Unwind and enjoy the spring/summer season from a charming cottage perch with spectacular views of private waterfront on one of New York's cleanest and clearest lakes. During the day you will most likely catch a glimpse of the many Bald Eagles nesting near by, and at night you can enjoy the Milky Way, meteor showers and shooting stars. Moor your boat off our private dock*, fish, explore the lake on paddle boards, or relax around the fire pit.

During your stay head out to one of the many local micro-breweries, outdoor cafes, antique shops and much more! Only 13 miles away is the historic village of Cooperstown. Cooperstown's picture perfect Main Street has many restaurants, shops, pubs and cafes and, anchoring it all is the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Catch a game at Doubleday Field, a baseball stadium heralded as the "birthplace of baseball." From Main Street you are a three-minute walk to the shores of one of Upstate New York's prettiest lakes (aside from Lake Canadarago!) Otsego Lake. Cooperstown always hits a home run on any list of the best Main Streets in Upstate New York.

This lakefront retreat is situated on a quiet lane with private parking, appointed with antiques, fine art, and has been newly renovated to make your getaway comfortable and unforgettable.

Amazing Stay!!!

Simply put, this is a stunning property, owned by a stellar host. The location was beautiful, quiet, very clean, and central to both Cooperstown and Richfield Springs. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a cozy lakeside getaway to rent this location.

Great place with a great view.

On a Quiet street. Great place to relax and go fishing and with a supermarket close by there is no reason why we wont come back.

Lake Effect

The house and lake are like one thing. Between the views you see from inside the house to the multiple seating and gathering spaces outside. It was delightful. The house itself has a simple and easy layout. There are nice decorative touches that made us feel like we could be staying at a friends house. And very very clean. Really. Quiet friendly neighbors. We all felt like we had lucked out in finding this rental.

getaway with baseball

we stayed here while our son was playing in the dreamparks baseball tournament. it was nice to be on the lake. saturday night we could here the live entertainment from across the lake coming from the lake house restaurant which was a nice treat

The best place to relax and find peace!

We had the pleasure of staying at Grey Skye while visiting family in New York. It was a beautiful retreat designed for peace and relaxation. The view overlooking the lake was stunning and we enjoyed getting out on the water with paddle boards. Coffee on the deck while birdwatching was the best way to start the day as was enjoying the cool breeze by the lake in the evening. The home had everything we could have needed and was in close proximity to stores and activities. We would love to come back in the future!

Wonderful stay on Lake Canadarago

Beautiful location on the lake away from it all. Easy commute to Cooperstown and to Dreams Park. Host was wonderful with great communication. House had everything we needed. Would stay there again!

Cooperstown stay

Our son played in the Cooperstown dream Park Little League tournament this last week. We were so excited to stay at this beautiful lake house Property. The location was perfect for us. Far enough away to relax in the peace and quiet and enjoy beautiful mornings on the deck and evenings watching the sun go down. We played in the water, fished off the paddle boards and the deck, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The house was so cute and very clean. They had everything you would need in the kitchen and bathroom, as well. We will definitely be back when we return to Cooperstown and highly recommend staying at this beautiful lake house cottage!

Canadarago Lake Hideaway

A perfect army June week in upstate NY on picturesque Canadarago Lake while my 12 year old son played baseball 20 easy minutes away at the Cooperstown Dreams Park. The owner, Kimberly, was simply fantastic. Maybe the nicest, most attentive and responsive owner I’ve ever rented from on VRBO. The house was perfect for me. A beautiful view out the back windows of Canadarago Lake. A big back porch (w/a serious grill/outdoor kitchen) and steps down to a deck one lake. Quiet and peaceful. 5 stars across the board. Maybe 15 minutes from downtown Cooperstown and the Hall of Fame. Easy drive. Less than 10 minutes to the Lake View Restaurant in Richfield Village or the Buzz Restaurant in Fly Creek. Both gems with great food and service. I hope to bring my entire family back for another stay!

Awesome Stay

Thanks Kim for a GREAT stay. The views of the lake are outstanding as well as the updating of the house. Pictures dont do justice. Great communication with owner as well! We hope to come back and stay at this house when my younger boy plays at Dreams Park in 3 years!!

Clean, modern, comfortable and quiet spot right on the water and nicely setback from civilization. Not too far from other amenities and just a great little lake house.

Lake side getaway

Quick weekend getaway to visit Cooperstown and Cobleskill. Awesome lake views when the weather turned nicer. Cute house well maintained. Kim was very informative to questions we had asked. Overall, a great stay! Thanks, Kim, for offering up your home to us..

Perfect cabin for our family getaway

This cabin exceeded all of our expectations when we traveled to Cooperstown a few weeks ago. The owner was extremely easy to communicate with and checked in with us via text often. The cabin was well stocked and exactly as described. The deck and lake view were one of our favorite parts. Central New York surprised us with it's beauty. The home was very clean and we appreciated that towels were provided. My kiddos swam off the dock and my son fished a few mornings as well. We did run out of toilet paper after a couple of days, but we did have seven people staying in the house so that wasn't shocking. The one thing that wasn't ideal about the property is that it only has one small bathroom. With 7 of us, it took a few days to get used to not being able to use the bathroom immediately at times, but we made it work. The town that the home is located in is close with a very nice grocery store. A few nights we bought burgers and came home to grill them on the amazing grill located on the back deck. We had some gorgeous evening views while we ate. The purpose of this vacation was to watch little league baseball in Cooperstown and we spent most days in town and at the ball diamonds. The house is located about 20 minutes from Cooperstown and about 30 minutes from Cooperstown Dreams Park. We had an amazing time walking around Cooperstown, checking out the Hall of Fame and checking out all the shops and restaurants. A perfect getaway for our baseball loving family!

Perfection

Every aspect of our stay was literally perfect. The house is exactly as advertised- maybe even better in person! Extremely comfortable for a group of 7, including teens who weren’t bored for a second. Lake is clear and great for kayaking, paddle boards, swimming, fishing and floating. Birding was a plus, as nature lovers we were all a bit surprised and excited each day. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway. Host is stellar and communication couldn’t have been better. Easy trips to Cooperstown and Ommegang Brewery (disc golf for teens was a huge hit there!) from the house made for life long memories.

Great property and lake

Having that view for coffee every morning and dinner at night was exactly what we were looking for. Property manager also supplied quite a few of the basic supplies in case you forgot anything. Definitely looking to stay here again

Peaceful Getaway

This was our second stay here and once again it did not disappoint! Kim's place is perfect! The view of the lake is just beautiful! We all enjoyed sunbathing on the deck and then enjoying a quite paddle board ride on the lake. Here home is so cute! Nicely decorated and the perfect size for my family of 4. My MIL came with her sister and there was still plenty of room. We explored the area and just were in awe of it's beauty! Again, just a great place for a relaxing vacation.

Peaceful lakeside retreat

Our family had a wonderful stay at Grey Skye! The home was very clean, and beautifully decorated. The property was well stocked with all that we needed for our basic needs and entertainment. Kim ,the owner, was incredibly easy to communicate with. It was a quick 5 minute drive to the grocery store, and a 20 minute drive to downtown Cooperstown. The views of Lake Canadarago are gorgeous, and the access to the lake was fantastic. We had a great time enjoying the fishing and paddle boards. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Beautiful view of the Lake

The property was beautiful with amazing views. You cannot resist the view of the lake especially in the morning when it’s so quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed every day we where there. Kim, was the best, she made sure our stay was enjoyable and even recommended places to eat and see. She even had the property manager come out right away to help us with the TV because it was not working properly. Best service ever. You will not regret stay here!!!! We will be back next year!

Fantastic Couples Vacation

The cottage was gorgeous, well-appointed and comfortable. There were sweet goodies and a welcome basket upon our arrival. Cleanliness was remarkable. The owner thought of everything, including amenities such as eggs, creamer, milk, shampoo, soap etc. All we needed was a change of clothes! Foliage views from the large windows and deck were amazing! The property situated in a lovely small community was well maintained and a short drive to many activities. We were two couples and stayed for four nights. During the day we had plenty to do. The owner included a binder with wonderful recommendations of restaurants and venues of interest. Our host Kim was accommodating, knowledgeable and attentive in ensuring our stay was enjoyable. We will definitely rent this lovely cottage again. Thank you, Kim and girls, for a lovely stay.

Quaint Lake House with AMAZING Viewss!

We had a great stay at the house! The house was very clean when we arrived and there was even a thoughtful "Welcome" Basket supplied with local goodies for tasting! Kim had the cabinets stocked with essentials and snacks and even had basics in the fridge for us like eggs, cream, waffles etc. which we thought was such a thoughtful touch after a long day of travel. Our two boys enjoyed the board games at the house and liked playing the wooden games on the deck. The views from the upper and lower deck are absolutely breath taking! We are used to ocean and bay life and we fell in love with the slower change of pace of the lake! Our family enjoyed the paddle boards and we even caught crayfish under the rocks by the dock that we had a long with dinner one night. We also loved how the property had 3 parking spaces as this seems unheard of with houses on this lake. There is so much to explore and downtown Cooperstown was awesome! Kim was very responsive and even called me one evening to chat about one of my questions. She was very nice to work with. We are planning on coming back next summer!

Comfortable stay and spectacular views

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was just what we needed. Plenty of space and location was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the paddle boards and the views were just so peaceful! The owner was very responsive and helpful. The kids are already asking to go back!

Lake Canadarago Views

We had a fabulous stay at Kim’s place! The lake views were amazing! The lake itself was so much fun with all that she has for you…paddle boards, kayak, floats and such easy access. The house was nicely done and had many of the amenities needed for a vacation away from home. It was I quiet at night, we loved watching the stars! Cooperstown is a short 20mins away and such a cute town. We will definitely be back!

For over 25 years, my late husband and I would come up to the lake to visit with family who owns a vacation home on the lake. It is so peaceful on the lake, not a lot of boat traffic. In the early mornings there is usually a thick mist on the lake - it makes it look like your just a few steps away from heaven.

The home is newly renovated with upscale amenities (such as a Lynx grill w/ power burner and rotisserie). We have private off the road parking, and the dock is set up that if you wanted to bring in a small boat you can (boat launch less than 5 minutes away).
