Enjoy the 18th & 19th Century houses, Parks and squares. This is the nicest place to live in London. This is the part of the metropolis that many aspire to live. Property prices are sky high, why, because clean streets loaded with charm and wonderful shopping on the Kings Road. Our property comes with twin beds, shower no tub, living room with Samsung HDTV , mini kitchen, the all,important Free WiFi so you can stay in touch. Very comfortable flat in excellent location

We stayed eight nights in this well-maintained, comfortable and well-equipped flat. It is in a pleasant neighborhood within easy walking distance to a pub (2 minutes), a Tesco Express (3 minutes) and shops, restaurants, supermarkets and the world on King's Road (6 minutes). A 10-minute walk to Sloane Square and a 17-minute walk to South Kensington. The location is very quiet. The flat is perfect for two people, with two comfortable twin-beds, a dresser and closet space and mirrors in the bedroom and a sofa, table with two chairs and an ottoman in the main room. The sofa faces an electric fireplace which can be set to give off heat or not. The main room also serves as the kitchen with a range, microwave, refrigerator and washer/dryer. There is no oven but all of the other normal kitchen appliances are present. It is well equipped. The shower is roomy and the water flow strong. There is good lighting throughout the flat. Our host and hostess - Ted and MF - were pleasant and informative; Ted is a retired London guide and took us on a walk through the immediate neighborhood pointing out things that we would not have noticed and telling us of notable personalities (many from stage and screen) who had lived in the surrounding buildings. We have been to London many times - it's one of our favorite places to visit - and generally stay in the South Kensington/Chelsea area. This is one of the best flats we have stayed in and we have no hesitation of recommending it highly.

Wonderful Chelsea

Very comfortable apartment in beautiful neighborhood. Convenient to Kings Road and Sloane Square. Landlords are very pleasant and accommodating. We enjoyed our relationship with them very much. Looking forward to staying there again someday.

Cozy Flat, Perfect Location!

This flat was incredibly comfy with separate bedroom (2 twin beds-VERY comfortable), lovely bathroom with an AWESOME shower. I have long hair and usually the shower pressure won't rinse the soap out, but this was NOT the case here. The water temp was amazing, the lighting perfect for makeup application! The family room had a comfy couch, fabulous electric fireplace, mini fridge, microwave, sink (kitchenette), and everything you need. Testco market was a block or so away. Mark & Spencer is a 10 minute walk with a huge selection of food, clothing, necessities, etc., so you won't panic if you forgot to pack something. The only downside to the flat was it's not the front door you see in the photo. It's located around the corner of the front door, down the side stairs into a basement. When you open the window curtains, you look at cement walls. We didn't see this mentioned anywhere before booking, so, just be aware. Ted and MF are an incredibly sweet couple, they have great suggestions for sites, food, experiences, etc. I loved them right off! Ted offered to help order a car for the morning we left for the airport, and we had plenty of time. The location of the flat couldn't have been better. It was only a 10 minute walk to the tube, we hopped every line/bus/train to get to where we wanted every day, and had a peaceful walk back to the flat each night. Thank you Ted and MF for a wonderful place to call home for 8 days!

Fantastic location

My husband and I stayed for one week in October. The location of the flat was absolutely perfect for us. We could walk to the V and A, Royal Albert Hall, and the Kings Road with ease. The Sloan Square tube is an easy walk. Ted, our host provided great communication as well as a very nice tour of the neighbourhood. The flat itself is roomy and comfortable, in a relaxed grandmother style of decor, although a little chilly for us. We were unable to use the washing machine as a part was on backorder. Not a big deal. Loved there was a Bodum french press, toaster and fridge. The Marks & Spencer has an excellent grocery department, a short walk away. Overall, an excellent stay.

Perfect little flat in a lovely central location. The hosts are so nice and accommodating. Have stayed here before and look forward to doing so again. Can’t recommend highly enough !

Another lovely stay with Ted and M.F. and their two beautiful poodles. Superb location and comfortable accommodations for 2 people. Always enjoy the fish and chips at the Surprise! Thank you again for the wonderful stay.

Truely Wonderful!

Host are lovely with a wealth of knowledge about Chelsea and London areas. Lovely area in Chelsea within a very short distance to Kings Road Shopping and Thames River walks. Loved Battersea Power Station just a short stroll from Tite Street. There is even a prestigious local Pub ( The Surprise)! just down the road surrounded by Victorian Terraced houses! The accommodation was very homely and had everything there to make your stay perfect! Thank yiu to MF and Ted!

Perfect little pied a terre flat for one or two guests. Great location on a quiet street in a lovely area. Short walk to shops and transportation. The owners are so nice and easy to deal with, completely accommodating.

Great Stay

The apartment is as shown on listing. Very helpful host, great location. All that you need. Very cosy on the very cold nights that London was experiencing during my visit. Would stay there again.

Amazing Stay! Amazing Hosts!

My Husband and I had an amazing stay at this lovely apartment over the Christmas holiday. Everything about the apartment from location, to charm, to our hosts was above all expectations! Close to shopping and pubs and public transportation, we look forward to staying here again one day. Ted and Marie Francoise were charming hosts who delighted us with tidbits of history and tricks for navigating the tube and buses. Ted arranged a car for us back to the airport and positively loves his town. We travel a lot and this was one of the best experiences we ever had. Thank you to our hosts! This place is a 10 out of 10 and we recommend highly.

Great place, great location

The apartment is a comfortable haven for two people on a quiet street in one of London's best neighborhoods. Plenty of good restaurant options nearby. We loved it.

Charming flat

The property was quiet, comfortable and attractive in a beautiful area of Chelsea close to shops, restaurants and pubs with a tube stn about 12-15 min walk. Ted, the host, gave us an informative tour of the area our first morning there and both he and MF were very helpful to us. Thank you.

Charming apartment with kind and helpful owners

This apartment was so nice. Great neighborhood and most charming, kind, and knowledgeable hosts. Teddy took us for a tour of the neighborhood and boy does he know his stuff. Well-appointed place with very helpful notebook of information on tips, restaurants, etc... The tube is short walk. The bus is shorter. Loved it.

Ted and Marie-Francois are awesome hosts. Ted even gives you a fascinating neighborhood tour the first day! Very comfortable flat. Very private and well equipped. The Surpris Pub is just a few minutes away! Great food and staff. Easy walk to Sloan Square to catch the tube! You will really enjoy this!

Amazing location!!!

This basement apartment is the perfect home base for a London visit. The streets are lined with gorgeous homes and fancy cars. Ted gives a thorough walking tour off the neighborhood upon arrival, which is super kind, and makes all sorts of suggestions on where to eat and what to see. There are restaurants and grocery stores nearby and the Underground is .5 miles away. The apartment is clean and quiet. I would stay here again!

Well located, very comfortable and clean

Wonderful stay. Hosts were very accomodating in allowing early checkin as our flight was changed and arrived early. Ted and his wife (MF) were lovely people and we enjoyed some time talking to them. The apartment is very well located in Chelsea and close to a tesco store. The underground is around 7-8 minute walk. Overall would highly recommend.

Teddy and Francoise's VRBO

Conveniently located to the Bus Lines. Host is very helpful. Pubs within a few blocks....good food. Unfortunately, one of them had a flood and the kitchen was closed until the day we left, bar service there was always available. Ate at the Phoenix pub twice. Teddy takes you on a tour of the neighborhood on his scooter. The VRBO is on the bottom floor of a 3 story townhome in a lovely neighborhood. The shower is fabulous. If you are from the USA, you will be surprised at the size of the washer/dryer combo unit. It holds 4 lbs of clothes----nothing like the gigantic washers we have in the States. There is a small microwave and stove top burners, no oven. We had been on a cruise beforehand and I had used the launderette aboard ship thankfully. The weather was quite cool at night....wish I had packed a heavier jacket. They are having a heat wave now but it never got up to 70 degrees fahrenheit the entire time we were there and at night the temps really drop (June 1-6). They have been hosting for many years, since 1985 I believe. Lovely couple. The unit is connected to the main house above by way of a spiral staircase and a solid door.The host arranged our transportation back to the airport which was very considerate.

Spring visit

My son and (16)and I spent a week here while visiting London. My daughter was in college nearby. It was a perfect fit for the two of us. It was clean and well equipped. Wonderful area - close to grocery store and pub. Bus close by and tube a farther walk. Owner showed us the neighborhood and checked with us during the visit to make sure all was OK. An enjoyable week in London. Would stay here again.

Lovely Hosts

Ted and MF are gracious hosts that really do provide an amazing history of Chelsea and London. The apartment is cozy but dated. However, Ted's passion for history and his sense of hospitality are what make the place charming.
