Our condo, The Gathering Place, is located within Sandpiper Cove. Sandpiper Cove, located on beautiful Holiday Isle in the heart of Destin, is a private gated community only one to two blocks away from the grocery store, drug store, movie theater, variety stores, restaurants, and attractions. In fact, one of Destin's premier restaurants (Louisiana Lagniappe) is on the premises and only steps away from our front door.

Sandpiper Cove Resort offers you more amenities than any other resort on the Emerald Coast, with 43 acres of fun for you and your family! Amenities abound, including boat ramp, marina, docks (Boat Docking on site at additional cost), 24-hour security, six lighted tennis courts, five pools (two heated), three hot tubs, and a FREE 9-hole par 3 golf course.

We offer Free Beach Service set-up that includes two chairs and an umbrella (March-October).three TVs, Free Wi-FI, one DVD player, washer and dryer, central heat/air, and a balcony directly on and overlooking the canal. Park your car at our front door and park your Boat or Jet Ski at our back door.

Don't worry about what you forgot to bring. From beach chairs, sand buckets, coolers, and condiments, we have thought of everything a family like yours may need.

Read a book or watch a movie from our personal selection while the kids fish or crab under the balcony .

Great place by the beach!

We had a great stay. It was a well equipped apartment with everything we needed for a week long stay in Destin. Thanks for sharing your place and having the beach set up provided was a great bonus.

Awesome as always!

This is our second time staying here and we absolutely loved it again. We were able to fish the canal, reserve our beach spot every morning, and cook for our kids with ease. All necessities are there for you. We will definitely stay here again because it’s our favorite place to stay at Sandpiper Cove!

Annual family beach trip

This is our second time staying in this condo we love it! The location is perfect for the beach and everything we love to do when we visit. My favorite is sitting on the back deck in the mornings and evenings. Everything is clean, well taken care of, easy check in and check out. We’ve already starting panning for next year! Highly recommend this condo!

Family Beach Week 2024

We are repeat tenants at this condo because we had such a great experience last time. The hosts made everything so easy and we were very comfortable our entire stay!! This condo has everything you need to kick back and relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The condo was very clean, tidy, and fully equipped. Thanks again for a great week!!!

Great Location and Great Condo

This condo is in a great spot for beach and restaurant access. The condo has a lot of space for a family and is well stocked with helpful items in the kitchen and plenty of beach toys in the closet. Coming here is always a great experience and the owners are easy to communicate with if anything comes up.

Clean, Convenient, and Great Location

We've stayed here for three years straight and have always had a great experience. The condo is clean, quiet, and well-appointed, and the location is convenient to everything we wanted to do while there. The beach setup is a very nice inclusion and being able to get lunch without leaving the beach is a good perk, Rick's Sand Trap is located right on the beach and has good food. This is our favorite place to stay in Destin, a lot to love about it.

Very happy with this condo. Great location in a very quiet area within the resort. Condo was very clean and well stocked (kitchen, beach items, games/books etc). The beach service is a nice touch. The balcony over the canal was a huge hit with our kids. The owners were responsive to deal with

Great Place!

Bruce, we really enjoyed our vacation at The Gathering Place. Your condo was very clean, comfortable, and homey. All the little extras from the kitchen supplies to beach supplies helped make the vacation fun. We really enjoyable watching the boats coming in and out of the canal from the deck. Cute and convenient place!

We really enjoyed staying in your condo! It was conveniently located between all our favorite restaurants and the beach. Everything was fully stocked, the condo perfect for our family. We loved having the back balcony as well. Our girls loved feeding the fish. We even saw a turtle our last morning! We discovered the local market across the street which had an excellent breakfast. We would definitely stay here again!

Great time in Destin

Comfortable condo in a great location. Short drive to shopping and restaurants. Also just a 5-10 min walk to the beach. The daily beach chairs and umbrella set up included was a nice touch. Especially since we flew down and couldn’t bring our own chairs. Also appreciated the closet with other beach items. Overall we had a wonderful time in Destin! Thank you!

Wonderful

We just got back from a week at the Gathering Place. The condo was very clean and had everything you could think of and more. We enjoyed fishing right off the deck. The pool was great, favorite of our kids. The beach is an easy walk, and the chair and umbrella setup was awesome. If you are looking for a good place to eat we loved Harry T's, and Dewey's Destin Seafood. great food and service. The only issue was the noise from the upstairs condo, but that is to be expected.

We’d love to stay here again! It was perfect!

This is probably the best place we’ve stayed at sandpiper cove. This was our fifth time coming to sandpiper cove and the owners had everything you needed. We were able to borrow the sand toys for the kids and fish right off the dock. We were able to cook as needed because they kitchen was well stocked. The check in process was very simple. The beach service was great because we didn’t have to bring our own chairs. The owners were very personable and quick to respond. We were able to use the washer and dryer to wash towels. The walk to the beach every day wasn’t too bad. This was a win win for our family of four.

Everything was perfect!

We come to Destin every year for our family vacation. We decided to stay at this condo because we had stayed at Sandpiper the year before. The condo was fully stocked with everything we would need to stay for a whole week. I love the fact that they had beach chairs and toys so we didn’t have to haul it with us. I also love the fact that this condo came with the free beach set up. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the dishes and plates you need to cook in the condo if you would like. My daughter and her friend enjoyed the “kids room” with two twin beds. I also like the fact that there were lots of games to play and lots of movies to watch! The pool is close by which is fun after the beach! We would definitely stay in this condo again! The owners were very nice and fast at responding !

Great hosts and great condo!

We had to make a few changes with our arrival date because my husband had just developed some physical problems. Michelle and Bruce were very understanding and ALWAYS responded to my emails or calls right away. The condo is right on the canal and you can bring your boat and rent a boat slip for it. The condo was very well stocked with everything like dish soap, paper towels, hand soap, plenty of towels and washcloths, things for the beach and golfing, etc. I loved that the master bedroom had a separate sink and makeup counter along with a bathroom that also had a sink in it. It is great to have two sinks (his and hers). Overall, a wonderful place to stay! Thank you Bruce and Michelle for sharing your condo with us.

Wonderful Stay

We really enjoyed our 2 week stay. Loved the size and location of the condo with balcony overlooking the canal. We loved to toss pieces of bread into the canal and watch the fish frenzy consuming it. It was very roomy for 4 adults and we found very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with all needed appliances, pots, spices, etc. The master bedroom was unusually large. The included beach setup (2 chairs & umbrella) was much enjoyed as was Rick's Sand Trap for lunch and daiquiris. We also took advantage of the par 3 golf course (free, just need a putter and wedge as longest hole was 65 yards). Michelle and Bruce were very accommodating and answered all our questions very quickly. Some minor improvements to consider... - the 2nd bedroom twin beds had hard mattresses which one of our daughters found difficult to sleep on - the clothes washer worked well but was very noisy - we had three different upstairs neighbors during our two week stay and there isn't much sound proofing between the upper and lower unit

Perfect Stay

We have stayed one week in each of the past four years and I cannot tell you how completely satisfied we are with this condo. The location is great, close enough to everything we want to do but not right on the main thoroughfare so you don't have to deal with traffic noise all the time. It's a five-minute walk to the beach or less than 1 minute to the pool. The included beach setup is great, much better than having to do my own setup every day. The condo itself is always very clean and very nicely decorated. There are some beach items in a closet to use if you need them, and there is a selection of rainy day-type activities like DVDs, books, and board games. The kitchen has most things you would need to cook if you choose to do so, and plates, bowls, and cups are available as well. The included washer and dryer make it easy to clean your beachwear when you want, or whatever would need cleaning. There are TVs in each bedroom and the living area, with a good selection of channels. The balcony over the canal is one of my favorite parts, very relaxing at any time, but early mornings and late nights are very nice. You get to see a good assortment of wildlife as well, various fish, a heron, ducks, and even a turtle this year. The owners are great to deal with if you need something, very responsive, and patient with questions. This is the best vacation rental we have found anywhere, very pleased with the whole experience.

Great Location and Relaxing Stay

As always, our visit to this condo was the highlight of the summer. It is a great location, well-appointed, and the hosts are great to deal with when you have questions. We have easy access to everything- close to a pool, a nice restaurant 100 yards away, and the beach is just a short walk.

This Condo Felt Like Home!!

We had a week vacation together with extended family and loved this condo. The entire rental process was easy and seamless!! The condo was very neat and tidy and felt so much like home. My kindle croaked while we were there and I was so thankful for the book selection, because how can you go to the beach and not read?? We had a great time and when we figure out our dates for Summer 2024 we will book this condo again!!
