Deer Crossing Farmhouse is the ideal home base for family gatherings, multigenerational trips, and reunions in the Finger Lakes! Sleeping up to 10 across 4 bedrooms plus a bonus sleeper sofa, the layout offers flexibility for every generation - a first-floor bedroom and full bathroom keep you off the stairs to the second floor, while a second living room upstairs gives teens or couples their own space to spread out. Please note: there are 3 steps between the entrance/kitchen and the first-floor bedroom, so the home isn't fully step-free. We've got you covered for the youngest guest too, with a pack n play on hand.

Close to Ithaca, Cornell, SUNY Cortland, Greek Peak, state parks, waterfalls, wineries, and breweries...everything the Finger Lakes has to offer! Centrally located, just 15 mins to Ithaca & 10 mins to Cortland.

Our four bedrooms feel like home, from luxury mattresses with cotton linens. Windows in each room let in natural light, while room darkening shades and sound machines help to ensure a restful sleep. You’ll also find toss pillows, throws, and mirrors in each room.

We stayed over the weekend for Cornell Parent Weekend with 9 people, adults and kids included. Everyone had ample space to move around and the teens especially enjoyed the basketball court; they even came back and played a game at 9:30pm. Would definitely stay here again for next year's parent day as well.

The house was perfect for our stay. So many fun outdoor activities provided. We enjoyed the hot tub and darts the most! The house was very clean and is well stocked with towels, toiletries, soaps, etc. We visited Cornell University while here and it was very convenient. Highly recommend staying here.

Great weekend getaway!

Good location for our group. Close enough to Greek Peak for the skiers and close enough to Ithaca and wineries. Plenty of room in the house, kitchen well stocked and tastefully decorated. We would stay here again!

This was the perfect getaway. We really enjoyed using the dining room table for puzzles, the hot tub for relaxing, the kitchen for shared meals, and the comfy beds. Our host was super nice and helpful. We would love to to stay here again in warmer weather so that we could enjoy the outdoor amenities more.

Beautiful and fun place! Was large enough for everyone and had lots of things to do at the home! Clean and comfortable! Owner was communicative and friendly. Would 100% go again, even if we didnt have an event around that area!

Our stay was fabulous. The house is a little far (20 min drive from town) but everything else was amazing. Property is very cute with excellent amenities (the hot tub was the highlight). Also everything we needed was there (Keurig, utensils, shampoo, etc). Host was very responsive and helpful. Will definitely stay here again!!

Weekend with friends

Everything was great…outdoor bar and fire pit are perfect for hanging out with friends/family..and the hot tub is icing on the cake!

Perfect stay

The house had everything we needed to keep the kids busy and the adults entertained. Beds were comfy and everything was clean. The host was very fast to communicate with any questions we had. Very accommodating!

Great Experience

My wife and I rented this home together with my brother and his wife, and we had a fantastic time here! We loved the games in the barn, the hot tub was such a nice addition, as well as the pickleball (the Nintendo is from another century and doesn't work very well). The only issue we had was that we didn't have any fire starter (lighter fluid, firestart, etc), as it had recently rained and any twigs we could find were wet (there's plenty of firewood, which we kept dry from the rain). The host is very respectful and communicative. It was a fantastic trip!

Peaceful stay with outdoor fun!

We had a great stay! The house was clean, spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. It was close enough to the city for convenience, but far enough for peace and quiet. We especially enjoyed the outdoor activities—games in the barn, pickleball, and basketball added so much fun. The owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Great farmhouse, very relaxing, lots of outdoor fun

We had a great family trip with kids of all ages. House was as advertised, well located to all local attractions, but very quiet and relaxing. Plenty of room and spaces, with the highlight being the outdoor area with all sorts of games, hot tub and fire pit. All got lots of use. Would recommend.

Cozy wholesome stay

We loved the property instantly. The whole house was really clean and tidy. We used the hot tub, it was clean and very enjoyable. The sheets, room were tidy and gave a real cozy feeling. We used the BBQ too. Had a great time’

Perfect getaway!

This property was perfect for a friends getaway weekend near Ithaca. It only 20 minutes from Ithaca and 45 minutes to the wineries west of Cayuga lake. The house was extremely clean, well decorated, and had all of the amenities needed. Deidre was a very accommodating and responsive host. Highly recommend!

Family getaway

The home was exactly as described and a lovely place to gather with our adult children. We were a short drive from Ithaca, several wineries, and any number of beautiful hikes, and the house itself had plenty of fun activities for everyone - a nice yard for flag football, darts, a fire ring, hot tub, games, and karaoke! We're looking forward to coming back when the pickleball court is finished!

Comfortable country stay

We only stayed two days but we would have loved to stay more! The house is a unique layout with plenty of space for a family to spread out if needed. The beds were comfortable and the soft blankets on each bed were appreciated. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit in the backyard. The house is in a beautiful, quiet country neighborhood and an easy drive to hike beautiful Buttermilk Falls and to explore the surrounding area.

Nice Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Deer Crossing Farmhouse! It is such a charming, warm home and was the perfect spot for our friend group + 2 year old to spend some time away. A short drive to downtown Ithaca, wineries, state parks, and activities for the little one. The host was very communicative and accommodating. The house was extremely clean and well maintained and we appreciated the small touches that made us feel extra welcome. Definitely recommend this listing!

Ski Weekend at Greek Peak

House was very clean and well stocked with essentials that makes it so nice when renting a property. They supplied all of the linens, towels, shampoo etc. The property manager (Deidre) checked in with us prior to our stay and gave us great check in instructions and also checked in with us during our stay to ensure all was well. The weather did not cooperate for our ski weekend as it was quite warm and barely any slopes were open, but we made the best of it by visiting the town of Ithaca, 10 -15 minutes away. We also visiting some beautiful falls and some vineyards along the lake and had a nice massage at Greek Peak Mountain.

Fun Out in the Country

This place is a no-brainer for friend get togethers or large families. There’s plenty of space and plenty to do. The house is clean and the property has something for everybody. My friends and I especially loved the barn and the fire pit area. Despite the cooler temperatures in October, we basically spent our entire nights outside playing darts, watching football and chilling by the firepit (kudos for providing plenty of firewood). For those who may want to do the same, we brought our own smart TV to set up in the barn. The WiFi is good enough from the house. We would definitely stay here again.

We live in the Hudson Valley with our two kids, but love to visit the Ithaca area! We are drawn to the Finger Lakes region for different reasons...my husband graduated from Cornell while the countryside outside of Ithaca reminds me of Ireland where I spend many summers as a child visiting family. When in the area with our kids, we spend time at the lake, visiting state parks, bike riding, fly fishing, skiing and snowshoeing.

The location is perfect for us—just 10 minutes to Cayuga Lake for summer activities, 15 minutes to Ithaca and Cornell, 20 minutes to Taughannock State Park where we enjoy hiking, swimming, and the playground, and 20 minutes to Greek Peak for skiing in the winter, or the waterpark and adventure center year-round. Our goal was to create a space where you can unwind after a day of exploring or simply spend the entire day relaxing and enjoying the property. It’s the perfect spot to make lasting memories, whether you’re here for adventure or relaxation!
