Lakefront Cottage on South Manistique Lake

Escape to South Manistique Lake in this 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home located just outside of downtown Curtis. Wonderful lake view with 200 feet of frontage to enjoy.
Master bedroom has a queen bed and attached bathroom. It also has great lake views and walk-in closet for storage. Bedroom 2 has another queen bed with large closet and lake view. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds with a walk-in closet and a roll-a-way bed if needed.

Open floor plan with fully stocked kitchen to fulfill all your cooking needs. Large TV in living room with Roku for guest log-in. Washer and dryer available in closet by the kitchen.

Enjoy peaceful days on the deck overlooking the lake followed by roasting marshmallows at the fire pit at night. Take a tour of the bay with the three kayaks and two paddle boards or try out the great fishing the lake offers. Bird watchers will enjoy the regular pursuits of the Kingfishers that perch in trees by the water or the regular visits from a variety of ducks, geese, Loons, and occasional Osprey and Bald Eagle sightings. Watch the woods at the front of the house for daily deer activity among other wildlife. Great location for stargazing and also near hiking and snowmobile trails.

If you are looking to explore, we recommend area attractions such as Tahquamenon Falls, Kitch-iti-kipi (Michigan’s largest spring), Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore, Seney National Wildlife Refuge, Oswald’s Bear Ranch, Garlyn Zoo Wildlife Park, or rock hounding in Grand Marais.

Very Pleasant and Relaxing

Awesome Family vacation

This place is awesome. Beautiful home, well kept, clean. They have everything you could need and want, and the use of the kayaks and row boat are an awesome addition. Nice quiet and a beautiful view of the lake. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend this place.

Snowmobiling trip 2023

This was a great trip! Even with the lack of snow we were able to utilize the lake for ice fishing. The home was clean and spacious. We had a great time!

Beautiful and clean! Great hosts!

We had a great stay at this property. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved having the option of using the kayaks and row boat as well. The location is pretty centrally located and within an hour of Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, Kitch-iti-Kipi and Oswald’s Bear Ranch. The hosts were kind and super responsive to my questions. Overall this was an amazing place to stay and we would highly recommend it to other families!

Nice stay, good central location

House was in a good location. View was beautiful. House was very clean and well stocked. We were disappointed that you could not fish from shore because it’s too shallow and we were informed that the pier would be taken down after we had already paid. You can’t launch the row boat from the shore either due to it being so shallow. So we weren’t able to use the boat either.

Great Getaway!

This home made our vacation so much better! We were so impressed with everything that is available in the home and how well everything was stocked! There was also more than enough room for everyone(4). We loved that this home was only 1 hour away from some great hiking spots, and Pictured Rocks and Tahquamanon Falls! The colors were amazing, it was like it was peak when we were there! Overall this was a great home and vacation. I would definitely stay here again!

A little slice of heaven

This place was amazing! The sunrises were stunning! The fire pit was great for relaxing after a long day of adventures. The kayaks were a added bonus. The place was super clean. The host went way above and beyond making sure all our questions and concerns were taken care of. The location was great for everywhere we wanted to go. We were so pleased with everything. Stay here and you will find your little slice of heaven. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your home!

Perfect for family lake vacation!

This was the absolute perfect place to stay for our family. The yard was gently sloped to a sandy shore so that the kids (2, 5, 7 years old) were able to easily and safely play in the water. We could even see them playing from the kitchen and living room inside the house. The dock was awesome for bringing our boat. We had a great time fishing and boating. We could not believe how well stocked the house was. They had everything you could possibly need, and more. The downtown area nearby had some nice little shops and great ice cream. We did one day trip to Mackinaw City which was really nice, but mostly, we just hung out at the house and on the lake. We would 100 percent book this place again!

Awesome property

This was the first time out family was in the UP and this was a perfect location. We were in driving distance of everything we wanted to see. Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, Mackinaw City were all within and hours drive. The house was well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. Everything was very clean and the checkout instructions were very easy to follow. There were several games to chose from as well. My son's loved having kayaks available and the row boat was a fun surprise. They caught a couple fish from the kayaks. We would recommend this rental to everyone.

A Wonderful House for a Quiet Getaway

We stayed here in June 2023 and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The check-in process was extremely easy and we really appreciated utilizing the electronic door lock instead of having to keep track of a door key. The property was easy to find thanks to the host’s directions (do not follow Google/Apple Maps). The new dock was a great surprise and allowed us to do some fishing and even see a bald eagle fly overhead! The lake was extremely quiet and peaceful. The house was incredibly clean and all of the appliances looked new and worked great. Overall the house was wonderful and did not seem like a rental as it was so well maintained. We absolutely would stay here again!

Perfect Experience

We booked this beautiful place for a 3 night stay. We brought our 3 children ages 7, 5, and almost 2. We loved how close we were to the water and the best part was it was only about 2 to 3 feet deep for a good 30 yards out into the lake. With swimmies on, it made me feel much more comfortable letting the kids play as much as they wanted in the water with us close by. There's a small sandy beach right into the water and the sand is so soft! An added bonus was the free kayaks waiting in the shed for us to use and paddle throughout the lake with. The house was beautiful and well stocked. We like to cook lunch and dinner to help save money and the house had everything we needed. If we decided to eat out, there were plenty of options in the little town of Curtis including the local ice cream shop that the kids insisted we visit every evening. The location of the house also worked well for us to get to all of the attractions we wanted to see in a short drive. We were very pleased with our experience and hope to visit again in the future.

best stocked vacation home we have ever stayed in. everything was clean and the view of the lake was just 20 yards outside of the large living area with floor to ceiling windows. highly recommend

Fall color trip
