Exactly as described. Beautiful view, many comfy beds, great kitchen extras like plastic storage bags (we forgot to grab some so that was clutch!). Very peaceful and the home was spacious. We would love to stay again!

Communication with the host was great, always got an immediate response. The property was great, a bit of a knat problem inside though. Sleeping accommodations were up to par. The surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful

Beautiful lake. A great place to fish, relax, and enjoy the scenery.This was an absolutely wonderful place to do that!By far the nicest lake house we have been to.We already are making plans for next year.

The house was stocked with the things that you need for a nice trip down there, just beware that you are in a quiet peaceful place as far away from everything as you need, so get supplies that you need before you get there or you’ll have to take a small trip to get them. If you’re looking for a quiet peaceful getaway, this is it. Very nice. .the host is extremely nice.

This is our second year staying in this home. We love it here. The host is quick to respond with questions and very accommodating with any of our requests. The dock works great for being able to leave our boat in the water the entire stay and there is also enough space to park out truck and boat trailer.

Family fishing getaway

Everything about this property was perfect for us! The home had everything we needed and more! Robyn was very quick to respond with all questions leading up to our stay. This will definitely be our goto home for our stays at Lake Malone!

Perfect get away

My stay was a business trip but I will be coming back with my wife and friends for a long weekend. Great house the pictures don’t do it justice.

Relaxing

We stayed here while our hardwood floors were being refinished, so it was a ten-day stay. This became our "home away from home," and we are very grateful this home is cozy, comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. I loved curling up on the back deck while taking in the gorgeous views. Robyn is a very attentive and a wonderful host!

Boating weekend

House was very nice and perfect for my family to take the boat out for the weekend. The house has amazing views of the lake from large windows and a nice long covered porch. The family liked the chickens and firepit. The dock was a nice assest. I should have put the boat in the water first though before taking it up the road to the house and having to turn around.

Visiting my Parents

We rented the house initially because it was close to my parents who live nearby. The house sits right on the lake. It was perfect for us! The owners brought kayaks for us to use. There are steps right down to the dock. Great place for kids to play and swim. It was great. Lake Malone is gorgeous. Any time we had questions, they very quickly responded. You can't go wrong staying here!! I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful place in a beautiful location

Very cutely decorated lake home. You can tell the host has put a lot of thought into what people will need during their stay. We enjoyed swimming in the lake. Kayaks were available but we ended up being too lazy to use them. Robyn was very attentive to our needs as well and checked in frequently. Neighborhood is very safe and cute. Pros: Perfect Location Swimming and activity right off of dock Well stocked kitchen Plenty of outdoor spaces to hang out Things to consider: Cold air return is loud (for the noise sensitive)…as in I told my husband to turn the bathroom fan off twice, HA. You are in nature so expect some of the nature to get inside (like flies and some bugs)…it’s not by any means excessive, but don’t go with the expectation of not seeing any. We had a fantastic weekend away, and fully recommend this place!

The house was pretty awsome. Wife and I took the grandkids for the weekend trip. Got to do some fishing with the kids. Two of them caught their first fish ever. Had plenty of wood to have a fire and make smores with the kids. Over all a great time. House has everything there that you may need except the food you want. Host was great. Definitely will be back.

We absolutely loved this hidden gem. The views of the water were beautiful and the water was exceptional. Robyn was an amazing host and always answered promptly if I messaged her with questions. 10 out of 10. We will definitely be going back again and were thinking about making a yearly family trip.

View to the lake was nice. Parking was not the easiest with truck pulling a boat trailer as it’s very congested and narrow.Host was attentive.

Adorable cottage

Every comfort imaginable is provided at this quaint house. It felt just like home. Great communication with the owners as well.

Beautiful Views and Great Host!

We stayed in the beautifully remodeled upstairs of A Shore Thing Lake House. (The downstairs is under construction.). I loved the large window views of the deck and lake from the kitchen, living room and one of the two bedrooms. It was nice to be able to look over the lake while lying in bed. Both beds were very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed. My husband was especially impressed with the quality of the coffee pot and the assortment of complimentary coffee and teas. The living room, kitchen and dining area are open concept. The living room is equipped with a very nice large TV with access to Prime and Netflix (maybe others, I didn’t check.) The deck is a lovely place to sit with comfortable furniture a gorgeous lake view. Just be aware that the houses in this lakeside neighborhood are close, so at times we could see and hear our neighbors as well as smell the neighboring fire from our deck. Overall, we found the neighborhood peaceful and friendly. The state park is only a 20 minute drive. We went twice over the weekend to hike the trails and just sit, talk and look at the lake. It was extremely peaceful at the park. This was our first time at Lake Malone. It is such a pretty lake with bluffs at different places on the shoreline. I took one of the kayaks out to the bluffs which are around a bend to the right of the area where the lake house is. It was a perfect day for kayaking, and I stayed out a couple of hours. There is a small marina within walking distance of the house. They do not rent boats, but this rental would be perfect for someone who has a boat. It would give you a place to launch it really close to where you are staying. The Shady Cliff Restaurant is at the marina. We didn’t eat there, but it is nice to have that option so close. A Shore Thing was a great rental. Robyn is very friendly, organized and responsive. She answered questions promptly and provided us in advance with a handout of all the information we needed to enjoy her lake house and the area. Thank you, Robyn!

Great experience!

The house was great for our small group and it is newly renovated. We went fishing and caught bluegill and bass. It is also right next to the marina and restaurant , which was nice. I highly recommend this house!

Relaxing Getaway

My significant other and I wanted a place to take our 10 year old to fish and this was the perfect property. We enjoyed a few days fishing off the dock. The property is updated and very nice.
