Forget your worries in this spacious and serene house impeccably furnished with the most comfortable Sterns & Foster king sized bed you'll ever experience! The smaller bedroom has 2 comfy twin beds! The house sits on a 1.5-acre lot to ensure privacy. Minutes to Lexington, Georgetown, Paris, I-75/I-64. Situated in the middle of Thoroughbred country this charming 2/1 house is tucked in the middle of some mature hardwood trees and is oh so relaxing! Iconic Evan's Orchard is right around the corner! Take a tour of the local top-notch thoroughbred farms, hit the Bourbon Trail adventure, World class horse racing at Keeneland (April and October), Red Mile harness racing and Casino all in neighboring Lexington! The Ark Encounter is less than an hour away! So many wonderful adventures await! Sunsets are gorgeous while sitting on the front porch!

This was a wonderful stay! Laurie was amazing and her house is so warm, inviting, and clean. Her design touches make you feel like you’re staying with family. I am looking forward to our next trip to book her little house with beautiful blue grass views again!

The home was nicely appointed and pet friendly. I only have one recommendation and that would be to get a Keurig coffee machine so guests could bring their own kcups. Loved watching the horses across the street while having my morning coffee as well as having dinner on the back covered porch.

Tranquil setting

We had a great stay. After long days of concert going we enjoyed the relaxing getaway not far from Lexington. Laurie was great to deal with.

Perfect Spot!

We booked this for an extended stay for a competition at the Kentucky Horse Park. The property was perfect! Super convenient to the horse park and had everything we needed. The host was a pleasure to work with and was very responsive. We will definitely be booking this again for future stays!

Stay in Scott County Kentucky

House is very well appointed very quiet, rural location in a very beautiful area near Georgetown and Lexington very convenient to Keeneland racetrack

Peaceful

We loved being out in the “country” where it was nice and quiet and still not to far away from town or the interstate.

Away getaway

Secluded , cozy feel. Owner was super nice, wonderful mattress. Right near an orchard which was a pleasant surprise. We went to red river gorge one way and arc and creation museum the other way , so a good half way point.

Quiet, comfortable, clean older house in the country yet close to everything you need. Host was easy to reach and very accommodating. A perfect place for my two weeks at a horse show. Only negative was the washer and dryer were not useable due to a previous guest’s abuse but the host offered to have the laundry done.

John was so easy to host! Yes, we will always do whatever it takes ensure our guests have a stellar experience. Laundry pickup and delivery can be arranged as needed. Win-Win! Kind of like all of our Equine Family's experiences at the Kentucky Horse Park!

We had an excellent stay.

The house looked exactly as pictured was well stocked with things vacationers might need, and super clean. The master bedroom was spacious with multiple options for clothing storge. We were comfortable and felt relaxes and safe throughout our visit. The location was quiet and easy access to nearby tourism opportunities, including day trips to The Creation Museum ,The Ark Encounter and The Horse park. It was also convenient to local shopping and dining in Georgetown. Last thought ,Laurie was Great to work with. Thank you for offering your home as a vacation rental. Bill and Janet

Very pretty

My husband and I stayed at this pretty little property. It's well laid out and we had everything that we needed. The hostess responded promptly when we had a question. She was very nice. The only negative thing that I can say is that there was some kind of motor outside that ran all night. It probably wouldn't have bothered us if we hadn't just been through the hurricanes and had to run the generator.

GENTEEL COUNTRY HOME

This place was everything we could have hoped for. We were there for the Breedeer's cup and were made to feel welcome from the start. We would have gladly paid more. The entire time, there was nothing we could have asked for that wasn't provided. The pictures do not do the location justice. The near-by town of Gerogetown was a great place to get a meal and a cocktail. Everything from the beds to the books were compliments to the genteel nature of the location.

I am very surprised and disheartened by this review. Not once did you ever communicate anything was not satisfactory. And you waited a month to even post a review. 1 star?!? Oh PUHLEEZ.
