Loved everything about this place. It was cozy and comfortable. Had everything you would need and then some. We were in the area for our son's wedding, it was absolutely perfect I can't wait for a return visit.

Quick lake vacation

The property was just as advertised. We loved the location and the amenities. Our girls loved the kayaks. We would definitely come back as we had a great time.

Cute cottage on Witmer lake.

We enjoyed our stay in this newly renovated 2 BR cottage. Additional plus was the pontoon boat that we could rent and cruise the Witmer and joining lake.

Nice getaway for us with gas grill and charcoal - wood fire pit that you can grill with. Right on the lake and plenty of paking.

We needed more kleenex& the air conditioner was very loud. Also, the tub/shower needs a gripping mat,it was very slick. We had to buy a mat to be safe.

We work really hard for every guest that we have , and our reviews show it , I’m sorry we came across someone like you, the furniture was totally rearranged , food scapes were thrown out in the yard , all bedding was shoved on top of toilet when you left , you messed up the thermostat and I could go on and on , oh also you had more people then you booked it for I could honestly say you were our worst guest ever and you leave a bad review for us WOW , I should of gave you the review you deserved but gave you the benefit that you were just absent minded when it came to cleanliness I originally gave you a 1 star because that what you earned but changed it to a 3 because I felt guilty giving you what you deserved I hope you find happiness like all our other guest have had at our place and not be a negative person in the world, sorry this post is long it’s just very frustrating when we go above and beyond for our guest and then get this with NO communication from you at all

Smaller but perfect size for myself, husband and daughter. Bedrooms were much roomier than most rentals we've stayed at, with very comfy beds with luxury bedding. The place was immaculate upon our arrival. Even had a bottle of wine and chocolates awaiting us. I enjoyed the wine, while the hubby ate all the chocolates! The pontoon rental availability was a definite plus for us and much more affordable than others we have rented. A little different for us being on a channel, when we've always been on the open lake, but got use to it quickly and were happily surprised to find we were able to catch some fish there as well. We were very happy to find someplace rather last minute that allowed us to bring our paralyzed cat that requires specialized care.

Cute small cottage on Lake Witmer!

The cottage was clean and nice. Easy access to parking, entry and good space for a small group to stay. The host was friendly and helpful. Easy to communicate and responsive. The additional pontoon rental availability was great! The lake was beautiful. It met our needs perfectly!

Perfect Mother's Day/Birthday weekend

This property is cozy, cute and clean! Everything was as advertised. Very well stocked kitchen! We had a fun weekend fishing, kayaking, playing games and having a bonfire. Great communication with host! I recommend this property for a quiet, relaxing stay.

Peaceful and relaxing!

My family and I stayed here on a trip to Shipshewana, which was a short and easy ride from the house. The house was everything it was supposed to be and more. Very clean, peaceful and relaxing. The owner was very helpful in answering our questions and we were even able to get some firewood delivered. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay again. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Perfect mix of relaxation and fun

Our family stayed for 4 nights. The kids enjoyed kayaking, paddle boating, swimming and fishing right off the dock. We brought our boat and enjoyed cruising, tubing and fishing out on the lakes but watch out for that low bridge to get to the neighboring lakes. Lol.

Warm and inviting little cottage

Cottage was exceptionally clean and inviting. We had a wonderful stay. I would suggest, if you like cozy/softer beds, to bring your own mattress topper. The mattresses are a little dated/firm. The neighbors were pleasantly friendly. If you enjoy waking early, you can sit out on the patio and watch the neighbor roll his yard with a large riding “steamroller” machine. Nice location on the water. Enjoyed watching the ducks swim around.

nice cottage but could use more hooks in small bathroom. lamp by couch has bad plug, bent. Bed in master is way too high, they had to use ladder to get onto bed. dangerous for seniors. could have used more bath towels.

Sorry you feel this way about our cottage , we striver to please and make your stay comfortable, we do leave our contact number there for you to call with any issues , we have had ton complaints at all on any of the issues you are talking about, , we will look into all that you have complained about and do what’s necessary to resolve the issue , just wish you would’ve contacted us first before giving a review like this, I believe communication works best

Very cute and clean house on the canal to a lovely lake. The host was great - very communicative and easy to work with. The neighbors were very friendly and even helped us with the boat in a pinch. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, feel right at home when you walk in cozy cottage. Our 2 week stay was Amazing! We brought our boat and docked it right outside the cottage. You were on a sports lake in a matter of seconds. The neighbors were super friendly! Great communication from our host! AC was great! It was hot some days. We were able to bring our dog. She loved it too! We fished right outside on the pier. Plenty of room for parking. We would recommend the chili nachos from Coody Browns, mozzarella sticks from Backroads Tavern, pizza from Pepperoni's and Cowlick's ice cream. We would love to come for an extendedstay again! Thanks Don! We appreciate the memories!

Peaceful and clean

Such a peaceful and beautiful place. Great neighbors. Great fishing. I enjoyed the fire pit while my husband caught fish right off the front yard! Our dog was welcome and that is such a bonus. The Hosts are very accommodating too. Can’t wait to come back.

As advertised and just what we were looking for!

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The property is clean and very well maintained. The lake is peaceful and relaxing. The hosts are easy to reach and very accommodating. Looking forward to staying here again!

A Wonderful Retreat

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at the cottage. It was so quiet there, the lake was beautiful and we were lucky to have great weather for our trip. The cottage was clean and we had everything we needed to be comfortable. The communication with the owners was excellent and it was so fun to have the opportunity to rent the pontoon! By the end of our stay, the family didn't want to leave and are likely going to beg me to re-book next year. Warning to next family who stays there: Beware of the duck next door-he'll chase and nip ya! lol :)
