A hilltop setting among the pines, great for a romantic get-a-way or a serine, getaway for the individual. The property is extremely private with expansive ocean views from every window and a relaxing patio for sunsets. Above the fog line (usually). 3 miles to the beach and 4 to town. Many guests find themselves, just hanging out, a very relaxing and soothing property. Many birds including Pileated woodpecker and Quail. Incredible night skies! Very, very clean (my wife) and comfortable. See photos. Every year we plant new flowers, lots of new improvements, new heating system, new hot water heater, new bed and bedding and new paint. As hosts, we respect your privacy and will strive to make you as comfortable as possible.

Charming Hilltop Cottage

The cottage is so charming and perfectly appointed with everything one needs to relax and feel at home.The view from the cottage's many windows is beautiful and even though our stay was during a torrential rain storm we enjoyed the coastal landscape and local eateries.Steven and Beth were fantastic hosts!We hope to return in the future.

2nd Anniversary

What a beautiful hidden gem. Host were great. The atmosphere was spectacular. Felt like home. The view was breathtaking, hummingbirds all around. Last day a mother deer and her kids came by to say good bye. Definitely a place to relax and rejuvenate.

Great Getaway for Any Weather

We stayed for the weekend and while we were hesitant about it being October weather, the temperatures inside and outside were enjoyable. The fog rolled in and obscured the ocean view, but the closeness with nature remained. We really enjoyed the landscaping with all the flowers, hummingbirds, and even tomatoes. It was the perfect weekend escape.

Super clean and comfy.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was super clean, the bed was comfy, and the views from every room are incredible. It truly is where the mountains meet the sea. Expansive sky views for stargazing and huge ocean views with spectacular sunsets. Perfect location, close to the best hiking and beaches. The owners live next door, but they are not clingy or intrusive. Great house with great amenities. sunsets

Great views and close to beach

This was a great location to stay in. Fantastic views of the ocean from the outside patio or in the house. Great host! No complaints at all. First rate location to explore up and down the PCH. Not far from a park with redwoods to explore. There is a more rural trail and then a park not far away in CA. This spot is very close to the beach with numerous spots to pull off and see the coastline and forest. Lots of birds to check out while you enjoy your coffee on the patio.

Mountain majesty

Beautiful detached cabin with gorgeous sunset views. Hummingbirds to greet you and quiet to surround you. Easy to get to town but hust as easy to isolate. Steven was easy to chat with when needed, and everything was as listed. Would love to stay again!

Wonderful! Better than we could have imagined!

What a fantastic time we had at Steven & Beth’s beautiful and cozy guesthouse. Spectacular views of the ocean and pines, summer gardens of flowers and hummingbirds and ripe tomatoes! Huge windows along the ocean side of the house which was stocked with everything we needed, complimentary delicious coffee, and a nice bottle of bubbly! Unfortunately Beth was out of town, but we had a great time chatting with Steve our fun and friendly host. We would love to come back and highly recommend this stay if you’d like to explore the Oregon coast, California redwoods and the gorgeous Smith River.

Beautiful view

Lovely place with a beautiful view! We loved the outdoor bar overlooking the mountains and ocean. Steven gave us a great tip on where to buy crab right off the boat! Great place to stay!!

Week in Oregon

Upon arrival we were astounded by the scenery of the outside patio and as advertised the inside was very cozy and also very clean. 10 out of 10 stay. Would return.

Peace in the trees with an ocean view

This little place is a gem as are its neighborly owners, Steven and Beth. They genuinely desire to provide for their guests, little things like a full ice tray and bottle of champagne cooling in the frig. Well-tended gardens, lively critters (birds, chipmunk, lizard for example) and a serene patio with a view of forest and ocean. Close enough to town and trails but away from the hub-bub. We loved it!!

Beautiful weekend getaway!

The house was so peaceful and had beautiful views. All the windows really opened everything up. There was a sweet little bar in front of the house where we sat with our coffee each morning and watched the birds - tons of hummingbirds and swallows. We even saw a bear one morning! The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need to cook with. Overall, it was a great getaway for the weekend. Would definitely stay again.

Relaxation and beauty await you!

Beautiful private property with an amazing view from your own patio. Hummingbird feeder was a real treat to watch! Steven and Beth live on the property but you definitely have your privacy but we loved chatting with them and getting ideas of places to hike; they were very gracious hosts. It's SO cute and super clean inside with lots of windows to see the amazing views and the ocean. The bed was so comfy with a thick, snugly comforter and we felt comfy leaving the blinds open so we woke to views of the trees and sky, amazing! We would stay again and highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful and Quiet

Beautiful surroundings in the woods, frequented by deer. Private and quite. Hosts were very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay here. The one downside was the foam mattress was not comfortable for my husband and it had a plastic cover on it that became damp and sticky during the night. A nice mattress topper would help that.

High above the treetops and surrounded by nature and the owner’s gardens. To comeback to this beautiful property after spending the day enjoying all that the Oregon and California coasts have to offer was the cherry on top! Thank you for your hospitality.

Beautiful Haven

My friend and I were pleased to see the wonderful surroundings. The secluded wooded area, amazing view and beautiful courtyard. The proprietors have done an excellent job in creating a wonderful garden backdrop full of colorful flowers, herbs and vegetables. The indoor accommodations were great. The bedroom was cozy. The large windows facing the ocean and forest allowed a lot of sun to come through. We will be back. 😊

Scenic Delight

We arrived and were promptly greeted by the friendly owners. The property looked as expected and felt even better -- the view, the wildlife (birds galore), and the flower & vegetable gardens. The amenities included a comfortable king-sized bed and windows in every room that surrounded us with trees, sunlight, and a view of the ocean; we felt relaxed and welcomed from the moment we arrived. Nice touches throughout the unit made us comfortable, and coastal adventure was a car ride away.

Peaceful

From the advertizement I was under the impression we'd be staying in the house. That was not the case, they have what I can explain as a detached garage for us to stay in (thats fully rennovated for living space) that was a few feet away from the house they live in. I didnt expect to be staying on the same property as the homeowners was all. Maybe it was my fault, this was my first vrbo. After the initial surprize, I got over it and my husband and I had a great time. The homeowners were welcoming and friendly and were great with directions. The cottage we stayed in was clean and comfy and everything worked well. It was better than a hotel for sure, just wasn't expecting to be staying on the same property as the homeowners.

Serenity! we are about a mile and a half (as a crow flies) from the ocean. The view is very expansive! One looks over the tree tops to the sea. Peacefulness abounds. Lots of beautiful flowers all around the property. Many guests spend full days here rather than doing something else. We are 5 min. to the beach, 10 min. to town. Lots of great eateries available.
