We had a great experience at the home. The location is awesome if you are wanting a lakeside experience. The space is huge and accommodating and has everything you need!

Well maintained. Responsive host. Several different hang-out spaces both indoor and outdoor. Access to shed with many outdoor activities was a plus. Free boat lift use. Would stay again!

Our stay was spectacular! The house was big and roomy, the grounds were neatly groomed and big, the lake access was great! No complaints ❤️

Family vacation

This house works so well for us with the proximity to the water, enough bedrooms, great kitchen, multiple living spaces. It is just such winderful place!

This property suited our needs for the # of people that stayed with great kitchen, dining room space. The added space in basement & upper patio was used a lot. Conveniently located for dining & shopping experiences. Beautiful sandy lake bottom & shallow lake depth was definitely used by grandkids … they loved the paddle board that was supplied by host. The VRBO was clean with a lot of added touches such as beach towels, some firewood, extra gas tank, yard games. The host was very accommodating & was available to assist with any questions or concerns. Excellent property for a lake vacation or reunion. Our entire party stated that they would consider this VRBO for any future family gatherings.

Summer Sunsets

This property exceeded every expectation we had. From spacious living areas, the extra fridge/bar area, the very relaxing sun room and the amazing lake view with beautiful sunsets. Our family enjoyed every minute.

Lots of space to relax

Property was beautiful and well maintained. We liked the space where everyone could relax. The sunroom was our favorite. The driveway was a little tricky with a boat and trailer but other than that this is a perfect place for a family getaway.

Fun for all ages at The Wavefront Retreat

The whole family, ages 4+, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Wavefront Retreat. The kids especially loved the cool bunk room! The many inviting and comforting accommodations made us all feel right at home. The glorious lake views (especially at sunset) were perfection! Many memories were made during our stay, and we will definitely recommend the Wavefront Retreat to others!

The property is as advertised and more. It was a great time for our entire family of 12. Our host was responsive to our needs and very easy to work with. It was truly a 5 star plus home.

Our friend group had a great weekend! Tara was very responsive and the accommodations were top notch. We had everything we needed and more. It was nice to have some lake items and lawn games available. Would highly recommend

After the Fourth...

Everything that we could possibly need was provided. We had beautiful weather! The beach toys were used by our grandkids. We sat on the dock, and the patio, and loved the beautiful sunsets. We all want to come back next year!!!

Summer Fun!

Beautiful home on a gorgeous landscaped lot. Our party of 10 enjoyed our stay there & highly recommend you consider this home for your getaway. We had everything we needed & then some! Tara pleasant to work with & the welcome gift a nice attention to detail we appreciated! The backyard is spacious for outdoor games or just enjoying a bonfire! Plus a lovely place to watch the sunsets!

Family Lake vacation

Nice and roomy house with beautiful lake views. Difficult to maneuver boat/pontoon trailers in driveway and frontage road. Beach would have been decent but swimmers itch from day one prevented use of it.

We are so sorry to hear about the swimmers itch. It is always a concern in Minnesota lakes. It is a short lived issue that occurs some years but hard to predict or mitigate it. It appeared early this year but have not heard of it for several weeks. A couple things to try (and unfortunately this doesn’t help you at this point☹️). Lather up with lotion sunscreen as it creates a barrier that prevents the burrowing and towel off right after getting out of the water. Showering off quickly also helps. It may also help to not swim right by the shore but out a bit. I know little ones like to play near the shore but since Ottertail remains shallow for a distance, wading out halfway down the dock may help. Also we know the frontage road is tight as it is a shared access road with several properties. We are sorry it is hard to maneuver trailers especially if a party has two. Due to the location of the frontage road and the main road we are limited as to what we can do.

Something for everyone

Great spaces, upstairs or downstairs there is room for everyone to enjoy their time together or doing their own thing. The lakeshore had room for all too. We had two boats at the dock and that worked great also. The only problem was parking the boat trailers, not enough space to turn around or park. Luckily the neighbors weren't home.

Creating family legacy

My family came to stay at Tara's beautiful home for the second year in a row - and it was wonderful. I grew up coming to this very lake as a kid and we decided to reconnect to honor my mom after passing in 2021, as this was her favorite place to be. Tara was such a gracious and thoughtful host! She communication was quick and helpful and the home is well appointed for all ages. The kids loved having the floaties and paddle board, and the adults enjoyed all the outdoor spaces and versatile gathering spaces inside. We love our time here and are hopeful to make this a new family tradition!

Highly Recommend!

We enjoyed our trip to Otter Tail Lake! The house was the perfect size for our family gathering. Communication with Tara was fantastic. She warned us about the potential for Swimmer’s Itch based on the guest before us, and gave us tips to try and avoid it. Fortunately, we did not experience any issues and all kids and adults spent time in the lake. The home was clean and comfortable. Just as described! The owners provided firewood and many other extras, such as lake floaties and yard games. Great stay!
