Very clean, seamless check-in. We had an issue and the host representative was very communicative in a reassuring way. Great for railfans. We would recommend for anyone with an interest in trains, American industry, or Blue Ridge outdoor life.

This was a wonderful way to get away from the stresses of everyday life. The beautiful view of the river, watching America's industry in action while being close enough to dining and downtown offers opportunity to explore. Communication with the host was wonderful and very helpful and super welcoming.

We have stayed in many VRBO's over the years and this would rank in our top favorites list. It's a unique and well curated experience. Everything looks just the like pictures and better. The whole place is exceptionally clean, the bed is very comfortable, and the attention to detail and what you might need during your stay is top notch. They really have thought of everything. Communication was great with this team, Check in and check out was easy. We enjoyed watching the activity down below on the river and we thought that the sound from the factory was minimal inside the train car. They've done a nice job insulating it and making it very comfortable. The AC was good for the intense summer heat we've been having. We wished we had more time to enjoy the outside area that is so beautifully designed and set up. We look forward to staying here again when we visit Lynchburg,

We took a quick little getaway from Norfolk for my husband to have a jeep excursion at the George Washington National Forest. He is an avid lover of trains and James Station did not disappoint. We loved everything about our stay even down to our cute little neighbors, the beavers! We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Great place to vacation. Very cozy and peaceful. The noise from the foundry didn't bother us at all. And it was so interesting to watch. Great communication from our host. We were there when it was too cold to be outside. Highly recommended.

Graduation weekend

Very unique property, loved the views and all the amenities. Walkable to lots of restaurants and walking trails. We really enjoyed it!

This is the cutest little place you'll find in Lynchburg, very clean and well stocked. And very romantic overlooking the James River

Cute cozy, clean with high end touches

We really enjoyed staying at the caboose. The decor was aesthically pleasing while being very comfortable and the rental had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Amazing Stay

We had a wonderful two night stay at the James. It was spotless and exactly how it was pictured and described. The location is perfect. We walked downtown and to the River Front. We can’t wait to stay again!

Great little spot

Wonderful stay at the caboose. Excellent communication with the hosts! They were great to work with. As mentioned in the listing, it is on top of a hill overlooking a working steel mill, but once inside you could not hear anything! They did a grea job with insulation and blinds so it does not disturb you at night. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect for the Birthday Boy

We stayed overnight for our son's 6th birthday. The location is so close to everything downtown and what a great novelty place to stay! The bed was super comfortable and the view was great! We wish it had not been so cold the night we stayed because we wanted to check out the firepit! If you are looking for a unique place to stay, this is a great choice!

WOW!

The Caboose was exactly as described except better! We loved it. It is in a historic area of town. The view is phenomenal, the amenities are everything that is needed and it felt like home. We would stay here again. Thank you for opening the Caboose to us.
