Lovely spot in the little village of Chester, VTIf a enjoy quilts check out the stunning quilter Linda Diak studio across the street from the inn.

Nice calm stay

After a long month of work I needed a weekend in VT to calm the nerves. This was a beautiful spot to be in, glad I was here!

Perfect easy and conveniently located

Was really easy to get in, place was warm and inviting. East walk to multiple restaurants huge fireplace in hang out room. Great coffee

Lovely inn! Original wide floorboards throughout. No vinyl or pergo. Furnishings very comfortable; not cluttered or dusty. Flexible helpful proprietors!

The owners have done a good job of making the property special. Unfortunately, the first floor rooms are next to the house's front door, which was extremely noisy as it is the only way to access the house. If you stay, keep that in mind. Guests were entering and exiting between midnight and sun-up, and the noise prevented me from getting descent sleep.

Great room

We had a great stay. Everything we needed was there. Only issue was I couldn't do anything with VRBO on my cell. I signed in and found no links to the property information. AND, plenty of advertising to book another trip. Had to go to the local library to fire up my computer so that we could communicate with the host, Tyler. He was awesome and responded to all my communication promptly. We will be back.

stay was ok

House is OLD and needs attention. Bed was uncomfortable. Windows had plastic covering and were not shut and not locked. The tub needs to be regrouted. Water damage everywhere.

Out of order

Booked this room for our anniversary. I should have backed out when the Expedia description of a private venue was different than the Vrbo description of a shared venue. Description did say that the fireplace would be repaired 2/16. It was not. Jetted tub? Big old ‘out of order’ on that too. Paid a premium rate for premium features, but they were broken.

Hi Brian! We're so sorry you didn't enjoy your stay! Expedia and VRBO are owned by the same company, so the description of the listing should have been the same information - pointing out that the building is an Inn. The fireplace is brand new, and was working during your stay. We did not receive any communication from you that you were having difficulties starting the fire place. If we had, we would have helped you with it (just an "on/off" switch on the remote). The jets in the tub were out of order, which was in the description in the listing, the bathtub is in working order. It's disappointing to know that you did not enjoy staying, but we cannot fix any issues that you had if you don't communicate them to us to get fixed.
