Absolutely perfect and the host was very responsive and helpful. It was close to where I live so I will be recommending the property for anyone who comes to visit me.

Great place, great view and kayaks!

This place was among the nicest we’ve stayed at! The waterfront views were gorgeous and being able to take the kayaks out was a treat at the end of the day! We’d stay here again for sure!

Our family had a great time during our stay. The men caught a lot of fish (different types and sizes) each day. We enjoyed use of the kayaks, pool table and hot tub.This property has a lot more towels (kitchen, bathroom, hot tub, etc.), utensils/dishes, small appliances etc. than most rental properties (across different listing platforms used).A huge difference from other lake homes is the water quality. It seemed to be the same as city water vs. well or lake water that typically smells and tastes different.Our pups enjoyed their stay too I can see us returning in the future.Thank you James and Lauren for sharing your home with us!

beautiful views----sooooo relaxing!

This home is amazing! The views are so relaxing but there's plenty to do if you want to. You won't regret staying here!

Nice vacation

Nice place for a quiet getaway, fishing right outside the door, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, the neighbors bog kept coming over for a visit, but the owner of our rental was very helpful with that.

Amazing hideaway on Lake Shangri-La!

Our family had such a great time at James & Lauren's place. They were so accomodating, the house was super clean, and the setting--right on the lake--was beautiful. Highly recommend!!!

Nice house on a small quiet lake

Very clean place. Easy to check in. Lots of games, a nice hot tub, pool table. Comfortable for us 2, easily could have a larger group with nice bedrooms. Recommended. Kenosha area has everything you might need.

Perfect stay! The host's communication was friendly and responsive and the property was clean and lovely. We appreciated the extra little touches like unscented laundry soap used on the linens, firewood and chips for our snacking. Our group of six adults had a perfect, relaxing weekend and were able to swim, kayak, hot tub, play pool and sit around a fire all without having to leave the property. 10/10!

Great for families or couples

This house was impeccably clean and had everything needed to keep us entertained. Plenty of space to spread out but also enough seating for a group. James was prompt and courteous with all communication. Several charming small towns close by and great restaurants. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking too.

Peaceful and Relaxing

Property was well equipped to stay at the house and enjoy sunrises and sunsets. All the essentials in the kitchen to make a meal, pool or ping pong for the teenagers. The lake is very peaceful and the neighborhood was quiet. Many of the local restaurants had great food. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect family venue

Our stay on Lake Shangri-La was perfect. The house is well organized and has everything from board games to a pool/ping pong table and hot tub. Communication with the owner was easy, beds were very comfortable and the home was very clean. We hope to stay there again in the spring when we can kayak and fish. This house is very, very well thought out and comfortable.

The property was just as depicted, and super clean. (They also had a charcoal grill and a brand new portable fire pit.) The indoor hot tub was a treat! Fishing and kayaking were excellent. The hosts were attentive and responsive, and provided many amenities. Highly recommend. Five stars!

Beautiful Lake House!

We had a blast over at James' lake house! Amazing location, beautiful scenery, great for kayaking (which they have!), comfy beds, fun entertainment (the pool table next to the hot tub is awesome). James has been a great host too! Answering questions fast and making sure the whole weekend was going great! Would def recommend for anyone looking for a nice break near water
