The Red House is a charming cottage on beautiful, spring fed Lake Cora. In spring 2022 we completed an update of the interior with a new kitchen including granite counters and appliances, updated baths, new carpeting and flooring. Three bedrooms plus a sleeping alcove with bunk beds can accommodate the entire extended family. Extraordinary western lake views just steps down to your own beach and pier. Roast marshmallows during evening bonfires in your beach firepit. Large lawn for net games and outdoor activities. Expansive four season porch across the entire front of the home offers year round lake living. Have your morning coffee while listening to the many varieties of birds (we’ve even seen a bald eagle of two) from the lake side outdoor deck. Enjoy fishing, swimming, boating (BYOB), local produce markets, brew pubs, Michigan fruit farms and just twenty minutes to Kalamazoo. Only two hours from Chicago!

Note we only do weekly rentals with Monday departures due to cleaning crew limitations.

Wonderful Getaway

The redhouse is a wonderful spot on Lake Cora. If you're looking for a home away from home, this is the place. It's clean, has a wonderful deck, comfortable beds, a beautiful enclosed porch and your own little beach. We thoroughly enjoyed it here.

Beautiful cottage on stunning lake

We had a fabulous time at the red house. The remodel is beautiful. The eight of us fit very comfortably in the cottage. All were adults. Loved having our canine friends come with us! Golfed several days at Lake Cora golf course and picked raspberries in town! Lots of great memories had! Can’t wait to return next summer.

Beauty and the Beach

The "Red House" was fantastic. Just steps from the sand beach and our own private pier. Sunsets on the deck were the best! Kids and grandkids all loved it. Owners were super sweet people. The perfect Michigan getaway. We highly recommend it.

Summer Vacation

My family of four, plus a couple day visitors, loved this house. It's in a quiet community with expansive views of Lake Cora. It has a sandy beach to lounge around and a dock to fish or tie up your jet ski. The water is very clear. The deck on side of house has full views of the lake and we saw amazing sunsets. The house is well appointed and plenty of room for my family of four. Communication with the property owner was excellent. We will return.
