Thank you for the wonderful review. This home was a dream of mine for many years while I was in college. I’m so happy to share the experience with others. All of the art on the walls I either collected from my travels or made myself one winter that I (amazingly) had a lot of free time. I was an avid book collector as well. The redwoods forest speaks for itself. Trinidad does all the rest. One of my favorite places in the world and I’m happy you enjoyed it as well. Please come again

Thanks for your review Nicole. We love the convenient location being in the redwoods but also close to town. You can choose to be in the middle of town in just a few minutes or you can retreat at home for some rest and relaxation. I often pop down to do a loop around Trinidad head just before sunset to enjoy the end of the day. Thanks for your stay

Im super happy you enjoyed the house. My home is located in the redwoods and we have creek water as a water source. It is pumped from the creek to holding tanks with 6,000 gallons storage on the hill. This water is gravity fed to a triple filtration system before it enters the house. It is a U/V, carbon and ceramic filtration. This water then enters the house and there is a final extra but not necessary filter for drinking water at the sink. The only thing that can not be filtered out is the tannins resulting in the water from the redwoods that line the creek. This pigmentation is more apparent in the winter with all of the rains. I’m sorry that was an issue for you during your stay. I was unaware of you allergy as well that I was not contacted that this happened for your stay. I could have explained it if you had contacted me. The water is excellent at the house. Just a little natural coloration from being in the redwood forest and remote living.

I am so happy you enjoyed your stay at the Barn. Apologizies for the kitchen roll. We normally have that as an amenity but apparently the housekeeper overlooked it this time. And yes... it was so unusual to have weather this hot on the coast. Its actually quite lucky to get Trinidad on those hot sunny days. We have the fans from a hot spell last year. I had taken the screens off of the windows for when the house was my primary home. I prefer no window screens since normally the windows are closed and i prefer the unobstructed views of the redwoods. I have not had a lot of issues with bugs entering the house. But thanks for mentioning it as perhaps I can re-install them for future guests. I am happy you had a great trip and I hope you come back to trinidad for another family vacation. enjoy summer.
