You will be close to everything when you stay at the Loon Call Cottage on South Manistique Lake in Curtis. Peaceful mornings sitting lakeside. The snowmobile trail is directly across the street for easy access. Enjoy the short walks into Curtis. Summer fun on the lakefront, fall colors, and snowmobiling/ ice fishing in the winter wonderland. Our cottage offers the comforts of home while your explore all the U.P. has to offer. Come stay with us and begin your adventure.

Very nice place . Nice view of water. Beds are comfortable and great shower..Host very quick to respond to messages. Stayed in contact throught out stay. Made sure everything was going good .Gave great recommendations about things to see/do in the area and food options. Check in/out very easy and simple. Will definitely consider staying here again

Our favorite part about this property was that the lake was great to cool off and hangout! It was crystal clear with a sandy bottom (no mud, muck, or weeds) and we stepped in right from the rocks at the edge of the grass. It was shallow and the water temperature was very comfortable. The cabin itself was very clean, well taken care of, and was stocked with everything we needed.

Relaxing stay

We enjoyed our stay here! Especially loved being that close to the water and how peaceful it is in the area. Was a great middle point location to hit some of the scenic tourist spots.

Awesome cottage! Beds are super comfortable. Clean, modern but rustic, has everything you need and is located in a cute little lake village. The kayaks are a nice touch and a fire by the lake is always a treat. The owner communicates very well and the cottage is very welcoming. I would stay there again!

Great location to visit many of the east UP national & state parks! The cottage is cute, the bed was comfortable & the view of the lake was so peaceful!

This house is in a beautiful location. There are kayaks available for use and if the weather had been more conducive, we would have used them. There is easy access to the lake and there is a lovely view from the living room windows. The house was clean, the kitchen is not large but adequate, and there is a washer and dryer available for use.

Nice getaway!

The property was exactly as described and perfect for what we needed! We really enjoyed the lake and the kayaks! The host was responsive and friendly. If we ever travel back to the UP we will definitely book this cottage again! Thanks for having us!

Great Lake Cottage

We loved the cottage, it was clean, had a washer and dryer(big plus with kids), lake was just out the door with sandy bottom. Had everything we needed for cooking. Great location to visit several attractions. Owner responded promptly when we had a minor problem. Great place! Would rent again

Slice of Heaven, pt II

This is our second stay at the Loon Call, and it once again served as the perfect Eastern UP vacation hub. The lakefront location is phenomenal, and Sven’s well appointed cottage has everything we would want in a vacation getaway. As the title suggests, it doesn’t get much better than this!

Great getaway!

Amazing location to get away. House was spectacular. Very Comfy beds. Perfect seating near the back windows which are overlooking the lake, great to relax after a day of fishing and adventuring. Host was very informative and prompt. Everything you could want in a host and a vacation rental. We will be back!

Great location and neat as a pin!

The cottage was perfect for a quick visit. Upon arrival, the place was very clean. The beds were comfortable. Internet speed was excellent. Loved the fire pit by the lake! Unfortunately did not have time to fish. Location is perfect to access several UP attractions. Highly recommend!

UP Snowmobile Trip

Cozy lakeside cottage. Very clean and well maintained. Good location to snowmobile out of as tail is right across the street. Parking with trailers can be a little tricky but we we’re able to make it work. Great place and great hosts. Thanks for letting us use your cottage!

This property was absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. It has everything we needed and the view of the lake was incredible! The only thing we didn’t like was the spiders on the outside of the cabin and just inside the entry door. We had to knock down LOTS of webs and spiders just to enter and then kill about 8 of them in the entry. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Snowmobiling Trip

Very nice cabin. Very cozy vibe. We went for snowmobiling, the location wasn't "Great" for that because you had to ride a lot of roads to get to various trails. BUT the cabin was clean, cozy, and quiet. We didn't stay long and wasn't in the cabin often, but we definitely enjoyed our stay. The Moose Du Nord (which was inside the welcome book) was an AMAZING suggestion and the owner of that place was a great/hospitable guy.

Thanks for the great review. Just to clarify, the designated snowmobile trail is the side/ shoulder of the road (Main Street) in our location (Curtis).
