Annual Guys Ski Trip

Cozy getaway

The property was easily accessible with convenient parking. The property was clean and had a well equipped kitchen that allowed us to prepare several meals. MaryKate also provided some delicious locally roasted coffee that we really enjoyed. If you're looking for a quite, centrally located getaway in Grand Marais, this is a great option. I would definitely stay here again!

Awesome Place!

This home was amazing! It was super clean and well stocked with quality furnishings, kitchen items and artwork. It was great to have a 24/7 view of Lake Superior and the harbor. We were within walking distance to everything in Grand Marais. We had a great stay!

Perfect!

Ok, some of the perfection was 2 days of sunny 60+ degree weather in mid October. If you like being within walking distance but in your own building (there is a renter or someone on the other side, but only heard when leaving out the front door), then this place is it. If you like the view out on the lake, the sunrise view from the big front window and the comfort of the couch, chairs and beds, then this place is it. If you like the huge fire pit and delicious steaks cooked on it as well as the smoked fish house within view, then this is the place. My wife and I as well as another couple stayed. I didn't look at the pictures close enough to see that you have to walk through 1 room to get to the other. But the bathroom with doors to the bathroom as well as between the rooms make the inconvenience of that very minimal. Will stay there again.

Charming stay indeed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this thoughtfully appointed and conveniently located cottage. Large windows provided an excellent view of the entrance to Grand Marais harbor.

Amazing!!

What a perfect location. We loved the view from the house and the close proximity to all the downtown businesses. The place was clean and we loved the small details added to the house. Highly recommend ❤️

Wonderful Stsy in Grand Marais

The house in Grand Marais is even more charming than the description! Everything went very smoothly. The house is well equipped and the location is great. We enjoyed several campfires in the yard. I’d love to come back!

Wonderful Host, Great Location

The location is excellent! The host is wonderful! The house was very clean and comfortable. The host provided coffee and a bottle of sparkling water as well as a lot of little extras to make the stay enjoyable. The only negatives were the road noise and truck fumes that sometimes came in through the open windows facing the street during the day. The house was also quite warm since there is no air conditioning. The host did provide fans to help with the heat. We enjoyed our stay!! Thank you!

Perfect location to enjoy grand marais

The view from the comfortable living room was fantastic. We spent evenings around the fire pit. The home is compact, but fully appointed. We had everything we needed and loved the extra touches like the vase of fresh flowers. Plus it was close to everything with a great restaurant across the street.

Everything was wonderful! Maykate was lovely, very welcoming. The space was fantistic! Walked everywhere. Food was great, everywhere, including. Angry Trout, Hlppee Tacos, Blue Water Cafe, Java cafe! Just a few. We enjoyed the area. Stunning views! Peaple were friendly, THIGHLY recamended!!! Thank your your hosptality!

The house was everything we expected and the neighborhood was very nice. The best was being right on the harbor and being a short walk to the lake, shopping and restaurants.

Great welcome by owner, prompt response when had a question. Easy walking distance to downtown shops and places to eat. Easy driving distance to many sites. Enjoyed our stay. Was mentioned that it would be nice to have a bar in shower

Great place to stay in Grand Marais

We really enjoyed our stay here. It has a great view of the harbor and everything in Grand Marais is in within easy walking distance. The house was clean and was beautifully decorated. There were plenty of towels and robes (which were a nice touch). Beds were comfortable. The living room is spacious has a lot of comfortable seating to enjoy views of the harbor while sipping coffee or reading a book. There is a nice fire pit which the host had ready for us upon arrival. We had an issue with one of the automatic blinds upon our arrival which they addressed and fixed immediately. The only reason I have gave it 4 and not 5 stars is because the house is right on 61 and certain times of the day the traffic was noisy, It gets quiet after 10pm and gets busy after 8am. That said it is a very nice place to stay and if a little traffic noise doesn't bother you I would recommend staying here. My husband and I would definitely stay here again.

Idyllic Location, View and Stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at this super well-appointed, designed and laid out home. Our family makes an annual trip up to Grand Marais and we spent 5 nights there. Waking up and opening the blinds to the beautiful view of the harbor and lighthouses was one of the highlights of my trip this year. This place is very comfy and provides you with everything you need for your stay. And yes, location is perfect! Short block walk from downtown shops and restaurants. Host was welcoming and accommodating. Loved it!

Charming cottage in a great location!

Nicely appointed cottage. MaryKate provided some charming extras...robes, flowers, sparkling water and firewood for outdoor fire pit. Cottage is a short walk from downtown and right across street from nice restaurants. Bonus was access to lovely bike/walking path..the Gitchi-Gami trail ...right out front door! We will stay here again on our next visit to the North Shore! from An

Perfect Summer Getaway

This place is so cute, clean and the perfect location in Grand Marais. It had everything our family of four needed for a long weekend. Ideal Location & Great Layout

We were in town with our extended family and this VRBO was wonderful. We were able to set up the back bedroom for our 6mnth old to sleep/nap in while back to relax in the front living room or outside by the fire. We were also able to host our extended family over for some smores and hot dogs over the camp fire. The location is right on the edge of the commercial district and has the same ease of getting around as anywhere else in town. We also got to meet MaryKate when checking in which was a nice touch to learn a little bit more about the accommodations and whom we were renting from. Traffic noise was an initial concern but was a complete non-issue. Would stay here again without any hesitation!
