Since our remodel 2.5 years ago we have a 4.8 Average review rating as of 11/20/24.
Both the Master and Loft have queen beds. Warning: The loft has a steep staircase and a low ceiling. It also has a low bannister overlooking the living room so not advisable for young children. There is an easy path down to the beach which is frequently strewn with driftwood. We notice some very careful people enjoy bonfires! Wake up to waves crashing beneath you. Brew a strong cup and start your morning back in the Jacuzzi or looking out from the cozy sunroom as the sun begins to illuminate the breaking waves underneath you! Stroll the beach with your doggy, explore the tide pools or fly a kite. Got a surf board? Join a few locals just 600 ft up the beach to a hollow wave break. Keep walking the long beach across the OR border to the ever-changing Winchuck river mouth. Look for the seal pups. Your cabin is fully equipped for me the owner and I enjoy cooking and all the amenities of this sweet cabin whenever possible! It is small but amazingly efficient and comfortable to maximize your connection to the surrounding environment
Remember to turn off the living room flat screen TV, at least for the magnificent sunsets. You won't regret it. Also you probably want to book enough days for exploring time nearby Brookings, the flowing rivers & of course the famous Redwoods.

What a relaxing stay. Walked in and was greeted with an amazing view. When I stay at the beach I want to see and hear the ocean, I was not disappointed. The hot tub was wonderful morning and night. Very easy walk down to the beach. The bedroom was tight, but the bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was adequately stocked. We would definitely stay here again! Loved it!!

The hot tub with the ocean view was spectacular, the beach being so close was amazing, everything in the cabin was so cute and tidy and truly home away from home, except better. Will definitely be back!

This is a beautiful cabin in a beautiful location.It is very enjoyable to sit in the Jacuzzi while overlooking the ocean. Within decent distance from town if you need to run and grab anything, Would definitely stay here again.

Clean and relaxing. Great view of the ocean from the private hot tub!! Neighbors on each side but plenty of privacy. Have stayed in this cabin before and always enjoy it!!

No AC , no outlets upstairs(there is a tv but no where to plug it into . Stove missing knobs. Cabin decks in poor shape . Railings rotting and some deck boards as well. ( the ocean does a lot of damage to these cabins, upkeep is super important. Host didn’t respond to us in a timely manor. We tried to call and message when arrived and didn’t get a reply until 12am next morning . Amazing view *****Access to beach was amazing just two cabins down

This place has spectacular views and the location is amazing. The place is a bit run down meaning, a window is not set right upstairs so it shows an old leak. Dusty blades on the window panels and ceiling fan. An old wet bra left on deck by spa. The cleaning company missed it and whoever stayed before us put the top cover of the spa lid wrong so it was completely exposed. The decking is weathered and chunks are missing around the deck and railing. Compared to the other cabins this was bad. The front deadbolt doesn’t work at all so only the bottom lock works. The knob is about to fall off as well. The picture on the site shows a white door and currently its a blue door. So for the price it was good and 10/10 views made it better!!

Hey Shelley, I am sorry for the few items that were not up to snuff. The deck issues are scheduled to be fixed. We never had a leftover bra, but can understand your surprise. Cristina, our house cleaner, gets top remarks all the time so not sure what happened there. We will jump on the lock issue. Hope you return again for a better experience.

The location always makes the experience amazing. The view from the living room is breathtaking!They also upgraded the tv and got a new jacuzzi since we stayed last.

This day was a calming/refreshing experience for my two children and myself. A beach access that felt like our own beach because there was hardly any people every time we went down to it. We woke up every morning to the sounds of the ocean crashing along the beach outside our windows every morning and every evening going to bed. The sunsets were breathtaking and mesmerizing. We came to celebrate my daughter‘s 19th birthday celebration and walked away with a magical experience. We would definitely go back in a heartbeat. We didn’t want to leave and go back home. Beautiful little house that has the most perfect view for any occasion. Our host was easy to communicate with, so nice, and willing to help out with anything we needed. I can’t speak highly enough of him and this home he allowed us to create memories in.

The unit was not clean when we arrived, the host was not very communicative up to the booking when we had questions or issues but luckily he was easily reached when we arrived to find the unit had not been cleaned. He offered to compensate us for the inconvenience and at least buy us dinner while he located the cleaner and made arrangements to have it cleaned. The alternative was that we clean it ourselves, which I agreed to do because I’m not a jerk. He was able to get her to come clean it and we only had to wait about 25 more minutes when we returned from dinner (about 2 hours later)… this was after a long day of travel so we were very tired.. but again we aren’t jerks so we rolled with it. Unfortunately, the state of the unit was in dire need of repairs, the deck had a broken floor board with exposed nails, tons of rotten wood. The upstairs had a TV, but no wall outlets, so you couldn’t plug it in. The sliding doors did not lock. The hot tub had so much chlorine in it that the fumes burned our eyes. Absolutely beautiful location and easy access to the beach, you can tell it was once very nice, which was why we stayed. Another let down was after the stay concluded, the host did not honor his offer to refund any of the fees or pay for our dinner, even after I offered to provide the receipt. He never replied to my follow ups and may have even blocked me! I never asked for any compensation, was extremely understanding and pleasant, I just expected what was freely offered.

Yes it is true about the view and easy beach access. But, don't forget how many other comfort things we take for granted, such as a good bed, efficient kitchen, clean bathroom and cozy furniture. Oh and maybe a hot tub too, if tired of Netflix on the flat screens. Just saying! Also, Every once in a while when we get there ourselves, we find some time to go into town, play some pickle ball or visit the giant redwoods.

Ya in some ways, the loft is the best space. Yet because of the low ceiling and steep staircase, less so. I truly appreciate each room, mostly because of being grateful for the efficient comfort they provide, allowing such an immersion into our remarkable coastline beauty.

I bought this location because I loved staying in this exact same unit. Great stuff, leather couch, down comforter, flat screen TV. WIFI. Sometimes you'll close glass doors because the waves are too loud!
I live in Ashland, a gorgeous drive inland following the amazing Smith River, past the Redwoods and Cave Junction. Grew up surfing in CA and now got the best of both! Surfing, and no crowds!

It doesn't get better than this!. Few neighbors. Beach is underutilized. There have been times when the surf got so big and tide so high almost felt like we had to evacuate. If you get sea sick but love being on the water this is your place! If you like comforts of home including flat screens, Jacuzzi, internet leather sofa, but also love a bonfire, look no further. Get discounts for longer stays!

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Views, views, views!!! Jacuzzi deck. Well appointed furnishings and kitchen. Private loft area. Safe off the hwy, private areas, don't have to worry about kids running into street. Send them down the private path to the beach and watch them from the deck! Good dogs probably ok but extra cleaning cost. Worth it to have a real clean stay.
