The home is located in the Taos Historic District – under ½ mile to the Taos Plaza and the great restaurants and galleries in Taos. This home features – after a cautious renovation - all the cherished and charming details you look for in a traditional New Mexico Adobe style home:
· Stone floors with radiant heat for cozy warmth after the days on the slopes
· 3 Kiva Fireplaces – 1 operational with a gas insert - others add to the unique style
· 1 new fully automatic iron stove that supports the radiant floor heat
· Stone floors with radiant heat for cozy warmth after the days on the slopes
· Ceiling fans for the warmer days of summer
· In June to September - window A/C units in the 2 main bedrooms for cool and
refreshing sleep
· Copper countertops in the traditional real wood kitchen
· beamed Ceilings with Vigas in the Living room and the kitchen
· arched Doorways and skylights to make it sun-flooded and light
· walled front courtyard with HotTub and garden furniture to enjoy mountain views

Obviously the house has all the amenities you are looking for – dishwasher, refrigerator, manual Espresso machine (for all the coffee aficionados), Smart TV with local channels and ability to use all your streaming accounts. We also provide frontloader washer/dryers for your cleaning needs.

The house sleeps 4-6 people (2 bedrooms and a Den with a Full Sleeper Sofa) comfortably, with a Master / Master bathroom and a shared 2nd bathroom.
· Simple maintenance due to Natural Gas and all Town Utilities
(no septic system or well to worry about)
· 2-3 designated Parking Spaces

2 cameras protect the exterior of the property:
- Camera1: Front Door - no view of patio
- Camera2: Rear entrance doors

Please note - the home has steps between living room and kitchen and bedroom, office/bedroom and flagstone floors are not level (might be challenging for guests with walking problems).

Host was great communicator - prior to arrival and during our stay. Had answers to all our questions. Reasonable business person. Home was clean, well stocked with dishes and utensils. Location is great - off the busy roads, but very accessible. Quiet neighborhood. Nice Floorplan - plenty of room inside and out. Comfortable beds and furniture. No surprises! Really enjoyed our stay!

This vacation rental offers itself as a traditional taste of the area. From the flagstone floors to thick abode walls. Both indoor and out there are plenty of comfortable nooks to settle in for reading or visiting or resting.

This home was convieniently located for our purposes. I had not been to Taos in many years and this home was nicely located within easy walking distance to the plaza square. We visited areas all around Taos, Angel Fire, Red River, Taos ski are etc. The host is very communicative and helpful. We did have small problems with keeping the home cool but it wasn't all that bad and we had drainage problems in the lower shower. The house is very unique with wonderful art all over.

We stayed in Taos for a wedding and this home was perfect for the weekend. It was very accommodating and had everything we needed to feel at home. The house was well managed with clear instructions. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful interior and the property manager is a gem. The ice maker is a nice extra. The natural light is so amazing. Our only negative was that it was difficult to keep cool (late July). Also, the extra room with the sofa bed had no a/c and would not cool off enough to sleep in.

Such a cute and cozy adobe! We loved the layout, the beam ceilings, the extra space heaters for the bunk room really came in handy. We would certainly chose this location again, and the property manager checked in with us often to be sure we were able to access, comfortable, and then jumped right on a tiny maintenance problem. It was fantastic!

This is a fun house that is well situated and near main part of Taos. The property manager was very helpful and we had a great time.

Great Place to Stay in Taos

We four active Seniors stayed here in early November. The location was perfect- within walking distance of the Plaza, but away from tourist areas so that it felt like a real neighborhood. The house is in the typical Taos style with a small enclosed yard/patio which was great for our dog.

This was our second trip to this location in Taos. Comfortable, cozy and clean. Wonderful residence. Ms. Jaramillo the care taker was a gracious host.

Beautiful house, great location

The house was beautiful, well decorated, and well maintained. The hot tub was clean and so peaceful at night. It was a quick 5-10 minute walk to the plaza. Overall great stay and we would stay here again.

Great place for a small group

This property is lovely and spacious, great for our group of 4 adults and 1 dog. It was clean, nicely decorated and the kitchen is well stocked. The location is only a 10 minute walk to the plaza and surrounding shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this as a desirable vacation spot to stay.

Beautiful Home!

We loved our stay at this property. The interior is gorgeous and so well appointed. The hot tub was a nice bonus too! The neighborhood is quiet and an easy walk into the Plaza. We come to Taos often and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect size for our family. Short walk to Taos plaza. Kitchen well equipped. Very comfortable and convenient. We spent a lot of time skiing, but like being in town

Wonderful Stay!

We had a magical time staying at Casa Loma- there was an area on the property for every mood, time of day and type of experience - whether it was coffee in the sun in the patio or a glass of wine by the fireplace or fire pit in the the evening! Communication with the property manager was excellent and we had everything we needed for a girl’s getaway. Would definitely stay again.

Unique Properties Convenient to Taos Plaza and Large Enough for Families

Taos plaza is only about a half-mile walk from this stay. My family stayed here and the house is very unique and well-equipped. The hot tub was a fun extra. The property manager was very communicative, and check-in was easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Art & Authenticity in Taos

Wonderful art filled the home, and the layout was perfect for our family of five. Close enough to the plaza to walk in 8 minutes, and just a few minutes to a good grocery store. Property manager was personable and gave great locals’ tips to guide our five night stay.

Great place

We really enjoyed our stay here when visiting Taos. Spent many hours laughing at the firepit! This home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Yes the floors are uneven and there are stairs, but as long as you are paying attention, all should be good. We’d stay again!

Lovely home, close to the Plaza with much needed air conditioning

We had a great stay of 5 days with my adult aged children. The home is very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and found the wifi to work well. It is nicely situated and quiet. We would definitely rent it again when we come back next time.

Cozy, cool spot

This place was awesome, had everything we needed and was super close to the downtown area. I think the whole house could use a good deep clean but it wasn’t ‘dirty’ just a little dusty.

We - a family from Austria with 2 Border Collies (dogs are welcome in the Casa) who were finding themselves in flat South Texas due to work - were dearly missing the mountains from our home country.

Having read the story of Ernie Blake - the Swiss/German founder of the Taos Ski Valley, who was flying for years over Rockies to find a location which reminded him of his loved Alps - we fell in love with Taos over a few ski vacations.

The combination of world class alpine skiing, excellent restaurants (Taos features among the top ski locations for foodies) and the vivid art scene became too hard to resist.

The house in the historic center was previously owned by an artist and writer. A lot of the art has been retained and extended by alpine touches - creating an eclectic mix of Taos history and art combined with modern comfort. The location in town and the mentioned alpine touches will make for a perfect vacation in Taos.
