Completely remodeled classic 40's home on corner lot in popular Zilker Park neighborhood. Great location for everything Austin has to offer. Walk to restaurants, bars, shops. Two miles to Barton Springs, Zilker Park and Austin's many miles of hike and bike trails around Lady Bird Lake.

Family Christmas Trip to ATX

This property was exactly the right fit for my family of 6! We had enough room to spread out but a nice family space for gathering. Location was great to all we wanted to do and see in Austin. Carole and Kerry were excellent hosts and made sure we had everything we needed and wanted for our stay. Great communication and recommendations! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay for a visit to Austin!

South Lamar home base

Our family of 4 (2 sons 18 & 21) stayed in Kerry and Carole’s lovely home off South Lamar for a 4 day visit to Austin. The house was perfect. Very clean and lots of space. Master suite was just right so we had our own bathroom. Kitchen was fully outfitted so we could save a few bucks making meals as needed. Comfy couch and good WiFi really helped when the weather wasn’t cooperating with our outdoor plans. Great backyard and deck was nice in the mornings. Absolutely perfect location to get anywhere we wanted to go - Barton Springs, Lady Bird Lake, Congress restaurants and music venues, Bee Cave area and, of course, the great downtown district. Will definitely stay again.

Zilker Park La Casa

Really great place. Despite being close to Lamar, it was quiet and the backyard was very peaceful, with mature trees and horseshoes (which I'm not very good at). Location was great with walkable options including coffee, restaurants and beer garden. Access to the house was easy and painless. Would return again.

A South Lamar Gem

I have stayed in many homes in Austin over the past years and this was by far my favorite. The host was the most communicative ever! The layout of the home was perfect for our family. The beds were so comfy. Loved the neighborhood and taking early morning walks. I just cannot say enough good things about and definitely look forward to coming back!!

Quiet, comfortable stay in a great location

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this La Casa property. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and was clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the A/C keeps the house cool even during the Texas summer. Accessing the property was easy, and the owners checked in to ensure all was well. We would definitely stay here again!

Location and Comfort

This lovely house was conveniently located for seeing family in North Austin and checking out the hill country. The back yard was perfect for young children. The house is charming and comfortable.

Perfect home away from home

Carole and Kerry’s home is in a fantastic neighborhood, it is well appointed, well equipped, and overall a wonderful place to rent. We spent a lot of time on the nicely shaded back deck, where this is a lot of great bird watching. I plan to come back to this house many more times! It’s perfect!

Very good location - near downtown in a neighborhood a short drive from everything. Loved the horseshoes in the back yard even though I was terrible....

Great experience

We had an amazing stay. The house was so cute and charming. It was well equipped with amenities such as a blow dryer, coffee maker (my life mine), shampoo, etc. it was clean and well kept. The location was perfect and central to many things to do in Austin. Carole made our stay super welcoming from the day it was booked. She sent recommendations of places for us to check out and was only a text away if we needed anything. She made it feel like a home away from home. I would definitely stay there again!

If you're looking for comfy-cozy, this is it!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cute house in a nice Austin neighborhood. The house is located a short distance from a busy street but was very quiet. We had no difficulty getting into the house on our day of arrival, thanks to detailed advance communication from the property owner. There was a pitcher of ice-cold filtered water in the fridge upon our arrival, which was very much appreciated after a long, hot travel day. The bedroom blinds kept the rooms very dark, which (along with the comfortable beds and pillows) made for great sleeping after a busy day of exploring the city. There was plenty of closet space and hangers. We were able to walk to several coffee shops, food trucks, and restaurants; but Uber drivers were always readily available when needed, and the cost for a ride to the downtown area was around $10-12. I highly recommend La Casa!

Spacious with great location

Relax but also close to the action

We loved our stay at La Casa. The lounge chairs in the backyard under the trees are perfect to relax and drink your morning coffee. Also super close to lots of great restaurants. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great Property!

This property was great! The host was so great with communication from booking, to check in, checking in on our stay, and check out. The house was located in a wonderful location with such fun restaurants within walking distance. The house was spotless and had great amenities for cooking. Perfect place for our visit to Austin

My husband and I stayed with another couple, and the house lent itself well to our group. The bedrooms were set apart and so we each had our own bathroom (one ensuite) - and we didn't end up using the 3rd bedroom - so we didn't feel on top of each other. Since there were so many things to see in varied neighborhoods, it was nice to spend time in one that was quiet and easy to navigate. It was a bonus to have a nice backyard, and we spent the afternoon of one of our days reading and resting a bit under the beautiful trees. There are so many places to eat in Austin, we didn't use the kitchen much, but it seemed to have everything that you'd need if you wanted to cook. There were plenty of coffee cups and wine glasses, so we were set. :) Overall, a great place to stay that we would recommend. Cheers!

Anfitrión: Carole and Kerry Price

We are Kerry and Carole Price and have been hosting out of town guests in Austin for over three years.
We have been married for over 30 years and have raised both of our children within a mile of this home and still live in the neighborhood. Kerry still has a day job in the packaging business and loves wooden boats. Carole manages the vacation rental properties and is a community volunteer with Hospice Austin.
We both found our way to Austin: Kerry from Minnesota and Carole from Glasgow Scotland. We met in South Austin in the mid 80's and have never left.
