Just a short drive from St Louis to Bourbon Missouri and you can get away from it all. Located on 40 acres you can enjoy a peaceful property overlooking open meadows, running creek, wildlife and your own spring fed lake. Blue Springs Ranch is close by where you can swim, canoe, horseback ride and enjoy other activities. In Bourbon you will find a coffee shop, restaurants , health food store, bicycle shop, grocery store, and ice-cream parlor and other small town stores. The chateau has a large covered porch where you can view wildlife, watch geese sit on the porch swing or hang out around the fire pit on a cool evening. Take a hike, feed the fish or just relax. A perfect get away, to GetAway.

We had such a great stay! This place was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It would be perfect whether you’re traveling with family or enjoying a girls’ trip. The space was welcoming, clean, and made for a relaxing stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

The house is an amazing place with a peaceful patio and wonderful backyard view. We spent every morning and evening enjoying the sounds and sights of nature and star gazing at night. The beds are so comfortable! The decor is amazing!! Thank you for a wonderful place to get away for a weekend!

My wife and I stayed at The Hidden Gem in 2024, and after we left we couldn't get this beautiful house out of our thoughts. So, two years later, when planning another trip to St. Louis, we knew we had to stay at The Hidden Gen again. The house is so comfortable, with everything one would need to feel at home. But, for us, the highlight is the outdoor space. We loved sitting on the patio every morning drinking coffee, watching the sun come up over the trees and lighting up the pond, while listening to the birds wake up and start singing.And the outdoor fireplace is a perfect place to end the evening while watching the fire slowly burn away while watching the stars appear overhead one by one.Now that we have stayed here twice, we are already talking about when we will go back for a third visit.Thank you Christie for sharing your beautiful property!

This place was amazing. Everything was better than advertised. The porch, firepit, grill veiw and house were great. We went floating at Blue Spring Ranch which is just couple minutes down the road. I believe me and the wife spent most of our time in the porch swing. Only suggestion I would make is if you like sleeping with a fan on you as I do. Maybe bring one for the mater bed room. All the other rooms had ceiling fans. Thats just my personal preference though. The wife was happy I didnt have one freezing here out lol.

If I could leave 10 stars, I would!! This place is truly a safe haven and will forever hold a special place in our hearts. The real hidden gem is the host! Miss Christie and Mr Tracey are incredible people with huge hearts! They were there for us in every way and welcomed us as family when we needed it. If you stay anywhere in all of Missouri, choose this beautiful little cottage. It’s truly a home away from home!
