Really nice property! Really clean, updated and great communication from the host. The layout is very open and unique, and the view is really nice for a relaxing night on any of the multiple patios with the view of the canal visible from any of them. Quiet neighborhood and easy drive to Chincoteague to hang out and explore a cool little town. We came from almost 7 hours away for a long getaway weekend and will definitely be staying here again when we come back to the area. Highly recommend.

A beautiful and well stocked house in a great location! We enjoyed the dock and the kayaks. It was a 30 minute drive from Chincoteague, Nick, the owner, was very responsive. We had a wonderful stay- highly recommend!

The host was great - very responsive! The house is interesting and unique. Well decorated (with some fun details), great location, and we especially enjoyed the kayaks (expected musty lifejackets but they looked new). The floorplan is a bit odd. There's no master bedroom and bath but it worked fine for us. The only cons - we couldn't figure out how to login to the TV (& we're fairly tech savvy) and the windows overlooking the canal needed a good cleaning (and they're readily accessible). Lastly, at the price point, there should have been free amenity passes provided, if only a couple. Overall, I would recommend this home for your stay.

What a stunning view and super welcoming host!! We loved our stay and especially enjoyed the kayaks and bikes, great welcome kit of toiletries and kitchen supplies, very comfortable beds and soft sheets, outdoor space to watch the stars, and quiet, peaceful neighborhood.

This is a unique home with beautiful views! The amenities were wonderful, the home was so clean, and Nick was great with checking in to make sure everything was good. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice, on the water property

The Captain’s Roundhouse was a great place to spend a relaxing week. The view is terrific and the kitchen is newly renovated.

The Property was very well-maintained and accommodating, with most everything you could need. This made the stay much simpler and more enjoyable. The dock and kayaks were a great addition to the fun.

We loved our stay here! The view was incredible, the house was so cozy and beautifully decorated! The host was so easy to communicate with and answered every question and inquiry promptly! We would definitely stay again!

Amazing Stay

The roundhouse was amazing on many levels, figuratively and literally. There are many creature, comforts throughout this sprawling home and the views were serene and relaxing, and the couches and beds were comfy! And the host was very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend would definitely stay here again.

chincoteague hideaway

perfect for a stay in chincoteague. easy access to all the tourist spots while being secluded from the crowds. Nick was a perfect host and all was set up to be amazingly comfortable and enjoyable.
