Walk to Skaket Beach

Located less than half a mile from Skaket Beach, this 4 bedroom/2 bathroom home is great for one or two families! Pet friendly, up to 2 dogs. 9 beds (full or twin). Can sleep up to 13 people if you choose. * Standard occupancy 8 - an additional fee for extra persons will be assessed at check-out. Check In Time: 3:00pm. Check Out Time: 10:00am. Outdoor shower, screened in porch, and firepit. Toddler supplies - 2 Pack-n-Plays (with sheets and blankets) and 2 booster seats. Quiet street with views of marsh and ocean from the cul-de-sac. Kid-friendly, clean, and comfortable with many amenities provided including towels, sheets, and beach towels. Limited supply of paper products and toiletries.
Pantry contains spices and other items for your use. Some beach chairs and sand toys in shed. Some bikes for use found in the cellar, along with a ping pong table, magnetic dart board, hockey table, and punching bag. For the price, this house is a bargain!

There’s a door at the bottom of the upstairs for extra privacy. Every bedroom has a closet, and a dresser for each bed. Enjoy our family room with dining area, large fireplace, and screened-in porch attached. Bright and breezy kitchen. Private backyard, outdoor shower, fire-pit, and shed for storage.

Walk to beautiful, family-oriented, Skaket Beach on Cape Cod Bay with warm water swimming, tidal flats for walking, snack bar, bath-house and beautiful sunsets. Quaint center of town with restaurants, groceries, mini-golf, ice-cream, shopping and more. Town hosts a team in the popular Cape Cod Baseball League. About 1 mile to deep sea fishing at Rock Harbor. Cape Cod Bike Trail is about ½ mile away and is the mid-point of the 24 mile trail. About 3 miles to Nauset Beach on the ocean side. Short distance to the Cape Cod National Seashore. Lower-Cape location provides easy access to cinemas, whale watching, art galleries, theaters, golf courses and more between Provincetown and Hyannis.

We had a lovely long weekend on Skaket beach. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. The house is incredibly well stocked with games, puzzles, kitchen items. We had everything we could have needed. The beach chairs, beach towels, linens, and bikes were all so appreciated. We barely needed to bring anything. The house is well set up for large groups or small. The attention to detail and needs of guests is quite nice. There are even extra toothbrushes, shampoos, and razors for the forgetful. We loved the outdoor shower. I would absolutely rent again. We really loved this house and Skaket beach. The flats at low tide were amazing and we loved watching the sunset on the beach with many others from the neighborhood. Highly recommend!!

Our family of 6 adults and 4 kids had a great stay! There was plenty of room for all of us to get together to eat and play games as well as to have enough space for our belongings and have a minute to yourself. We enjoyed the firepit and the screened in porch! The house had everything we needed! We loved the location! We were able to walk to Skaket and it's only a 10 minute drive to Nauset Beach where we went over-sanding all week! The hosts were very easy to work with and responded right away! I would highly recommend this house for large families!

Our 3-gen family loved our week at the Walk to Skaket Beach house. The house was filled with wonderful games and toys for the kids. It even had extra bicycles and a ping-pong table. We could tell this house has been treasured by a family similar to ours for generations.The price was right for a home with older appliances air conditioning. And we loved the short walk to Skaket beach.

Family vacation

Excellent location. Home is roomy and very well appointed. Nice yard, quiet neighborhood. Only drawback was no air conditioning, a couple of nights were brutal especially upstairs but there are plenty of fans available to use. We had absolutely no issues so didn’t need to contact property management. Had a great vacation and would definitely recommend for large families Thank you for letting us borrow your home for the week!!!!

We enjoyed our stay! The house was nice and roomy and we appreciated the beach chairs and the bikes. There was one night when we wouldn't have minded having some A/C, but that was pretty minor. Overall, great stay at a great house.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and organized. The kitchen was stocked with everything for your cooking needs. Plenty of beach supplies and even bikes to ride to Skaket Beach! At night our family had plenty of games, puzzles, and ping pong to keep us entertained. We would highly recccomend!

Sweet Time at Skaket Beach

Lisa and Dennis were great hosts, accurately describing their property and responding quickly and generously the few times we needed help or their attention. The house easily accommodated six adults and two infants, and we prepared big breakfasts and dinners every morning and evening on the large outdoor skillet/grill. With a license from the city, clamming for steamers right on Skaket Beach was fun and easy. We can't wait to return.

Orleans vacation rental

My family has stayed here for several years at Thanksgiving. The location is perfect for us as it is a very short walk to my sisters home. It is clean and spacious and works for our family of children, parents and grand parents.

Fun weekend with family

My family of 5 plus my parents had a wonderful weekend in Orleans. The house was perfect and the walk to the beach was enjoyable for our dogs. Would definitely look to rent again!

Wonderful stay in Orleans

This is our second time at this property. We brought our extended family for a beach vacation over the busy holiday week. This property has something for everyone - a short walk to the beach, space/items for children and infants, and a great fire pit. The beds were comfortable and there was enough hot water for us all to have a warm shower! We highly recommend this property and had a blast!

Great stay- outstanding location

First time in the Cape, and the location was outstanding for seeing all the sites, but still having an extremely child-friendly (calm) beach and great restaurants and shops nearby. House is set up very well for 2 families. Cons- no dishwasher, upstairs bathroom shower is small and no tub, no air conditioning (plenty of fans and windows though). When sitting on the carpet, I got a faint whiff of dog and had pet hair stuck to my pants. Pros- in addition to above, house is extremely well stocked with books, games, outdoor/beach toys and chairs for the kids; has some basic cooking ingredients and spices; very nice that it wasn’t just a starter set of paper towels, TO, etc. The house had everything we needed. Hosts very responsive. Nearby Skaket Beach is fantastic for young children. We had a wonderful stay.

Nice house, great location

We booked this for two families plus my older father to celebrate his 80th birthday. It was large enough for us all to spend time together inside or have space outside to spread out. Not fancy, but everything was to a good standard. Outdoor shower is always nice to have. The main feature is location, a short walk to Skaket beach or the rail trail. House is on a quiet private street that feels secluded, but a very short drive to stores, restaurants and the Firebirds baseball field. Nauset Beach also close if you want an ocean side beach. We were happy with it and would stay there again

Family Fun

This was our second year at this house. Both times parents, grandparents and children were really able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The location is super convenient; easy walk to a great beach and short drive to the town and shopping. (The only thing missing is a dishwasher.)

Close to beach, quiet and comfortable

We had a very comfortable long weekend near Skaket Beach. The property was well equipped and comfortable. The kids loved the table games, board games, and vintage books!

Great trip!

Great house, great location and really great hosts! The house was stocked up so far beyond my expectations, with very thoughtful items. And comfortable beds! We had so much fun taking our dog out onto the flats at Skaket beach!

Fantastic Fall Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in early September. Checkin was easy and the home was fairly clean. The house was well situated, close to the beach, and had all the beach and kitchen supplies that we could ever need. The house was even toddler proof with baby proofing supplies provided. This is a perfect place for young children and families with babies. We did have to refill the propane tank for the grill, but the hosts do reimburse for the refilling the tank. Beds were average and several of the mattresses should probably be replaced as they sink down quite a bit in the middle. Overall, lots of space to enjoy time together! We loved the fire ring, screened in porch, and toys/games. Definitely a family friendly choice!

Great house with a fantastic location

Our two families enjoyed staying at this home during the week before Labor Day. The layout is great with two bedrooms on each floor, allowing for our families to be separate at bed time but together in the living room during play time. The dining room and adjoining screened-in room made meal time seating easy. The kitchen was charming and well stocked. We didn't have any rainy days, so we didn't take advantage of the basement with its ping pong table, boxing bag and darts. We did take advantage of the beach chairs, cart and umbrella. The best part was the location. We could take a short 10 minute walk down to Skaket beach for swimming, sunset and/or star gazing. Accessing the rail trail is about half a mile ride. Driving into Orleans for groceries was almost shameful given how close it was to the house. Lisa is a superb host, promptly answering all of our questions and ensuring everything was perfect. We would stay again!

Excellent Stay

Great home in a great location. The home had everything you need. Loved having breakfast on the screened-in porch each morning. My son loved the outdoor shower. The teens could go to the beach on their own with just a 10 min walk. We had easy access to many great places on the Cape. Bike trail nearby. Great value. Very comfortable stay.

Perfect Week!

My family has long loved this part of Cape Cod. Skatet Beach is very friendly to young children who are learning to get comfortable in the water. The house itself was all we could hope for and more. The upstairs bedrooms were bigger than we expected. The back yard offered a great space for kids to play. The screened porch would have gotten more use, except the evening breezes kept the bugs away, so we tended to be outside. There were plenty of rooms so we never felt cramped for space. We lucked out with perfect beach weather every day! We all hope to return to Gull Lane soon.

Great location, very family friendly

Our family and a handful of late teens had a great week! The house had everything we needed and the vintage stove worked perfectly. Very close to Skaket Beach and a short drive to Nauset. Love that sheets and an assortment of towels were included.

We've owned this home ever since our daughters were toddlers, and have enjoyed creating memories of our time together - from hiking beautiful trails, walking the frozen tidal flats at Skaket Beach during the winter, riding on the Bike Trail, and so much more. We hope that our guests also create their own special and cherished memories while staying at our home!

Our family has owned this home ever since it was built over 45 years ago. There's nothing like breathing in the fresh salty ocean air and listening to the birds while relaxing on our back porch. I love how we can walk to the beach, walk to the bike path, and also walk into town if we choose. And the quiet location of our small dead end street is perfect for privacy!

Our home is carefree, no fuss, and extremely homey. I love the formica kitchen countertops from my childhood where many ice cream sundaes were made. I love the vintage stove that's still putting out home cooked meals. I love how you can hang out in any room and it's comfortable and cozy. Our home is well-used and well-loved, and is suited for families and friends of any age. It's well cared for and clean, and stocked with plenty of amenities you didn't know you needed!
