Fall mountain getaway

The Lodge at Connestee Falls was the perfect spot for a fall mountain getaway. The house had everything we needed, including a porch with a fire pit and a beautiful view. We will definitely go again.

Connestee Falls Home

Spacious, clean property and location was close to lake, golf, pool. Enjoyed the outdoor deck and the cool mornings. Beautiful neighborhood and golf course!

Nice cabin

The overall experience was great, it was in an incredible Location, house was pristine, and the view was perfect. The only thing I would change is being more flexible with the check out time. My wife and I had booked a mountain bike tour that morning, after the bike ride we wanted to go back to the house and rinse off real quick before the drive back to Durham, unfortunately they weren't able to accommodate out later check out time we needed. But overall it was a great place to stay and definitely plan on staying there in the future.

Hi Ethan, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. We did extend the checkout time by 2 hours, but we couldn't extend any more because we had to get the house ready for the next guests.

Needs a little more attention to detail

Four stars, not Five, due to cleanliness. Kitchen and living area a little dusty as if it had been awhile since cleaning. Also, outdoor space, back deck and front walkway/drive, hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Leaves and lawn debris covered porch and walkways. We had to rake/sweep leaves to use. Also, both propane tanks for grill and fire pit ran out of gas. Thankfully, there was one spare. Overall, a great stay with plenty of room. Chocolates upon arrival were a nice treat :)

Hi Sherri, thanks for your feedback. The home was cleaned right before your arrival. We did a quality check shortly before your arrival and didn't find any dusty areas, so I'm sorry if this was an issue! We also had a very late leaf season this year. We swept leaves off a couple of days prior to your arrival, but had a rain that likely knocked the final leaves off of the trees. We received your message about the propane tank for the gas fire pit being empty and responded with the location of the spare. We didn't hear from you about the propane tank on the gas grill. If we had known both had run out we would have happily brought a second spare. I'm glad you still enjoyed your stay!

A relaxing stay

We spent a week with my in-laws and college-age son. The rain limited our hiking and pool time, but the house was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. It's a 15-20 minute drive to good restaurants and grocery stores in Brevard. Even in the rain we spent a lot of time on the covered decks. Very relaxing. We got in a short hike that was great, but if the weather had been better it looked like there were many to choose from. We'll come back.
