We invite you to stay in our cozy, rustic tiny home on Black River, in Ludlow Village, an easy walk to Main Street. Just a few steps from our back door, dip your toes or take a swim in Black River. Share stories around the fire pit. Enjoy mountain views or take in the stars on our relaxing hammock. Okemo Mountain is just a short drive away. Two bedrooms w/full baths, a fully stocked kitchen w/ gas stove, dishwasher & refrigerator, & living space provides everything you need in a tiny footprint.

Weekend Trip

Stayed at this property while on a bookstore trip in Southern VT. Was perfect for what we needed and very close to town. Host was very helpful!

Nice Little Place

We had a great stay here. It’s just as advertised - a small home just outside downtown Ludlow. Convenient to Okemo and Killington.

Very comfortable

We stayed here for 6 weeks. It was very comfortable. We enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

There is no accessible river first off. Instead is a tall berry bush acting as a lot line barrier . There is no hammock and the fire pit area has been allowed to go to weed. The bar b que was filthy. Steps and landing up to the entrance is dingy. Inside the sun room where one first enters is stark and unappealing. The entire place smelled stale. I

Great property close to Okemo

My family and I booked this for our trip to Okemo. The property was in a great location. We were about 10 mins to Okemo and close to all the restaurants and cafes in the area. Highly recommend!

Ski Weekend in Ludlow

The house was as described and a great base for my husband, brother, dog and I to stay for a long weekend of skiing at Okemo. We found the beds comfortable and the set up was great for cooking breakfast and a couple of snacky dinners. The house was located conveniently close to town, which offered several restaurant options and a grocery store.

Spiritual healing retreat

Everything about this stay exceeded any expectations I had. Marvelous location, great homey, warm accommodations. Rebecca, the host could not have been more lovely and kind. I would return here, from California in a heartbeat.

Skiing

It was cozy and a nice lace close to town. Could use more silverware and some glasses. The one bathroom was clean but a little rough in the finishing department. Exposed pipes etc

Two Night Stay

Visit was good. We stayed Wednesday, July 5th, 2023, Thursday, July 6th, 2023 and checked out on Friday, July 8th, 2023. I was concerned about the floor in one of the bathrooms. There was a soft spot right in front of the bathroom sink. Hopefully that will be repaired so there aren't any accidents.

Simple, cozy, and clean

This older property was clean, stocked with linens, has a washer/dryer and dishwasher. The beds and sheets were super comfortable! While it's a bit dated, it was perfect for our needs. We appreciated the smart TV too, so we could watch our streaming services. There was even tea bags and sugar ( byo coffee), salt & pepper, and condiments. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes, towels. The owner was very nice to communicate with, even sharing where the comfy sheets were purchased when I inquired. Will stay again next time we're in that area!

Ski Trip

House needs some pride of ownership. Large hole under carpet in front of bathroom vanity. Thought I was going to fall through. Shower curtain rod kept falling down Electrical wires exposed in same bathroom and in living room. Drawers in kitchen would not open all the way. Limited silverware and dishes, 4 of each. Location, parking and size,2 bedroom and 2 bathroom were the positives points.

The cottage is listed as on the Black River. The river was rerouted during one of the past storms. You can't see or hear it at all. There is a huge hedge and it is not just beyond it. The yard was not kept up and there were just 2 plastic outdoor chairs. We had an issue with the trash and it took an entire day for owner to find a local to resolve. To be fair alot of work has been done on the place. New windows and electric. There is a lovely porch but very little furniture. Could be adorable with a little love. Biggest issue location was misrepresented. We thought we were renting a water view.

The host was very responsive to inquiries. For example, the coffee pot was MIA and she had one ready for pick up at the local hardware store the next day. The property is very convenient for hiking, skiing, and Ludlow, Wallingford, and Chester (among others) for shopping. We didn’t bring our dog this time but it is pet friendly. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were comfortable. It is private and relaxing.

Absolutely wonderful experience

Rebecca was amazing. Extremely responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend staying there to anyone going to Ludlow for skiing or hiking.

Vermont Getaway

It was a perfect place to bring our dogs. A good size backyard and on good road to walk the dogs. The neighborhood is quiet. It's close to town, so we could pick up food to bring back to the house. The owner was quick to reply when texted her.
