noise carries straight through and nobody could get up without waking everyone else. Add in a very creaky building, mismatched mix of furniture and the overall feel was rustic in a way that tipped into tiredOn the plus side, the location is excellent. It's a great base for exploring the area: Woodstock and Rhinebeck are easy trips out.

House is beautiful!! Communication was great! Only thing negative to say and it is no fault of anyone, the yard was difficult for my senior dog to access, steep basement steps made it impossible for her to navigate. Other then that we had an amazing time!

We had a wonderful time in this charming home! Kitchen is well equipped, living room is very comfortable with a huge tv that we had fun watching at night! Outdoor space in back is peaceful. Bedrooms are comfortable and bathroom is clean. Host is very responsive, helpful and kind. Great place to stay.

My friend and I truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It was very cleaned. Great location for visiting the region. The owner very responsive to any questions or concerns that we had. Just one heads up if you have mobility issues. This is an older home. The stairs to the 2nd floor are fairly steep and there is no hand rail for the first 4 or 5 stairs going up from the main level. The bathroom is on the 2nd floor. Same with the stairs to the basement to get to the backyard and patio - they are a bit steep. Otherwise, I think this is a great home to stay at when visiting the Hudson River region. I would stay here again.

This was a perfect location, in the Rondout neighborhood. The house is cozy, charming and so comfortable. We could walk to our friend's house, to restaurants and the nearby shops. Hopped in the car to head out to apple picking and a great dinner at Chleo uptown. Rebecca and Steven are warm and welcoming, and were very quick to my questions. Can't wait to book my next stay there!

Not the greatest place to stay if you bring an older adult. The lower half of the staircase does not have a railing. Sofas are difficult to sit in and get out of. Also be prepared for the quirks that sometimes come with an old home...radiator heat (that didn't work the first night we were there), window AC units, ants in the kitchen, gaps in windows with plants growing through them (might be how the hornet got in), bathroom fan that sounded like it might fall through the ceiling and several light switches that seemingly didn't turn on any lights. Location was convenient, walking distance to coffee shops and good restaurants and owner was responsive but this stay was not a good fit for us.

Great location

The house was situated within walking distance of the waterfront with all it's restaurants and cool shops. We had a fabulous time there. And it's a super short drive to the Historic Stockade area as well. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed, though we didn't spend a lot of time there.

Easy to get around

The Rondout is a great area to be in. Easy to get to a bunch of other places in the Hudson Valley, being right near the water was great, the restaurants and coffee and everything else is fantastic. Very easy to get to, quiet neighborhood, and very nice house, everything was laid out super nicely and we really enjoyed our time

Cute 2-level house

Stayed here in late December. The property was very inviting; nice large TV and cozy couches for relaxing to watch movies in the evening. A nice plus was the large kitchen. This property was in a convenient location in Kingston. Would recommend if you are getting away to the Hudson Valley area.

Perfect home with incredibly accommodating hosts

We booked this home for three nights the day before we arrived and the hosts were nothing but accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure we had a crib, high chair, and baby gate for the stairs. The home was clean, very well stocked with items you may need for your stay, and in walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Cute, convenient, clean cottage

My friend and I rented this cottage for our trip to the New York Sheep and Wool Festival. It was exactly as described and photographed! The cottage is a quick walk to restaurants and a yarn and wine bar. We spent most of our time out of the house, but it was a great home base for our yarn-y adventures. Delightful!
