Silos have fed people for years. Now they house them, too!

First we bought a caboose off FB marketplace and created James Station (see our other listing!). And now we're those crazy people who want you to "Stay Different" in a silo house. Silo on the James is part of the Stay Different collection by All Belong Co.

This can be a romantic getaway for couples, a fun friends meet up, or a family-friendly adventure with kids. It’s sure to be a unique experience you won't forget.

CLIMATE CONTROL: Yes, the silo is insulated! A remote controlled heating and air unit + a huge, 8-ft fan does the trick to control the temperature. For extra coziness, you can turn on the fireplace with or without heat.

PARKING: Up to 3 cars may park at the Silo (gravel driveway parking)

TV Services: Smart TV (guests use personal login credentials)

POTENTIAL FOR NOISE: You will hear the occasional sounds of trains going by, distant construction forklifts beeping, etc. The factory works through the night. Some nights can be noisier than others, and unfortunately this is out of our control. (Sunday nights and holidays tend to be the quietest as often the factory is off work!)

UPDATE: 9/29/26: Over the next week or so, the city is upgrading the water lines a block away from James Station. At times, you may hear daytime noise, or you may have to wait a minute for the construction workers to move their equipment to allow access past that street. They have assured me that you will always have access in and out of the property.

Our family lives nearby and is not usually bothered by it, but we realize it could be an issue, particularly if you're a light sleeper. The silo has sound-proofing insulation, and we provide a white noise machine and portable fan for your added comfort.
