Welcome to BEACHSIDE BLISS…Your rustic, charming coastal escape awaits! Watch the sunrise as you sip your favorite cup of coffee under the pines in Adirondack chairs, play amongst the waves or in shell filled tide pools which are perfect for little ones. Spend the day with family and friends or relaxing alone as you soak up the rays, stroll along the beach, read a book, kayak or fish. Savor your time inside enjoying the gulf breeze or the wrap around porch. Serve a family style meal of freshly caught or freshly bought seafood at the large dining table. Enjoy the sunset over a tropical drink, then marvel at the celestial body above as you have never seen it before. Drift off to sleep as you listen to the waves and the wind in the palms.

The kitchen and downstairs bathroom have been recently renovated. There are all Queen beds in this 3BR/2B home. The home can sleep 10-12! Covered parking is available for 2 cars. The house is a smoke free environment. For added connivence and comfort, there are 2 refrigerators, a washer and dryer and cable TV.

When you decide you need a beach break, more fun can be had in near by Panacea (Gulf Specimen Marine Lab and Aquarium, dinner overlooking the Ochlockonee River at Angelo’s Restaurant, local seafood at My Way Seafood), Carabelle (Camp Gordon Johnston WW2 Museum, Crocked River Lighthouse, shopping and a grocery store), St, George Island (St. George Island Lighthouse, Journeys of St. George Island for kayak rentals and seaside charters and educational experiences, dining and shopping), and Apalachicola (a place to view historic homes, The Gibson Inn, The Maritime Museum, bay tours, a variety of restaurants, and search for antiques or in vogue clothing and home accessories.

This house is situated perfectly with a shady yard leading to the beach which was virtually private. The house and porch are welcoming and comfortable. The beds and bedding are beyond comfortable!

House was clean. Location was perfect for us. We had family over one night to visit and swim. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking implements. Dishwasher worked well. Washer and dryer worked well. Rooms were comfortable. Living room was well suited. TVs worked.

Beachside Bliss

The sun rises and sun sets on the beach are beautiful. The house was clean and well maintained. Friendly people and just a short car ride to get to restaurants, etc.

Relaxing destination!

We loved how rural this location is. Very private! Only thing it was missing was a pizza cutter LOL. Would recommend this location to anyone looking for a non touristy location!

Secluded Paradise Piont of View was Definitely on Point.

Best Family stay vacation Home in the area, even though there is other homes close this place feels secluded and is Absolutely Wonderful , beach access is great, very kid/infant friendly , shell searching is the best. This really makes you relax just like you are in your own home! Loved everything about Point of View.

Amazing location

What an awesome property. The walk to the beach short and the beach was wonderful. Very private beach with white sand made for a perfect family getaway. The water was shallow enough for the kids to play with no worries and the water was very calm. Low tide was super cool to walk out on the sand bar. The house was perfect for our family and the swing on the porch was super relaxing. Double fridges was huge with groceries being 20-30 minutes away. Looking forward to hopefully staying next time we visit the area.

Just about perfect

Wonderful house and location. We've gone to the coast at least 2x per year for the past 40 years, but always stayed on St. George Island. This was our first time at St. Theresa and it exceeded our expectations. We plan to make this place our new go-to. The house was well stocked and super clean. Our only wish is that it had more comfortable furniture in the living room area. A box fan on the porch is also a must in the summer. Overall, this place was fantastic.

Safe beach for young children

If you're looking for a clean "old house" with a beautiful beach this is it. We had read reviews on the condition of the home so knew what was expected. The water has heavy iron/minerals and will make your light colored clothing stain yellowish orange and it smells bad so bring lots of water for drinking and making coffee etc... All the family enjoyed spending time together every evening on the back porch in the rocking chairs. We would definitely consider coming back.

St Teresa

We really enjoyed our stay at Beachside Bliss. The beach was outstanding except for all the dogs running loose. The fishing wasn't too bad. We caught as many catfish as we cared to but also a giant redfish and some some black sea bass. House was nice. A little small for our group of 12 teenagers and adults in the evening when it was cool (because it was too cold out on the porch) Also the one shower was well used. The porch was a great place to have our meals and the kitchen was decently stocked. We bought most of seafood at My Way Seafood in Panacea. They were outstanding!

Making Memories with Memories…

As my sibling put it “ it’s like a setting in a Nicholas Sparks book” It was private and secluded! Cozy and comfy! The beds were great! The kitchen was stocked well! Only complaint no curtains in the bathroom. The cushions on the living room furniture needs replaced. Not comfortable at all. But because we were together with our brothers and sisters, we were able to overlook that! Also we all grew up close by and some haven’t been in the area for years so the reunion was amazing and this sweet little gem of a place was enjoyable overall!! Thank you for sharing it with us!

Slice of Paradise

My family and I were in awe of this beautiful slice of paradise. When weren’t enjoying the practically private beach with its fun sandbars and marine life, we were relaxing in one of the rocking chairs or swing on the porch with beautiful views of the palm trees and coast line. Every meal was enjoyed at the porch table with a nice summer breeze (most of the time). While the home itself is older, we felt right at home. Our only complaint was the water coming out of the faucets was heavy with iron and turned our nails and towels orange. Maintenance was called a few days into our trip to check for a filter that may need replacing. This issue was never resolved while we were there. But overall, our stay was great and we are always talking about staying here again next summer.

Rundown and dirty

This place is rundown and dirty. The photos in the discription must be 5+ years old. There is no Wi-Fi. The driveway is nearly impassible because of the overgrowth. The house is full of spiderwebs and the floors have not been washed in some time. The provided kitchenware is a joke, everything is warped and peeling. Don't waste your money.

A Place to Breathe Deeply

This is our 2nd stay at Point of View, and I hope for many more. This place is only for people who value a natural and private setting over luxurious modern amenities. That’s what the name means! Sitting on the porch is like looking out from your own private island. Nothing but shading trees, sparkling clean ocean, sand bars speckled with feeding shorebirds, wind through the pines and rustling the palms, waves breaking gently on the shore, and sparkling stars at night. The most perfect porch for a rain storm. The beds are so comfortable and well placed for all night sea breezes if you open the front and back windows. The kitchen has been pleasantly remodeled and opens to a gorgeous antique plank table that easily seats 8 or more for outdoor dining. I love that the owners pay such close attention to retaining the old Florida beach cottage character with their updates. So many homes lose their character in exchange for modern updates. Our ONLY complaint was the loss of the outdoor shower! With children and playful adults we worried constantly about sand collecting in the drains. The agents were immediately responsive and accommodating to our needs. We feel grateful to know about this unique and exceptional experience.

A Fine Point of View

This place is like taking aa deep breath and letting it out slowly... absolutely stunning view of the ocean, spacious, open, wraparound porches, dappled shade from the tree canopy, complete privacy thanks to the understory left on either side of the house, perfectly architectured for blow-through breezes, or close it all except the front doors to keep the wind out but hear the ocean waves. It would have gotten all 5 stars except it was a struggle to get the key out of the lock, to open the Frnch doors fully (as noted by other guests), and there was quite a bit of sand on the porch floors when we arrived. Seeing how wet the outdoor porch floors got in the sea fog most of the days/nights we stayed there, as in everything dripping, I expect it would be hard to get the wet floors very clean. We did find we needed more rugs (by each bed and a longer one between the beachside screen door and the entry to the living room) and blankets (we slept with the windows open) than were provided, and had a late-arriving guest bring more. Otherwise, the house was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We brought our own firewood, charcoal (but you don't need lighter bc they provie a lighter chimney), and beach towels, as directed. The water was delicious straight from the kitchen faucet, not sure why the reviews say it isn't, maybe a afilter was installed? Loved the outdoor shower, although water stands in it and can't drain till about an inch or so deep, so we just added a brick platform to stand on. This house is an old Florida beach house gem, and so delightfully private and natural. Kudos to the owners for keeping the architecture true to the original design.

Spring Break 2021

We stayed for 8 days, and overall had a great stay. The house is secluded and the driveway down to the house is like driving through a jungle, so awesome! Upon arrival, the cleaning crew was still there, but they finished up quickly. There was also quite a bit of building materials out front from the roof repairs that are being done. The roofers did show up one day and left as soon as they realized we were there. The house is older- it has all the smells that come with that. The water is nonpotable, we bought several cases of bottled water.. we definitely used that for drinking, cooking and brushing our teeth. The outside trash bin was nearly full when we got there, and we never were able to get that resolved. There is plenty of room, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable! Everyone loved that the ocean was visible from their bedrooms. We also appreciated the extra fans. The layout was different than what we expected; two bedrooms and 1 bathroom are upstairs and the stairs to that are outside in the screened porch. One bedroom and the main bathroom with the shower are downstairs. That bathroom's access is from the screened porch. The oven's heating element looked like it was about to fall off, but still worked great for french fries and smashed potatoes. This house definitely isn't stocked up with the basics, so plan ahead for that.. We were surprised that there were no beach towels. Luckily we knew ahead of time and packed them. There also weren't beach toys, so we bought a variety of boogie boards and other toys for our kids to enjoy the beach with. We did leave those and hope that other kiddos will enjoy them as much as ours did! The porch and the beach were where we spent the majority of our time, it was absolutely amazing!! Dolphins swim by every day, we really enjoyed that! There were so many other living things- crabs, jellyfish, starfish, fish, birds, etc. It was very cool to see everything! Carrabelle is a short drive and a cute little town! They had a well stocked Dollar General and the World's Smallest Police Station. St George Island is a short day trip where we did the lighthouse (a must see!). We also did a fishing charter with Capt Rudy Gay, he was the best! The Gulf Specimen Aquarium and Hamaknockers BBQ are close by and worth a visit. This was truly the best trip, we loved ALL of it, the good and the bad! We wanted a beachhouse to make memories we will never forget and it did not disappoint!

New favorite

Wonderful! We loved our stay at Point of View, and will definitely be back. The house was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 4 kids under 5. The beach is perfect for kiddos with plenty of beach toys there at the house. There were a few issues since it is an older house, but nothing that was a huge inconvenience, and the property managers were easy to get ahold of and quick to respond.

A week in old paradise

Couldn't express more how much we enjoyed this little hidden gem. We are into old Florida and this certainly disappoint. We will be back for sure.

The best location

What an amazing location, the best beach, so good for the little ones to play, the beach is very shallow, right in front of the house, with beautiful views. Loved the porch and swing, the windows helped to keep the noise away. The kitchen is well equipped and has lots of room in the bedrooms. They have beach chairs, boards, and a small umbrella (the big one was broken). Not so many channels and tv options and the Internet connection wasn't good but we didn't care, lots of other things to do, puzzles and books to read. Neighbors weren't close, very private location. Thank you so much for sharing your house and for helping us to make memories. Hope we can come back next year.
