This place was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was a short driving distance from downtown and airport. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Austin.

Great comfortable stay

We enjoyed staying in this comfortable house while prepping for our daughters wedding. It is light and bright and very tidy. The neighborhood is friendly and safe for walking. We plan to return soon and often.

Lovely home!

What a beautiful home! The cleanliness was immaculate, and communication with the host was good. The location is great not too far from downtown. Additional beds if needed. Would definitely stay again. Made our reunion that much more amazing.

This house is beautiful and very clean. Provided every need that was needed. Cory was very good at communication and was very quick to respond.

Broken AC -- & insufficient refund

I’d recommend staying somewhere else. When we arrived, the AC wasn’t working. The property owner came 1.5 hrs later that evening to see if he could fix it. The repair guy wasn’t going to be able to get the part/AC fixed until day #2 of our stay. And we’d need to be onsite to let the repair guy into the house in the morning. The property owner promised us a discount if we could wait until morning when his regular repair guy could come and get it fixed vs. him having to call an emergency tech (which we knew would cost an arm and a leg on a holiday weekend). Since our plans of hosting a dinner that night were already ruined, we agreed to wait until morning (thinking the refund would be adequate). I told him a one night refund on what we paid would be a fair given the situation. We didn't receive this amount (only ~65% of what we paid for one night). Other things to note: the pillows and couch were cheap/uncomfortable, it wasn't clear all the towels were in the toilet closet of the master bathroom, there wasn't a full sized coffee maker (drip coffee for party of six is annoying), there wasn't a mixing bowl, and he had to spray for wasps while he was at the house (since there were holes in the screens and we'd have the windows open due to the AC). AC in Austin Texas in late May is an absolute MUST. The last thing people want to be doing on their vacation and after a long day of traveling is dealing with something like this (or dealing with trying to get a refund).

Thank you for your feedback. I want to clarify that the option to have the air fixed immediately and offer to buy several mobile air conditioning units was offered. These were denied in lieu of getting a partial refund. As I live 1 hour away (which I made clear upon first contact), my response was immediate. I did get the air going before I left, and the repair man was there at 9 am the following day on a holiday. I also stated that you were free to leave and I would show to the house for him to access what he needed so that you were free to go about your plans. YOU declined this and stated you would be there. I do apologize that 1 coffee pot was not enough for your group. It's made to create 8 cups of coffee and you had a group of 6. I will be sure to get mixing bowls to add to the kitchen in the future. You also mentioned holes in the screens but we both walked the windows for you to show me where they were and none were found. Wasp nests pop up on an almost daily basis, unfortunately. I do spray them each time a new one is found. Regarding the refund, I returned 100% of the profits made from the first night's stay. Please realize that what you pay to VRBO includes fees and service charges that the hosts does not receive. I refunded 1/3 of the profits from your 3 night stay. I apologize that this was the experience you had while visiting our city. But in the future, please don't try to leverage a negative review threat in exchange for the refund amount you requested.

Perfect Spot in Austin to stay

We came to Austin to spend a few days. We chose this home because it is just 15 mins from everything. We were so pleased at how pretty this home was. It's very well maintained. The owner also had thoughtful touches for us throughout the home. It has three great bedrooms, a spare single bed/cot and accessories tucked away if you have a young child. The showers worked great and plenty of hot water. The kitchen was stocked with appropriate kitchenware. We will come again if we are back on the area.
